Great Service From New Home Specialist... Mediocre Workmanship

Mediocre quality and follow through from construction team! Pulte should do a better job upfront instead of sending subcontractors to constantly correct their mistakes.

For additional lot payments of $17,000 for an end unit and $23,000 for the lot premium, all that bought was a dining room window and side brick facade that does not align with the front brick facade. Usually an end unit has some bit of property on the side and back. I understood before making my deposit that abutting the fence would affect the size of the deck, but I did not expect the entire back lot to become a quarry due to the English basement foundation or the end unit to have absolutely no side lot. I specifically asked the sales agent about the lot because of my son’s dog and ...

The Central Point community appears very nice, but the interiors of the homes are not as attractive as they should be due to a lack of high quality workmanship. Additionally, my home buying experience with Pulte Homes was very disappointing. My celebration walkthrough was performed while my home was incomplete and while there were serious paint issues everywhere. I also required multiple independent home inspections before being able to feel comfortable with my purchase, and I did not appreciate being rushed to sign on my home before a passing inspection was obtained. Pulte Homes has a lot of ...

For the price paid our expectations were higher. We are unfortunately frustrated and surprised by the lack of responsiveness to multiple concerns we had and have now. Hoping for some resolution sooner than later.

Everything starts out well and goes smooth until about 6+ months in. Completion seemed to drag out well past what we thought but then finally wrapped up very quickly at the end but with items still left to be completed after closing. You obviously agree because you’ve been waiting so long and are just ready to close. Once you close it’s like pulling teeth to get those leftover items completed. I’m still waiting on things to be completed and I’ve been in the house for 3 months.

Do your homework. Pay attention. Ask questions. Don't expect honesty, demand it. Follow up if something is not correct. Elevate issues immediately. Give yourself at least 30 days to be in your new home prior to providing a home builder rating.

1. Change filed manager in the process of home building without notifying me until I found out. 2. Not detail oriented (sod is not install correctly, it's uneven and a lot of holes) 3. Outside of the house still need to be worked 4. I love the neighborhood but pulte can do better job than this. If there is a way for me to send pictures I will love to show you what happened to the house. Overall it's not a good experience.

As I moved into my home I found a lot of things that I am not pleased with... like water damage to one of my doors, the toilet paper wall mounts too close together... uneven walls... drywall issues... rust stains in my tub.... and the fact that the place was not cleaned before I moved in... I have to mop, clean cabinets, bathrooms, the whole house before I could move my stuff in...

At the beginning of the home buying experience, I asked what makes Pulte a better home than Ryan Homes, M/I, etc. I was told that Pulte is an overall better quality in workmanship, materials, and process. I will say the process was pretty good, but most builders have the same process in place. The workmanship and materials is a different story. The non-structural materials are pretty good as long as you upgrade. The structural materials like drywall, foundation, and exterior landscaping is not good. Way below expectations. And workmanship, besides for a couple trades like tiling was shoddy. I ...

Poor Quality, Never for a Long-term Home

I do not have a door bell. The placement of the downstairs thermostat is behind where your TV is. The light in the kitchen / dining area is no where near where a table should be. Why is the outside spicket in the garage? Also, unless you drive two compact cars, the garage is not a two-car one. It isn’t a bad floor-plan. The master bedroom is nice a big with a function walk-in closet and large master bathroom. Overall, Pulte builds a substandard product with very little attention to detail.

I’m sad to write this review, because the actual home buying experience with Pulte was amazing. But now that I’ve been in my home for 2 months, I’m noticing so many issues. Cracked tiles, missing/poorly done grout work, crooked windows, broken windows, holes emerging in my yard and I’m still trying to get the thousands of paint droplets off my hardwood flooring. This is my second new build and we never experienced this level of poor workmanship in our prior home. So utterly disappointing.

This was the first time we had a new house built and will definitely be the last. We had no idea what we were getting into. The day we put our deposit down we were instructed that we had to choose the plan we wanted that day. Next we were instructed to meet with the interior design team to pick out what we wanted inside the house. We were allotted only 3 hours to pick out everything from granite to cabinets , flooring and paint. I wished we were given more time as 3 hours is not near enough time to decide. Then 2 weeks before we closed there were several issues that needed to be corrected ...

After submitting an offer that was excepted, a deposit was made, and a very important item that was agreed upon was taken away. It’s tough and I could forfeit my deposit I was told I would not get the item after three weeks into this and there was nothing they could do about it. I was told I could forfeit my deposit if I didn’t like it. I was hoping after communicating back-and-forth for weeks on this item that it will come to a resolution that I was very happy with and unfortunately it did not. Another frustration I have concerns a privacy fence request that I submitted weeks ago. I have ...

If the model home would have had the fit and finish and paint work that our home has, I would have never bought a Pulte Home. I would fire the painters and the finish carpenters on the spot. This is our 5th house and by far the worst fit and finished house. The bright spot is that Pulte has a good warranty department. Lisa has been wonderful to work with. We have already had several warranty claims and Lisa has had the workers to come out in a timely manner.

I bought a home out of state so my experience will be different I'm sure. My husband flew down the week before closing to address any issues that weren't caught the day before by the warranty manager. He flew down a week later to see they had not even begun, even though he was going to our closing an hour later. Since then, we have had sub contractors in and out of our home to do everything from remove paint on floors, clean windows that appear to have smoke damage, remove cabinets to install lighting that they forgot to, cut holes in sheet rock to run a new conduit for internet ...

Quality is the biggest concern. From the building materials to the construction process itself, there are issues at every stage. Initially, I believed that Pulte was responsible for the end-to-end delivery with a strong focus on quality, but that’s clearly not the case. There are still numerous areas where things are falling short. Given the price I paid, I don’t believe it’s worth it. The overall experience doesn’t align with the expectations set at the time of purchase.

I highly recommend working with a smaller, more localized builder or purchasing an existing home and working with a contractor you can pay more attention to detail with along the way in order to customize. Overall, we like our home because we chose the neighborhood over the floor plans to begin with, but we are also willing and able enough to fix the mistakes made by the builder on our own and with the help of [capable] contractors. Based on the quality of work, we are glad we passed on several builder upgrades so that we can have them installed by true professionals.
