Quality for $400K is NOT a priority

The location was very desirable, but the Quality was not. Expectations for a nearly $400K unit were simply NOT met. The upgrades which were nearly $50K, were done with very little attention to Quality. My expectations for a new build were similar to purchasing a new car, yet this Pulte Townhome offered very little of that. Poor quality was evident in the painting, caulking, trim work. The construction process left the carpet full of construction dirt, despite the claim that it was "deep cleaned". Simple items such as insuring the windows were cleaned, were not completed. Various vendors experiment on the name of Pulte

Pulte handed over to several vendors for construction. Many individuals are freshets and don’t know basics. They simply experiment on Home. While pulte boast building energy efficient homes, they provided single switch for entire exterior configuration of lights. Engineer don’t want to correct any thing in Rutherford,Fuquay Varina

The quality of all the materials feel very cheap and the work looks like it was rushed. For the price paid I definitely expected at least a bit more quality in regards to carpets, vinyl sheets in bathrooms and flooring.

Quality of workmen ship and materials used were not even up-to the mark. Construction managers had no control on the contractors. They just do things on their own. I would say, they deployed some freshers to do the job and they did what they can do. Most of the items in the house had issues. They tried masking these up during the walkthrough. Upon using these items on a daily basis we started seeing issues. When reached out to warranty team, they came back saying that the damage could have happened because of the usage which doesn’t make any sense. No one cares about the issues and ...

I’m still not receiving any US mail since Pulte gave us the incorrect city and zip code. The materials used are cheap, things put together too fast. Sloppy job. Appliances are not high quality either.

Not accommodating to minor modifications. House was NOT done at time of closing. For the price would have expected a much higher quality. Construction cleanliness was extremely poor, we had several nearby under construction and constantly had to pick up trash at our house.

One word to say about pulte is “Worst”. Right from the beginning of home contract signing nothing went according to the plan. Delivery date got pushed 4 times without any prior notice. I was literally homeless for almost 23 days staying in hotels and friends place due to Pultes last minute date push. No compensation was provided with all these issues. More over after moving in, house is sub par. Floors are with paint stains, my master bathroom was completed after a month of move in. Still open issues yet to be addressed by service team. Worst sales consultants to begin with. Construction manager is never available for questions. The in answer he had S is that a host is built by humans so it will have issues and defects and will never be perfect. This is his standard answer to all the lousy workmanship on the house. Absolutely poor quality build.

What a nightmare

Pulte does not supervise subcontractors and demand that work be done right the first time. Subcontractors do the bare minimum. They are supposed to clean up after themselves, but this is not enforced, so our lot and house were trashed repeatedly. There is no pride in workmanship.

The Pulte sales team fails to admit and take responsibility for any wrong doings or mistakes that they've made. They will attempt to sweep their mistakes under the rug and fail to communicate their errors or find a solution. You will have to contact them many times in order to receive a response. However, Dustin, the construction manager, is great to work with! He spends quality time reviewing the construction process during each step of the home building process!

With the number of issues we found during the inspections and walkthroughs, I am not confident that the house is of good quality. I now question if there were things we missed due to the shear amount we did find. It leads me to believe one of two things, the project manger saw the things that were wrong and didn't care or he had never done a walkthrough before showing us the house, both of which, are equally frightening.

Do Not Trust Pulte Builders

Not a trustworthy company to buy a house. They change the words just like that. Until you sign the contract sales rep will haunt you. Once you sign the contract and pay the 5%, that’s it. Their real colors will come out. For a first time home buyer, this is not the company to choose for. I would say I had the worst experience with Pulte. Initially i thought it’s just me, then when I spoke to my Neighbour’s and friends who bought homes with Pulte, they echoed the same as I did. Bad bad bad experience..that’s all I can say

Moving in day nightmare!

First day at my new home, I found out that the living room and 2nd floor bathroom ceilings were wet. The construction people came in and I was told that this was due to the water leak in ac unit in the attic. The drain pipe was not connected to the ac, so water was pouring out straight down to the ceiling below. No one inspected that the ac unit was running properly! Poor Workmanship

This is my first build and has not been a great experience. The painting and caulking is bad and my cabinet lower piece has a large gap. The garage door does not automatically work, I am having to manually lift it up and down. There is no sense of urgency from the construction manager to address these issues as many issues were identified before closing and i was told that these items would be addresses. Also, not to mention that they did not clean the sliding door track which has very noticeable dirt. This I was also told would be cleaned.
