Great experience- closed quickly and on time

I've never seen so many corners being cut to save a few bucks and increase corporate profits. e.g. Commode door is an option. Build quality is the worst I have ever seen. Cracks, nail holes, unfinished surfaces are just a few examples. Main I sues are huge gaps in windows outside. Who does this? I've dealt with Lennar as well, and I was amazed how bad Pulte quality is.

We had a great experience with Pulte. From the very beginning we felt part of the process, and enjoyed watching our home come to life. From the lot pick, to the upgrades and the design process we were walked thru with ease. Jessica in the office was there to answer questions and Dustin, the construction manager provided weekly updates . Both were very attentive to our concerns. The walk through and closing went smoothly. The final punch list was the shortest of any home we had ever built. Pulte delivered and we would definitely recommend them.

Allyson, John and Cody made this a great experience. I worked at a production home building company in the past and was already aware of the process, but Pulte surpassed my expectations. Everyone was very knowledgeable and quick to resolve issues.

The entire process was great and the home is perfect. They answered all of my questions and helped me at every stage of the process. The team I worked with Sarah, Dustin, and Brian made the whole experience easy and as stress-free as a home purchase can get.

Salesman had incorrect numbers on paperwork after deal. My wife had to correct him 3X. Made me uncomfortable

We would have never built with Pulte had we known what a poor quality home they would build for us. We basically had to be onsite every day to catch mistakes that were being made. We built a home with no basement and the plumbing was not coming out of the floor in the correct places. The main supply for water into the house was in a storage closet doorway that we had to tell them to move and also later on discovering toilets not centered. This all had to be corrected by breaking up the concrete and re-centering pipes. The electric wiring was also an issue. The pendant lights over the kitchen island were not centered and one was even not over the island. It was like pulling teeth when we finally got them to correct them. Outlets in laundry room were poorly placed for washer and dryer and ironing board, this was never corrected. The drywall work is terrible and several walls are not true. The cuts in drywall for outlets and switches were not properly cut out and the repairs to them look amateur. There was drywall plaster all over many outlets that we had to clean. Also they us paint sprayers that left overspray on all the windows that we had to cleanup. The loft in our home was not insulated in the ceiling which we caught just before closing, the garage ceiling (we paid extra for) was missed as well. We move in early December 2022 only to discover the zone heating was not wired correctly and the loft area upstairs was not heating and wouldn’t get above 60 degrees. HVAC contractor had to come out and fix. Also discovered a bathroom exhaust vent cover was used for the dryer vent that was clogging vent and barely connected which they finally repaired 5 weeks after we moved in. The brick work on the front of the house is terrible and was done by one adult and 2 minors. Pulte has yet to rectify this issue. I could go on and on with my punch list. Basically Pulte hires as many unskilled laborers as possible to do the work and it shows on the finished product. Also at closing they worked it so we did not get credit for $1200 dollars in property taxes they owe us for 2022. Read the fine print carefully. Very disappointed in Pulte Homes to say the least! ... We bought a new home with Pulte and the minute you sign, you can't get anything fixed that was promised and you have to follow-up mulitple times for any warranty issues. Would never build again with them.

Process was seamless and easy

The overall buying experience was great. Working with Pulte Mortgage and insurance was easy. Being out-of-state made it difficult to take care of any issues prior to closing. I had two virtual walk throughs but you can’t catch hidden flaws that you normally would catch in person. Trying to get the right contact information to get things taken care after the closing has been difficult and not as responsive. My first home was a Pulte home in Texas. I’ve just purchased one in Ohio. Obviously I trust Pulte as a builder.

The house itself is great for the most part. Once closing takes place, they forget about you. We've had to beg for 6 weeks to get the final grade completed. Lack of response to e-mails and texts is maddening. There is still a list of items that need done. In summary: pre-close, great (A+) - post-close, horrible (F).

We have been ignored post move-in. Do not respond for requests to complete work. Terrible organization.

Quality of the materials used are not good as well workmanship.

I am pleased with my newly built home, overall. Dan (construction manager) was very responsive to my questions and concerns and Devin (sales representative) was quick to inform me of any changes due to material or appliance shortages. However, there were several cosmetic issues in the finishing stage of the building process. These include paint marks and drops on walls, paint over spraying around window frames, chipped baseboards. While Dan addressed most of these prior to closing, a lot of it could have been avoided if construction crew would have been more careful when handling these. I would recommend and consider building with Pulte again, especially with Dan as the construction manager. ... More

Incomplete work left at the time of closing and was promised to fix right away but still not fixed. It’s been almost 3 months now, yet our garage isn’t fixed.

Salesperson, field manager and customer service afterwards were all very professional, responsive, and home was built on schedule. Easy to see the home in all building phases. Overall a painless and exciting house build!
