The house is leaking less than 30 days after closing and the heat system is not working in just 30 days.

I feel the house was rushed and should have been built with a little more care and quality. Only a month in and submitting warrenty claims.

Pulte sales team was great and got us set up fast and efficiently. Our construction manager was attentive during the construction phase but after it was a challenge to keep on them to finish the necessary work after closing. The build quality is passable but often find it wasn't done with any level of craftsmanship. Landscaping left much to be desired. Sod placed in the dead of winter has died and have been trying to wait for a reply. The sod dying and not taking is leading to some soil erosion and grading issues. I hope they respond soon to resolve this issue.

Expecting a few things to be fixed when we come closer to 1 year warranty.

Unfortunately, I wish I could give 5 star reviews. While the manager was great, all the issues have began after we moved in. The quality of the products isn’t great, some caulk is already falling out, 6 weeks after we moved in and some of the items that were out in the punch list still not finished plus new issues came up. I think the house building process was rushed and the could have been a better quality control.

Kept me out of the loop majority of the time and periodically checked in to see how things were going, however, never actually followed up on anything. For example, asked him to fix a bedroom door that wouldn't close and he said he would come by that week and he never came. I asked him at move-in to remove some stickers from a window and 2 weeks later I went up to him in person and asked him to come right then to remove the sticker, but he never remembered to come on his own. Still have several things he said he would stop by and fix and never has, my garage door doesn't even lock and he hasn't fixed that yet. ... More

Pulte builds cheap quality homes. After moving in I definitely felt that in terms of value proposition, it is not worth it. The homes are built with cheap quality materials and finishes.

Workmanship is not good and fixing problems after closing is very difficult

It took a while to get started but once we did the purchase part was fairly simple. We did have major concerns regarding our lot and the final look of it. Transparency was a huge issue. We were offended by someone from Pulte while trying to resolve the issue and ended up going to the city for help. Our sales contact was relocated after we bought and introduced us to her replacement. However, we had a single email from him and when we asked to meet he couldn't arrange a meeting as he too was moved! Our FM, Chris, was very easy to work with and cooperative. He helped us in every way he could throughout the build. He delivered a complete product as we expected at closing. We would certainly recommend him. AFTER closing we found a couple of things that were not right and not attributabke to our FM but rather to "PULTE design requirements". Our cafe light was not centered and we had to seal our own grout! We are senior citizens and did not expect to have to do this! We are very disappointed with the layout of the kitchen. It is a poor design and not what we expected or were shown by the design center. Because we have a corner lot, and paid an additional fee for it, we were told we would have some extra landscaping there but there is none. We don't really care about not having it but why were we told we would have it? Our mortgage contacts were excellent, helpful, always responsive and a pleasure to work with. We believe a buyer should walk the lot as it will be and it should not change without the buyer being made aware of it. Buyers should not be given a diagram of what their kitchen will look like and then, when it goes in, be told that the diagram really wasn't how it would look. As beautiful as our home is, (thanks to our FM) and given that we do have wonderful neighbors, it was a painful process to get through and we are not certain we would choose to buy again. We know things were held up due to pandemic and certainly understood that, but definitely feel these other concerns could have been avoided. ... More

Overall I am pretty pleased with my construction. There have been a few shortcomings, however the warantee department is being very helpful

I recommend a new Pulte buyer gets their own financing. Pulte mortgage was less than satisfactory and made me feel like I couldn’t afford their homes. My sales person, Nick was great. Very responsive and helpful. My builder, Adam was also very good responsive and helpful.

Overall house looks good and build quality is okay, but the upgrade options looks way cheaper than the price charged

