Closing was terrible

The house wasn’t finished at closing and we are going to be dealing with remaining issues for several months! The trade workers they use are terrible; it might be easier to fix things myself and would be done better. Not to mention you have to stay on top of it or they won’t do anything! Advice if you work with Pulte, stay on top of them from day one. And don’t buy one of they already built spec homes.

They tell you things have been ordered, but they haven’t. They insist that work was done because they believe the contractors over the homeowners—the ones who see the problems every day and know nothing has been done.

Before closing make sure all repairs/corrections have been made to your satisfaction. We had some minor issues that were still pending and were told at the final walk-thru they would be taken care of after the closing. When trying to schedule it became somewhat of a challenge. In all fairness the most crucial item did receive attention. Otherwise, we are very pleased with our new home : )

We love our new home and definitely feel like it is a beautiful, quality build. However, as soon as we moved in we began noticing area after area that needed small repairs and touch-ups, mainly cosmetic. We are currently working with the warranty department to fix over 2 dozen things. Most (not all) of the problems are only cosmetic, but they have left us frustrated and feeling as if the subcontractors (particularly the painters) were not properly supervised. For example, the ceiling/wall paint edging needs to be redone throughout almost the entire home because it is uneven and sloppy, there ...

Beautiful home, but moved in with multiple issues. Construction and cleaning crew did a poor job leaving paint spatters throughout the house on the outlets, carpet, windows, and tile floors. It took 2 months to get water heater to work properlt and two main walls downstairs are visibily bowed. Warranty officer is extremely responsive and has resolved issued quickly as trades are available, but shouldn't have to fix so many problems prior to us moving in...

Like many other large companies Pulte sells stability and process driven builds. Our experience however was not the best after the sales processes. 1) We had 3 field manager changes and we did not get acclimated to the process until about 5 steps in. 2) While the field manager did his best to rectify issues, the workmanship of the house was still just a little off (examples below) a) our cabinet drawers are still very stiff and do not slide back and forth well with daily use. Of course during our walkthrough they made sure the drawers slid as well as they could. But as soon as we put 3 ...

The amount that I paid for my home I would think that it would have been very close to perfect but there are many minor things wrong that add up in time getting them repaired. I haven't reached out to warranty yet to get them fixed, but I am sure hoping that they will make everything right. There were some pretty big hiccups along the way that I had to fight for them to fix and make right.

There is a culture of shoddy workman ship that has developed. Almost everyone who worked on our home had to come back to cleanup or redo something they did. Forget about the home warranty department. They don't respond. I will never buy from a National builder again.

They subcontract everything and those contractors are awful. Examples: doors don't hang properly, hot water doesn't work, carpet laid on construction debris and missing flooring, sprinklers leak, heating doesn't reach bedrooms etc etc.

Great value, quality construction, poor follow up with issues needing fixed after closing

Pulte makes a great house that we really love that's energy efficient and a style we like. Responsiveness to emails and calls was great prior to closing. However, after about a week of living in the new house, we had a list of about 5 things needing fixed. After addressing these issues with the construction manager, there was no urgency or communication on when they would be fixed. After multiple contacts with him, it ultimately took going to the Pulte sales rep and having him crack the whip to get the construction manager to fix just one of the issues. And now its been almost a month ...

House closed on 9/30/2019 per Pulte request and we could not movie in until 11/10/2019. Pulte refuse to pay utilities fee and HOA fee for the month of October, 2019. We as customer have to pay the utilities bill and HOA fee for the entire month of October, 2019 even we could not move in. Today is 11/15/2019 still have lot of issues need to be fixed. I'm taking vacation from work and sitting in the house waiting for works to come to fix problems. I hope someone from Pulte can help us to resolve all the issues. Currently, I could not get warranty manager or the construction manager to ...

When we closed on our house and did our inspection we were told by our construction manager that we had 30 days to report any issues we found with house that may have been missed in our final walkthrough. Once we identified these issues however, the people in customer service/repairs did not want to fix things. They claimed that we may have damaged them when we moved in. So here we are with a damaged garage, bathtubs, roof tiles, stucco and cabinet. So disappointed with our "dream home."

The choice of upgrades for the home are many are useful with gave us an opportunity to make the home comfortable and right for our needs. Thanks Pulte form building us a home for years to come.

We've been trying for years to have a new house built. We decided to go with Pulte because they had the floor plan we liked. During the build process, communication was pretty weak. They were 5 months late completing the house. During this time, getting updates was difficult. When it came time to close, the closing agent didn't have the most up to date paperwork (good thing I was paying attention). When we took delivery of the house, we began to notice just how poor the finishes actually were. Most of the doors have either finish or open/close defects while the majority of the trim ...
