Quality materials but suspect workmanship

Plumbing was run differently in my house compared to the model, which resulted in additional soffits and bulkheads which were not ideal. When this was first noticed corrections were not taken. I feel that the local sub contractors were told to do a job, but no one checked their finished product to make sure it met Pulte’s quality standards.

I will start by saying our Pulte sales and selection process was awesome and I would have given that 4 or 5 stars. We were well informed throughout, everything with construction stayed on track, and we were able to move in a month ahead of when we expected. I really want to love this house. By all appearances it is beautiful. But we've had problems with the "bones" of it that make us question the quality. The responsiveness to our concerns is not exactly stellar. We try to be understanding that all new homes have kinks and availability of help is a challenge. But these frustrations ...

Not thrilled with everything for the price. One coat of paint on all the walls. Giant knot holes in wood of basement steps. Carpet racks poking through carpet. Construction seems very rushed. Not what I thought was going to get for the hefty price tag.

Very happy with the layout of the house. Very disappointed that we’ve been in the house for 7 weeks and we still haven’t been graded, our patio is not in, and we have no timeline for when that will happen.

Unable to cross the finish line

The house closing was scheduled even though I was out of the country and unable to do a walk-through with the builders. Pulte was not flexible on the closing schedule. Once I returned and had the walk-through, closing, financial portion had already been completed and now finishing the punchlist on problems With the home remain on resolved after several weeks. Unable to have the Furnace people address issues that should’ve been addressed before closing. Lots of Small Quality Issues and Lack of Urgency

The house is beautiful, but overall there are a lot of quality issues like VERY uneven drywall, broken windows, & builder errors that still haven’t been fixed even a month after closing. It seems that the urgency was more on getting homes up than focusing on quality. For the price paid and no basement, I expected higher quality and more urgency.

I had/have multiple issues when i moved in. It's been more than couple of month's that i moved in and still lots of issues. Customer service is horrible. Even i could not get hold of any one while calling the emergency line.

Our home buying experience started out great but we ended up regretting our purchase. At a quick glance the homes seem well out together, we noticed issues during our final walkthrough that weren’t all completed by the time of closing. Once we moved in we have not enjoyed our home. Outside of the lack of quality workmanship on details such as paint, trim, and drywall. The home is freezing. The quality of drywall, carpentry and attention to detail are not good. Also, after my walk through numerous items were supposed to be completed. A month and a half later I’m still waiting. Not enough management to oversee contractors. Electric was only service that was great. Disappointing once they have your money.

We decided to buy our first home with Pulte because we had heard really good things. But the experience has not been good. First there were hardly any flexibility on choosing different options. There was only 1 model home but pulte was offering 5 different designs. They did not had good digital experience to help make decisions. Quality control is an issues as there was very little oversight of the contractors that did the work. We had to point out major issues that needed addressed that Pulte blatantly missed. On the positive side house designs where nice and the design team was helpful.

Materials in the house are low grade quality. Limited ability to customize, no pride in craftsmanship re: the finishing work. Poor follow up re: problems. Have to track down management to get things accomplished. Would not recommend Pulte.

I really wish I could include pictures. The craftsmanship of my home is embarrassing. Corners are not 90 degrees (I was told this happens in every Pulte home). Front door doesn’t close/latch properly. The ceiling texturing doesn’t do all the way to the wall in some areas. My floors are uneven. None of the molding on the corners are smooth and the wood trim everywhere I looks like I plastered and painted over it. Interior doors are peeling at the top and bottom. Do Not Buy a Pulte Home

I recently moved into my Pulte Townhome. For the price I paid I was VERY disappointed with the quality of the workmanship. Pulte is more concerned about putting up homes quickly rather than the quality of the home. Here are just some examples- 2 bedrooms wired wrong tripping breaker, tacks not nailed down in carpeted areas hence pricking bottom of feet when walking on, garage door broke after 2 wks Bc it was installed improperly, sloppy trim work, worst painting job I’ve ever seen where painter totally missed doors and trim and on trim painted over drywall dust and bits of dry mudding instead ...

Floor is slanted 1.75 inch lower than 4 feet away

Floor on upstairs had 10 ft long bulge of 2 inch pressing the carpet to cause people to fall over. Floor downstairs, the foundation steel beam is sagging by 1.75 inch. The electrical outlets and switches are installed slanted. Kitchen cabinet is broken and still installed to the wall. The drawer knobs and pulls are not the choices I made on change order which the Pulte charged money. There were rebar sticking out of basement.