While the initial process was fantastic- we were soon shifted to another sales agent and a CM who was very unresponsive to our requests and issues at the beginning. I had to go above their heads multiple times to try and get things accomplished- This company will NOT share anyone above them with you- so you have to investigate yourself. While our home is beautiful, there are so many small things that really added up. We never really felt like anyone cared much for our concerns til I made a much bigger deal of them than I should have needed to. It is very disheartening to spend that kind of money on a home, only to be met with consistent "no's" unless I supremely pushed. The lack of attention to detail is glaring and can be seen in so many spots in our home. I get they arent custom, but that does not mean that you should take shortcuts to save a buck or a moment. I found a new construction Pulte home when the frame was already up, and was told that due to that, no design/customization could be made because Pulte had already made all decisions and purchased all materials. The sales associate just seemed very un-accomodating in that regard and I'm not sure if there was a window of opportunity to make some design changes to my liking, or not (I am a first time home buyer). Regardless, if changes were not feasible, I should have been provided with a full rendering of the interior/exterior of the home so I could know what to expect and make a better informed choice about purchasing the home. In the end, I was not totally satisfied with the appearance of the exterior and would have made selected some other interior options as well. Additionally, I was informed by the Sales Specialist that there was a Amtrak train track near my street/homesite but that she had seldom heard any trains come by and it was just Amtrak that passed quickly. However, both Amtrak and very noisy freight trains come through routinely throughout the day AND night. Had I known about the train aspect, I would not have purchased this particular home. This is also of paramount importance because due to COVID-19, I work from home and it is important to live in a community where there are little to no noise distractions. I feel that the information provided to me and my realtor (who was present with me at the time) was both misinformed and misleading. Of note, the temporary sales office in the community was not as close to the train track as my home, so the Sales Specialist would not actually know about train activity during the day or night unless she spent significant time near my street/at my home site. I, along with my realtor, would have appreciated a more honest answer regarding the trains so that I could have avoided purchasing a home that is not in a location to my satisfaction or tolerability. ... It is really funny that they erected the dry wall in two days and then took 2.5 months to fix the errors made in dry wall. Though the errors were corrected after fight, I wasted lot of time in follwoing this up. There is no gaurantee that the higher up will listen to you. If you are new home owner, make sure that you inspect every day progress. If you don't, they will work on their own and dump on you. Overall, I got home, nice and clean; but I after LOTS of affords.

Not impressed with having to follow up on issues identified during closing 7 weeks ago . Still chasing work to be completed.

Since moving into our house, we have had quite a few issues (broken furnace, plumbing not working, creaky floors) as well as realizing that there were some poor design choices or just cheapness (cabinet doors that need bumpers because they bang into walls and other cabinets, odd placement of countless light switches, master bath door opens in front of shower, frames only on 3 out of 6 mirrors, counter overhangs not quite enough for comfortable seating, floor tiles and vinyl not running the way any of us would have expected, furnace lines running directly in the center of the master bedroom wall and not protected by anything other than drywall). Eventually I think we will be happy with the house ... hopefully the issues that we have been experiencing will all be taken care of, and hopefully this is just a bad start and we won't continue to have problems. ... During construction, I was notified that Pulte was changing cabinet vendors and the color of cabinet I initially chose would no longer be offered. I asked questions to the construction manager and salesperson to see if I could still get the color we picked from the original vendors at all, and if so, how long that delay would be. I didn't receive direct answers or updates on the situation for about two weeks. During that time, a new color was selected, installed in the home, then subsequently ripped out, then the original cabinets were ordered, but would cause a 3 week delay in closing. All of these decisions were made without my knowledge or approval. I finally demanded a zoom meeting with everyone where I was finally made aware of the situation. Had I known that the new vendor cabinets were already installed, and how much the estimated delay would have been, my decision to keep the initial cabinets installed may have been different. I think the salesperson and construction manager could have improved their communication throughout the construction process to allow me to make more informed decisions on my home. ... More

Pulte build house with bare minimum quality products.

Lack of communication throughout the whole process. The right hand often doesn’t talk to the left.

The home building process was good. Had few minor issues before the closing which the field manager had taken into account and said he would get them fixed. But the field manager has only done a few and still lot more left to fix, but he does not respond to emails anymore.

I love the area, and I love my house but the finishing is not at my expectations especially the price we paid. Closing was bad. Document was not ready because the salesperson Daniel had an error on our doc which we called them and he was not happy with our call on his day off. Also wiring the money didn't get the instructions until tell last minute…. Was very stressful

The microwave had stopped working 2 days after closing. I waited 4 weeks for it to be repaired. That's poor customer service.

Poor after sale service. Not a good experience of buying a house.

Bad experience... Firstly, when I bid my home, I entered a price for $28xxx for the amount I will to pay additionally, and they increased this number by $4000, which ends up with $32000. Also got a first month electricity bill for near $600, and I even didn't completely move in to my home. I only stay during weekend and there is no way causing such amount. Also called inspection and warranty, no body ever give me a responsible advise and result. Called warranty to repair my window, nobody ever showed up. Never going to buy their home again...
