Closed 7 months late. We have 3 good size holes into our attic, and nobody at customer care will return my calls. For over a week I have been trying to get a hold of anyone. Easier time getting a root canal done. Avoid Pulte!

Months of delays aside, which were hard to deal with at times, the overall process from our Sales Agent Jason to our Construction Manager Erik, and to our Mortgage Team (Kris and Ashley) was a very smooth and efficient process. Watching our house become a HOME has been an amazing experience.

Tradespeople were extremely sloppy in their work in all domains. I was not present for gliding or would not have closed given the issues we saw regarding bad tile work, scratched up cabinets. Fortunately, warranty service/customer care has been very responsive and helpful

Long delays and poor quality craftsmanship

How well received we were by Kori, Project Manager and Emmanuel, Warranty Manager to solve any usual expected new built issues we experienced. Pulte does a better build of homes in our opinion.

I would like to thank Gabriel who made it possible for me and my family to have our beautiful home . He believed in me , we have only been in this country for 1yr 7 months but he made our dream come true of being a home owner here in America ,he kept us up to date with everything and he always answered our calls when ever we called him . Took 13 months to build our house when it was supposed to be 5, maybe 6 months. Even then the house wasn't finished when they rushed us to closing. We had them come back twice for cleaning and they still couldn't get the floors mopped, grout off the tiles, construction adhesive and paint off the windows. 2 months later we are still waiting for punch list items to be completed. Pulte hasn't adopted their building practices, especially purchasing, to a COVID world. They just continually use the excuse "because of COVID". Great quality home here in Rio Rancho.

This is the fifth new home we have purchased in our lifetimes. This has been, and continues to be, the worst customer experience. Pulte appears to have made bottom line decisions which have severely impacted the quality of their home build and the outcome of the customer experience. They do not provide an adequate number of construction supervisors for the number of homes they are building. This is why we will not recommend Pulte to family or friends.

Just moved into my new house a month ago. Pulte was VERY motivated to get my house done for their quarterly numbers. They moved heaven and earth to get my house done be Dec 30th. The past few weeks though have been hard to get ahold of my contractor, issues are still outstanding, and I sometimes get a timely callback. It’s like once you sign they don’t really care too much. Walls are crooked that have to be fixed. Doors don’t align. Wind can be heard inside the house by the vent flaps. The outside of my house has stucco issues that aren’t fixed. A hole in my new backyard wall just appeared. And it’s on me to contact Pulte for everything, only to have the ball dropped every time. It’s exhausting working with them. My suggestions after I’ve been through this process: scrutinize everything. Never sign documents without sleeping on them. Take a microscope to walkthroughs. Say “no, that’s not good enough sorry” more. You must advocate for yourself strongly - Pulte is only in it for themselves and are not the true partner they advertise as. There are 20 houses around me getting attention and I’ve asked my contractor 4 weeks ago for the walls in my shower to be smooth and with no holes. No response. Prepare yourself. ... More

I realize that many issues we had were out of the hands of the builder with COVID putting a strain on the entire industry. But my frustration with the lack of communication during the building process. With our last build (before COVID) we had four walk throughs of our home as it was being built, we knew when things were happening, with this one we had 2, one was technically our final walk through and our house wasn’t even close to being done (with us closing in two days). Again, a lot of this was due to us building during COVID, but living over an hour away, I wish they had told me not to come saying the home wasn’t ready. A lot of the issues we pointed out before close weren’t dealt with, we had to reach out to our warranty specialist, such as finishing painting our house, fixing our lock on the front door that was installed incorrectly and fixing a leak on our secondary bathroom. It was definitely frustrating. Thankfully the warranty team has been very responsive, and has worked with us to make our home what we wanted. The experience was a pretty bad one overall. The building time took way to long, but given the shortage of workers and materials, this can be overlooked. When neighbors have to call you to tell you some of the framing is warped, cut to short in places, and 2×4s have way to much bark, therefor, making for a weak structure, that's pretty bad! On our walk thru, it seemed as though we were walking thru a used house. It was full of dust, throughout, lose grout, and smudged window panes, along with cabinets that were so full of dust, you couldn't possibly put your dishes or food away, the closets were full of dust, the kitchen had a punched in cabinet and the roll outs on one of the cabinets were left out, from the great room you can see the a/c thru the window cause of poor placement, some of the tile was cut short, and instead of replacing it, they filled it in with grout, the carpet in the main bedroom is coming away from the tile, there were some problems with the outside finish of the house, the sliders were full of grout, stucco, or dirt, the light placement over the breakfast bar was completely off center, and had to be redone. My husband, who has no building experience, brought it to their attention, and had to be redone or centered, the garage was left unfinished, making this nice home look cheap, We lived away while the house was being built, but thanks to certain people who suggested we should come look, the bad 2x4s may have been covered, and we might have never found out till the house would settle in a bad way. We had to address these issues, and though they should have not been from the start, most of the items were fixed, and according to the superintendent all will be addressed after our move in. Now, their mortgage company led us to believe all was ok for 11 months, but a month and a few days before the closing, they called and said we couldn't qualify because of certain self employment rules, and covid. They had most of our paperwork from 11 months prior to closing, and as they requested additional along the way we furnished what they needed, some of which was several times. I am sorry we have to sound like unhappy buyers, but we have bought several homes throughout our lives, and never had to go thru this. Ensuring that items that needed to be addressed in a timely manner did not happen. Had to keep following up myself instead of them just taking care if the few issues there were.

Nothing but issues since move in. Instead of enjoying my home all I have been doing is taking pictures, documenting, emailing and following up. The flooring was installed incorrectly which is the largest issue and I’m having to fight every step of the way. I thought Pulte delivered quality but apparently they allow tolerance for lippage so they are only fixing the ones that are really bad. Outside of that that I have tons of pictures showing that every room in the house has issues including the backyard which was left with nails, razor blades and construction debris.

Be patient and enjoy YOUR home buying experience, don't let delays steal your joy and excitement.

Pulte subcontracts, the subcontractors hire people that have zero skills (less money spent, right?) Our home is a nightmare with a ton of issues from the beginning with a plethora of construction and workmanship issues. Pulte is less than responsive, admits no fault, refuses to put anything in writing, says they will do one thing, but never do. We contracted in good faith, kept our end of the deal, but not Pulte. Do NOT waste your money, your time, or your energy. Pulte claims they have quality home and offer the consumer peace of mind, but nothing could be further from the truth. I am fairly certain that a class action lawsuit will be the result of this nightmare scenario, which is absolutely unfair to the new owners. ... More

Very disappointing , not very Trustworthiness on repairs in a timely manner

The only issue I have had is that after the walk through, we identified a few things that needed to be fixed - two issues had not been resolved at the time we moved in. That was a bit of a disappointment.

We appreciate that we were able to move into our new house; however, many items were not completed upon closing. The builder has not been responsive to the work promised, and now we have to go through the warranty process. Lastly, the builder did not include the option of purchasing a refrigerator.

Make sure that you KNOW Your building manager and the Upper management names BEFORE YOU SIGN Anything!

Shoddy workmanship. Tile is not level, molding around all the doors was cut too short and filled in with caulk. Some of the molding around kitchen island is unpainted. Missing grout in grout lines on floor. It looks like nobody cared about their workmanship.
