Lot of cosmatic mistakes -- like the wall finishes are not done properly. Base Boards are not done properly. The wall or the dry wall is uneven. Plumbing is not good. Outside grading is not good.

We thought Pulte homes are highest quality and workmanship but after moving we are disappointed with the way construction happend. It seems like rushed construction made distortions, defects. we are raising warranty tickets to correct them. Also we bought this home just for school purpose but school zone changed next day of our move in. So please tell customers likelyhood of changing school zone

We had personality issues Pulte Mortgage and had to surrender the closing cost incentive to get outside financing. When we attempted to speak to a manager about the issues with our loan counselor we never heard back from the manager but we did get a nasty call from the loan officer. Also, we have several warranty issues to claim but there most egregious and frustrating we didn’t notice on the walk through with the lights on. Every single seam in the drywall on the walls and ceilings is visible in the natural light. Every wall and ceiling in the entire home has seams showing. Now that ...

We had an okay experience with the home buying process. The sales office and project manager were great to work with. We had a very upsetting experience with the Pulte Mortgage lender who preapproved us at 1.5% lower than their actual rate. We used another lender who was more than 1.5% lower than the mortgage company and Pulte came fighting for our business. We lost trust in them. The building of the homes is okay. There is poor craftsmanship throughout the home. I will say that they were addressed but a new counter top should not have a nick in it or the floors have repaired scratches. ...

Let me just start by saying we love our Pulte home. It’s beautiful, the layout makes sense, and it’s ours! However, not all parts of the process were ideal. The buying and material selection process were great. Our agent, Wayne, was so helpful and answered our million questions. My main concern is the quality of the workmanship of my home. There were so many issues during our walkthroughs where messy mistakes were made and not corrected. Our project manager seemed to brush a lot of these to the side in order to make the closing date and now we’re left submitting request after request through ...

Pulte Homes - You really have to stay on top of workmanship.

You really have to stay on top of workmanship. Paint job was sloppy. I really don't understand why builders use flat paint on wall as very hard to clean. I did have a few issues that were taken care of promptly after I moved in. Otherwise a few things that were not addressed so guess now have to wait before one year warranty is up to get addressed. Otherwise for a first time home buyer I love my home.

While watching the building experience was enjoyable the continual issues we continue to have has not been. There has been a lot of pointing the finger when is comes to the repairs that need to be done. Most of which were addressed prior to closing. We have major drainage issues and I’ve reported this numerous times along with pictures and nothing has been resolved. Actually I’m getting ready to email Joy again. Not satisfied!

The buying process, NOT SO GOOD ( Lance) lack of information on optional and details. Did not provide all options which changed our buying process and the things we WANTED to select. Mike on the other hands as the saving Grace to keeping us in the house. He’s one of the best representatives we’ve ever worked with. He top notch and knows his craft. We had great experiences with our sales agent and field supervisor. Steve, our field rep, was especially good--went the extra mile to ensure our concerns were addressed to the best of his ability. However, not even his best efforts could overcome the carelessness and sloppiness of the construction crew, and a handoff issue at the design center has caused disappointment and ongoing frustration. Post-sales/warranty support has been disappointing. It's taken multiple attempts and constant follow-up to get the remaining issues addressed. It's not a bad house, but if you buy here--do frequent ...

Thrown up as fast as possible and the small details have been very overlooked. Their contractors lack the quality they should be showing their clients and the customer ends up having that fight with Pulte and Pulte tries to get away with as much as possible.

House still have very high humidity because of poor paint, and constructions. Very low quality sprinkler heads. Stones that they installed is not up to the expectations. Granite's are not sealed at all. Light switches in wrong places in the room. cheap plants for this luxury neighborhood homes, poor land grading, never cleaned the yard after roof installs and having lots of nails in the yard, crown molding joints are visible. Low end HVAC units and the A/C failed within a week. Very bad experience with closing. The management don't want to work with us during the Covid19 issue. Warranty team ...

Construction of my 4th new home just happened to be slightly ahead of the pandemic. The mandated downtime made me look closer at workmanship and materials. I noticed several issues that I’ve requested action on, to no avail. Employees come and go, each promise timely service and then disappear. I resolve some issues myself without the hassle of trying to arouse the interest of the come-and-go Pulte workers.

The best advice we were given and didn't follow was "Don't settle until everything is correct!". We believed the people we spoke to had our best interest at heart. However, once they had our money, we were less of a priority...and we still are! We settled right as the pandemic took hold of the country. We appreciate that they needed to keep their workers safe. We only wish they had corrected all of the blue and green tape items that had been mark and promises they had made to us prior to us closing. Additionally, we are now finding out just how much "misinformation" we were ...

For a half million dollar house, I am greatly disappointed. I had high hopes that Pulte would build us a quality home and what we have encountered thus far is the opposite of quality. There are sections of our drywall that look like a toddler was set loose with mud and they called it a good day. Paint haphazardly applied (literally, it appears as though somebody spilled a substantial amount of paint on the floor in our downstairs powder room and couldn’t be bothered to clean it all up- I am still scraping paint out from in between my floor boards). Some of the worst finishes especially when ...

Challenging Construction Process

What started as a very positive experience with sales and the design studio became more challenging once construction began. We encountered ongoing issues with follow-up, communication, and workmanship throughout the build. As a frame of reference, this is our third home and first new build. We selected most upgrades offered in our model and through the design studio. Despite being actively involved throughout the process, the overall quality did not fully meet our expectations, an experience we have since learned is shared by other Pulte homeowners in the area. While we are happy to be ...

The quality of workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. Further, for a brand new home, the place was very dirty upon move-in. Lacking an attention to detail for sure. We have daylight showing beneath main doors to the outside and between the siding slats in the attic. This can't be energy efficient as advertised.

I believe what we got is a spec home, sold as is built as someone dropped. We faced number of challenges since we moved in and customer service personnel seem to be more of a co-ordinator rather than owning up to service the needs. Issues identified on hardwood flooring was coordinated with manufacturer who apparently said they don't cover the issues reported although it was acknowledged as an issue. An AC sensor along with thermostat that was supposed to be installed was never done, so the cool/heat is inconsistent. AC service company visited thrice to fix basement issues correcting ...

We started the process very excited and optimistic, but after closing there were a lot of disappointments. The "upgrade"s we paid for, feel more like cheap downgrades due to poor material and workmanship. We paid extra for a recirculating pump on the water heater to have instant hot water; it was never delivered. We were promised a number of repairs and touch-ups will be made just prior to closing; after closing we found out many of those were never done... We were also given false information about various things like irrigation system, etc. only to find out it was all wrong.
