Few things need to be addressed but haven’t had a cycle after two months to provide feedback. Cabinets bag walls and certain finishing points needs addressed.

When in initial order phase, there are more options and add ones which needed to be discussed . Additional lighting, recepticals, faucets, utility room finish, garage finish.

The buying experirence was superb until it came to closing. The price submitted to the county was incorrect and to be perfectly clear this was discuss with the Pulte representative before closing and she froze on this issue or opted to do nothing. Now my taxes are not incorrect. Further I overpaid money at the closing over a month ago and still have not received my refund due to overpayment. Help! I think Pulte can do better! I require your help in fixing this issues including the somewhat minor repairs conveyed to Pulte at closing.

I feel like the home was well built. Our contractor Brian was responsive to concerns and it’s designed so well. We love how our home looks and Brian went over and beyond.

Good: 1. My home was built on time as promised, 2. The quality of construction was good, 3. The construction Manager and sales team responded promptly. Bad: 1. Limited knowledge of sales reps(Please check the documentation on what you are getting for what you are paying). 2. Worst experience with their Mortgage team(The work is slow as a Sloth and no accountability nor updates as promised). 3. They won't accommodate any changes after you sign the contract, even minor ones. Once you sign, everything mentioned in the contract is set in stone.

Salesman had incorrect numbers on paperwork after deal. My wife had to correct him 3X. Made me uncomfortable

I am pleased with my newly built home, overall. Dan (construction manager) was very responsive to my questions and concerns and Devin (sales representative) was quick to inform me of any changes due to material or appliance shortages. However, there were several cosmetic issues in the finishing stage of the building process. These include paint marks and drops on walls, paint over spraying around window frames, chipped baseboards. While Dan addressed most of these prior to closing, a lot of it could have been avoided if construction crew would have been more careful when handling these. This is the 3rd (new) house I have bought from Pulte Homes. Good quality and reputation. You have a general experience and peace of mind. Knowing you can resolve any issues mostly to your satisfaction. Rushed to closing, some work lack quality (paint, trims, caulking, missing pieces due to late order or arrival, miscommunication between various parties in transition, such as external vent range hood not connected to outside due to drywall not prepared with a connection hole; exterior water bib installed right behind A/C unit at back of house, garage door not manually lockable due to mismatched bolt and slot; sharp nails can be felt under carpet on edges at upper floor, etc.). Overall a good experience

The builder did a great job keeping us informed on our home buiding experience. The customization experience over exceeded our expectations and so far the quality of the home has been exceptional. Ome drawback. After we moved into our home, it took longer than expwcted for someone to folllow back up with us on minor issues we had. I wish they would follow to more quickly. Otherwise, the experience has been great!

Home has a nice layout and the decor is great. Quality does not quite match the price.

How did you feel about the entire process, from initial purchase to final move-in? How would you describe the quality and value of your new home? Sales team was professional and post contract transitioned to Construction team. Construction team was understanding and helped understand the process in detail. Post move-in warrenty team is engaging and supportive. Customers do notice different teams during the life cycle. Would be great if a single point contact was available as this could be once a life time investment.

My experience has been fairly good. It was a different because I purchased a spec home so everthing was done when I bought it. The mudding work, cabinet installation and appliance installation all needed fixing. Some I am waiting for my 1 yr inspection to do. There is a crack starting in the ceiling that they are sending a crew to fix on Monday. The microwave trim wasn't installed right and finally they sent someone yesterday to fix it after some back and forth. The house itself is very nice in general and I am enjoying living here.

Not bad but not best quality. They do fix things as needed mostly.

We like our home. Overall good quality materials and workmanship. Issues very slow to resolve.

The overall buying experience was great. Working with Pulte Mortgage and insurance was easy. Being out-of-state made it difficult to take care of any issues prior to closing. I had two virtual walk throughs but you can’t catch hidden flaws that you normally would catch in person. Trying to get the right contact information to get things taken care after the closing has been difficult and not as responsive. My first home was a Pulte home in Texas. I’ve just purchased one in Ohio. Obviously I trust Pulte as a builder.

We were updated weekly by our site manager. We are very happy with our home

The overall build experience was positive. Dan was great to work with in terms of responsiveness, communication, and tried to be as accommodating as possible. The quality of workmanship was lacking (most likely subcontracting). Even after the pre-closing walk through, some of the fixes where not any better than the original issue(s). However, I will say that Dan will work to make things right.

I had a fairly good experience. However, when the close date moved twice, it caused all other planned transactions (movers, internet) to be pushed which was a challenge.

This was our first experience building a home and overall, we are happy with our home and believe Pulte built us a solid home. But, the devil is in the details. From the day the foundation was dug to actual closing, our estimated closing date was delayed 6 weeks. Pulte did their best to prepare us for this inevitability because of the current conditions on materials and trades, but it was still extremely frustrating. A week after they committed to a closing date, they pushed it back another 8 days which meant we had to reschedule deliveries and utilities. Throughout the build we noted a few issues, like poor quality of framing lumber (lots of warped boards, bark, splits, and just overall bad workmanship of the pre-fabricated walls. Then, our framing was rained on for a month straight with no roof, leaving all of our interior lumber discolored. Electrical and plumbing workmanship was excellent. Final finishing was a mixed bag - in general the drywall and paint were done well but there were some pretty glaring issues we were surprised to see on final walkthrough. Tile work was sloppy but by the time it was done there was no time to fix. This was the biggest disappointment for us, especially based on how much it cost to get subway tile in our main bathroom. Prices for options like upgraded hardware, lighting, ceiling fan boxes, bathrooms, etc. were generally reasonable but they add up quickly - why aren’t ceiling fans prewired in every bedroom on a home whose base cost is ~$450k? That said, the sales associate was extremely helpful in walking us through options and costs so we had no surprises when it was time to pick out specific finish colors and options. Everyone on the team that I communicated or came in contact with was very professional and responsive to questions and issues I encountered. I didn’t like the turnover rate of the financial department which led to duplication of requested paperwork and other issues which could have caused a delay in closing.

The purchase and selection process was excellent. When it came to the actual home build, my wife and I were surprised at the lack of attention to detail by most of the trades. Multiple items needed to be fixed prior to our closing date. We have been in our home for almost six weeks and there are still multiple items that have not been resolved. We are also constantly cleaning paint drips and paint smears off of our floor from when the walls and trim was painted inside the home. The amount of paint that is also on our siding from the trim being painted is creating a lot of additional work for us in a brand new home, which has been disappointing and time consuming. Pulte does a great job at selling a home, but that’s where the experience seems to end. With countless issues and no response in repair or communication, Pulte seemingly only works on the front end. Quality is not a high priority and neither is fixing quality issues. They were responsive in the selling/buying process, but once it’s sold they go MIA. We were also having a fence put in and a contractor did damage to our yard. When confronted about paying more to the defending company to fix it, the construction manager told us to find a new fencing company instead because f fixing the problem. Not impressed overall. ...
