The mortgage process is not the greatest. Lack of communication between different agents etc. Frustrating and unprofessional.

This is our 2nd Pulte Home. The staff at Pulte were "all" wonderful - sales (Julie, Lucero), construction (Elijah, Raul), mortgage (Jamela, Amber), title (Sandra) and post-closing follow-up (Hope, Manuel). They all provided clear thorough explanations, timely and responsive follow-up addressing questions, concerns. There were no surprises. We really appreciate their professional thorough work ethic.

Our builder kept us informed throughout our process. It was a quality built home and we are very happy we purchased through Pulte

I had a very bad experience during my loan approval process; a lot of miscommunication in between the teams involved that eventually affected my approval timeline; the process created a lot of stress for me and my family to the point of almost break the deal (even losing money doing so). At the end I got the approval and the house. We love the house, seems to be a little be high on cost compared with current market, since homes are being sold in the same area (pre-owned) 15-20% below the price we paid.

The lack of attention to detail during the construction process and the final product showed that Pulte’s commitment to providing an average product… Major kitchen construction issues that we caught requiring half of the kitchen to be replaced…substantial paint splatter on tile and grout…and more… The loan process took way too long for a $47k loan.., Final inspection items weren’t completely resolved… Plumbing installation was shoddy… Electrical switch not installed in the correct place.,, Shower glass door was installed crooked… Bathroom cabinet kick plate wasn’t installed properly.., Poor grouting in the second bathroom… Stucco stained…not sufficiently resolved… Electrical kitchen outlet not properly placed…impacting soft close drawer… The front courtyard drip system wasn’t connected to power…so no plants or trees were watered for a month… Warranty continues to assist in resolving most issues…but these items should have been addressed before the first final inspection… We love our home but the overall process has been less than exemplary… ... I had been searching for a new home in Albuquerque for some time and stumbled on La Cuentista Estates while out driving. I couldn’t be more happy with my new home. From start to finish, the process was seamless. And now that I’m in my home, I have a new appreciation for the quality of a Pulte home. When I have a question or warranty concern, Pulte customer service is right there (you actually get someone in the phone). The contractors are in the area and I’ve stopped them a couple times to ask questions and they were happy to explain things in detail. Moving from out-of-state is a big decision. All of our interactions were positive from start to finish. The entire team was responsive to issues and any concerns we had during the build process and after. Our construction manager Edgar was very knowledgeable, kept us informed during the build process, and addressed all concerns we identified during thr build and after.

Service during the search and sale was typical; so, no need to review Pulte home buying. What really matters is service after the sale and what a one-year warranty really means. Like Gen Z says, "Pictures or it didn't happen!" Since uploads are not allowed on this site, I direct you to Google reviews wherein pictures are posted. (You're welcome!) Cabinets in both bathrooms must have been damaged during install, but instead of REPLACING them, notice the pictures where the patchwork is blatantly obvious, giving the cabinets a "previously used" look. what an aesthetic for a "new build" home. Trim around bathroom where the surround meets the basin is already separating - can't wait to see the bathroom turn into a science lab for mold/mildew. The shower faucet spins around as if attached to nothing - which also means it is not properly sealed (providing yet another science lab location to study the growth rate of mold/mildew). Ring doorbell was installed prior to move-in but was not connected to the existing chime box properly. When the ring doorbell was rung, the person on the porch could hear it, but no one inside could. And the existing chime box buzzed incessantly for days before it smoked out the house with a melting plastic smell. And the Ring doorbell STILL does NOT ring inside the house. Had to program the Alexa device to announce when someone is at the door. Wait, there's more.... Brand new microwave that was installed had a warped keypad and the door must have separation between the two glasses because there is a bubble-looking spot that cannot be cleaned or deflated from either the exterior or the interior. (The sales rep who helped with the sale, explained it that way.). So, the "buck got passed" to GE warranty. Except that the microwave was manufactured in 2023, and no way of knowing when it was originally purchased. It's probable that Pulte buys appliances in bulk and stores them before install. GE wouldn't warranty the microwave. Pulte finally replaced it but did so begrudgingly, and only after multiple complaints. (Still haven't quite figured out the pattern of how many complaints must be lodged or by what methods, to enact action from Pulte to fix their work.) Wait! There's more.... After utilizing multiple methods of communication with Pulte people (verbally in person to our "assigned" account rep, Emanuel; via email to Emanuel and the New Mexico Pulte group mailbox; via a message on the office phone voicemail; and finally, via a website portal - the link which was provided in an automated reply email), we were finally scheduled to have the bathroom caulking where the shower surround meets the basin, re-caulked (wait for it...).... only to have the "crew" perform a standard "no-show" act. Further conversation with another Pulte rep (Hope), and we have a new tentative appointment. I say tentative because that is what we have come to expect from Pulte. This whole fiasco has become a game of sorts - us trying to get what was promised during the sale, and them trying to wait out the warranty term in an obvious attempt to avoid acknowledging their poor workmanship and sketch sales practices. As if no one will notice the stunning pace their "new build" homes go up for re-sale. (Looks like we are not the only ones with buyer's remorse.) When Pulte sales diminish further, perhaps the company will pause to consider the errors of their business practices. Six plus weeks out, still waiting on the replacement cabinets for the bathrooms. ... More

