Sales person was awesome, Building supervisor was also awesome but didn't do what he promised

Our Sales person was awesome, she guided us perfectly through the beginning process. Our Building supervisor was also an awesome person, fun to talk to, but he didn't do what he had promised us , which left us no choice to see help from other management. The end result was good,...it just could have been a little smoother.

Pulte Homes responded:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that our sales team provided you with helpful and supportive service. We're disappointed to hear that your building supervisor did not follow through on his promises and regret any inconvenience this may have caused. While we're happy to hear that the final result met your expectations, we understand how important it is for the entire process to feel seamless. Thank you again. ^KH

After making a deposit, we waited months for our home to begin construction. We paid for an unfinished garage. However, the sheet rock, tape and mud were a mess and required a professional to smooth out the wall and make them paintable. All of this was added expenses that could've been avoided.

Overall the project manager does his best to resolve building issues and he is very responsive to our concerns. The subcontractors need more attention to resolve and detail.

Pulte sales team is top notch and design center is well organized and easy to pick out things. The design and some of the craftsmanship is well done. The finish needs some work. Spackling, Nail pops, lines in ceiling, spaces in flooring Give the home an unfinished look. I’ve had a difficult time scheduling to fix some of these items. As a professional I expect E-mails at least be answered within 48 to 72 hours. You get a generalized email (automated) but nothing of a dressing concerns or scheduling to fix concerns. My best advice would be is to not close until everything in your house is ...

Pulte Homes - Everyone has been very nice and Daniel has always been helpful

Everyone has been very nice and Daniel has always been helpful and has responded to our questions and issues in a timely manner. Our complaints are with the quality of finish work and painting that leave a lot to be desired. We know everyone is busy and on time schedules but this is the last home we planned to buy and really didn't want "projects" when it was "move-in ready", plus we invested a lot of money to buy the home! Dealing with paperwork online (with people in Colorado) was confusing for us... we are not up with modern technology and we were often very frustrated with the process. ...

Great bones, poor finishing

Very nice home floor plans & options/interior selections, great structural framing, but poor finish work: you can see drywall seams, dings/gouges in door trim, poor paint coverage on trim (can see nail holes). Won’t do it right the first time, but can do it under warranty after you move in (maybe?)!

We closed escrow on 5/10 and have not yet moved in (today is 7/11). In the 8 weeks of availability for the walk thru items to be completed, they are not. This is not an impressive way to build trust with customers. We are less than impressed.

Was extremely excited about purchasing this new home from Pulte. the Sales representative (Tom) demonstrated to be very fair, honest and upfront about this purchase and assisted me in making great selections / upgrades. The onsite finance representative in my opinion was not attentive with my paperwork and failed to return phone calls. When it was time for me to choose the options AFTER I signed a contract the Design team member demonstrated poor customer service, I felt rushed during the limited time frame allotted, several options that I preferred just two days before our scheduled meeting ...

Best to be on site and monitor their progress personally and question why sometimes there was a lack of progress causing delays to occur that could of and should have been prevented if a timeline check list had been to monitor what critical paths have to be followed to remain on track to the completion date that was established when the project started.

As homebuyers we looked at many homes built by various builders. We choose Pulte because the quality shown in the models homes was beautiful. Our sales person promised the same quality to be in our new home. Pulte fell short. They build homes very fast and the quality and workmanship is not there. Our home was not perfect and beautiful the day of closing, in fact that day the drywall trimmers and painters were still trying to fix issues from the walk thru. Pulte does not have quality professional drywall trim and painters. Their work is terrible from ceilings bubbling and repaired numerous ...

Warranty Program is Difficult

Our home is located in Eagle Run, Calabash, NC. To obtain warranty service someone must be home. This makes it difficult for us to obtain warranty services. We installed a lock box and are willing to let service people enter the home. Post closing we have noticed several areas of shoddy workmanship. We are fixing them ourselves.

Pulte Homes responded:
Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how challenging it can be to coordinate warranty service when someone must be present, and we appreciate your willingness to install a lock box to help accommodate access. We're sorry to hear you've encountered areas of poor workmanship and that you've had to handle some of the fixes on your own. We had a very positive experience with our Sales Representative, Danielle, but the Construction Manager was a poor communicator, and subsequently, as we have discovered later, and poor manager. (He is no longer employed at Pulte) We purchased a quick move in that was at the interior trim stage, and we were out of town buyers, and thus could not keep tabs on construction process. We have had difficulty with followup on service requests, using their required, touted, on-line problem reporting process. Pulte has a wonderful process, on paper, but the actual execution and chain of ...

I paid for upgrade paint and doesn’t cover. . And painters didn’t give another coat. I was told paint company having problems with the color I chose. Supervisor wouldn’t let me change color since painters have to come back. So I’m stuck with paint that doesn’t cover.

The buying process was smooth. I was expecting a higher grade of materials and appliances. Craftsmanship was lacking in the overall build. Areas that needed touch up are being addressed, but still not complete. We do like the neighborhood and the style of home is just right for us.
