Pulte does an exceptional job on the front in selling the home however the experience post sell is horrible. To get things accomplished is like a second job. It's unfortunate the repairs/warranty items become a line item. Pulte attempts to hold out on repairs until homeowners give up

Was very disappointed with the quality of construction. Warranty calls for walls and ceilings to be level within a quarter inch within 4 feet and many of them are beyond that threshold. Had to modify installations of appliances at our cost due to the fact the ceilings are way off level. Many walls are also bowed , not straight within the Warrenty threshold. Way too much covering up things and hoping this customer would be satisfied. We have been greatly disappointed by a number of issues. We were pressured to close on the house with outstanding issues as we were guaranteed that they would be fixed in a timely manner. Some of the issues which remained and were discovered after represent safety issues as well. At this point, over a month after closing, many issues remain unresolved or took weeks to get fixed (with prodding from us - like HVAC piping putting us at risk of CO poisoning, a garage door screw which was broken leading to instability of the whole opening unit). Pulte creates too many homes that it cannot keep up with, thus the quality suffers. Finishings were poor such as painting was awfull, many places were missing paint entirely, choices of wood were poor as noticed during construction, final grading still is not complete after 2 months, window signs still in windows above garage, responsiveness is very slow often times months.

I've purchased and built 3 homes. This was the worst experience ever. I don't know if it is a lack of staff or expertise. The builder was nice and always well-mannered and that's the only positive thing to say. I felt that we were managing the actual build of the home because of all of the quality issues that we raised that would not have been addressed. We had to monitor every selection we made to make sure it was correct, including colors, size, shapes. We purchased numerous add ons. Have everything completed in your home before you close. Also, make sure your keys are available when you close. The quality of the house is not worth the money.

Third home we have built…wins the award for worst possible experience with the builder

Closed on the property in the winter, cannot tell you how much was not done to the home. We are relocating from a different state so I’m happy we have a solid 5 months before having to move here. Neighborhood=gorgeous. But that’s where it ends. With every issue came a slew of excuses-can’t find skilled labor, can’t get 42” cabinets (and our cabinets aren’t even WOOD), can’t do smooth ceilings, can’t finish moldings in rooms all the way around because that’s just not what we do. This is our third Pulte home and by far the worst workmanship. Work orders are not addressed in a timely manner. The trades do not protect floors, walls, etc while doing work. I have submitted several items to the portal and it takes weeks to get a response after I follow-up.

We paid alot for the home but didn't get the quality we expected. From plumbing leaks in ceiling to basement walls leaking. Some of these issues are still not fixed. The delay in these issues getting fixed is causing me a hardship in dealing with cleaning up after repeated leaks and therefore leaving this review.

Builder struggled to find contractors to do the work. Contractors either had a bad attitude or poor craft. The quality of the build is not worthy what we paid for. It is a disappointing process and end result.

Phenomenal delays and too much vendor dependent

Emotionally draining and Traumatic experience, we have to pay money and then beg for it to completed soon by given dates. Lot of issues after move in ,you can never get hold of customer service on phone . Requests to fix issues ETA of 4-5 months. Do not take keys until all things are taken care .

Any time I call for resolution of a problem or issue with Pulte, I can count on a very delayed response. Customer service is a thing of the past, and Pulte is a prime example of that lack of caring.

I've never seen so many corners being cut to save a few bucks and increase corporate profits. e.g. Commode door is an option. Build quality is the worst I have ever seen. Cracks, nail holes, unfinished surfaces are just a few examples. Main I sues are huge gaps in windows outside. Who does this? I've dealt with Lennar as well, and I was amazed how bad Pulte quality is.

I am absolutely amazed, astonished even, at how poor the quality of the subcontractors’ work was. Sloppy painting, stained carpet, broken windows, malfunctioning oven, upside down doors, etc.

All I can say is that I would never recommend Pulte to anyone ever! There is dried plaster and junk under the carpet so we step on bumps all over the floor, painting and trim work is terrible inside and out.. I can go on and on!!

We would have never built with Pulte had we known what a poor quality home they would build for us. We basically had to be onsite every day to catch mistakes that were being made. We built a home with no basement and the plumbing was not coming out of the floor in the correct places. The main supply for water into the house was in a storage closet doorway that we had to tell them to move and also later on discovering toilets not centered. This all had to be corrected by breaking up the concrete and re-centering pipes. The electric wiring was also an issue. The pendant lights over the kitchen ...