I am very happy with the follow up and scheduling repairs. Emmanuel is very professional

When it comes to paint, tile work and concrete, quality and craftsmanship is subpar. Tile grout issues and uneven tile placement. Paint is blotchy. Concrete has bucket imprints or areas that are cracked or not finished smoothly. Double check all your windows and sliding doors for ease of opening and closing as well as leaks. Project Manager was very responsive and corrected issues as best as he could.

My construction foreman Brennan was AMAZING! Pulte is very luck to have him. Also, Hollie the sales agents was super helpful and responsive to any question I might have had.

Interactions with the builder is what made this home buying experience feel safe, and reassuring that you are getting the quality you are paying for. Julio is the person that worked with and his customer service was top of the line. Julio was very knowledgeable and put the extra effort into making sure the home was to our liking. Thank you

Somewhat similar to every other builder.

I recently purchased a quick-close home with Pulte. I can’t comment on the design process. The sales team was very responsive and helpful before and after the process. They allowed me access to the home to get windows measured for blinds prior to close. The construction manager walked me through the home and explained the ins and outs very well. When I moved in the shower leaked, the dishwasher leaked and the AC didn’t turn on. The warranty team was extremely responsive. The AC was fixed in a matter of hours and the leaks were fixed quickly as well. Overall, I worry about the resale value of the home because it appears to be priced quite high compared to other new construction in the area but I appreciate the warranty. ... More

We’ve had a great deal of experience purchasing new builds and think that Pulte exceeds in many ways. Their level of customer service gave us a lot of confidence in them. Every person we dealt with, from sales to field manager, was responsive and knowledgeable. All calls were returned promptly and all questions answered. We felt part of the construction process and were kept well informed at each stage. If we had any issues or concerns, they were addressed quickly. Of all the homes we have built, all were built by tract or semi-custom companies. Pulte is far and away the best.

I do not appreciate nor cordon the way Pulte handled our final inspection. In attendance were my wife and me, the supervisor (worthless. No longer works for Pulte), the salesperson and the warranty lady. We were intimidated and overwhelmed. No questions we had were answered. Pulte needs to re-think this approach.

Our experience with purchasing a new home from Pulte at La Cuentesta was flawless, Our sales agent Patty made everything very easy by explaining the homes and was outstanding is assisting us through the paperwork. The homes are of high quality, and have excellent floor plans. Also any minor discrepancies we found after we moved in were quickly and efficiently resolved. I would recommend a Pulte home to anyone.

From beginning to end we were confident our home was going to be efficient, of high quality, and beautiful. Everyone we encountered from day one was kind professional and skilled! We could not be happier! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
