The building process was easy to follow and we were kept well informed of the process by our construction manager. We had access to observe the build anytime we wanted to visit the site and were permitted to bring up our concerns to the CM. These concerns were always addressed promptly and fairly by the CM. Overall it made a usually stressful process very seamless and efficient.

We built our new home with Pulte and couldn't be happier with the process and outcome. Everything worked really well. Construction managers provided weekly updates through the process and issues that arose or we continue to point out are being addressed and followed up very quickly. Very nice job and great experience so far!

Quality is OK, some of their contractors had quality issues, as in porch patio cracks. when I went to cook in the oven on the new Whirlpool appliance, it would not shut off. Called Whirlpool, and it just got fixed a week ago, I would have thought it would have been operated, and time set, etc. It had a bad touchpad and control module. I did not contact Pulte.

Linda, our Sales Person, was always helpful in answering our questions and showing us the information that we requested. Jeremy, our builder liaison, throughout the finishing process has shown professionalism and the willingness and follow-up to complete items that were requested..

Building a new house is very stressful, but luckily i got help from a great project manager, George. He is awsome.

Everyone I worked with was nice and helpful for the most part. The craftsmanship is sub par. The cabinets and counters are well done. Painting job was sloppy and I removed paint splatter from many places on my new flooring. I have found several cracks and chips in things that I’ve submitted requests for but still am waiting to hear back about a plan of action. I can appreciate the speed at which the home was built but it was definitely at the cost of quality attention to detail

scratched windows holes in walls missed paint Really Really bad drywall.

Floor on upstairs had 10 ft long bulge of 2 inch pressing the carpet to cause people to fall over. Floor downstairs, the foundation steel beam is sagging by 1.75 inch. The electrical outlets and switches are installed slanted. Kitchen cabinet is broken and still installed to the wall. The drawer knobs and pulls are not the choices I made on change order which the Pulte charged money. There were rebar sticking out of basement. Basement electrical wiring is exposed and they installed drywall on top of natural gas pipes and squeezed it. Kitchen countertop has 1/4 inch gap between cabinet. The bathroom sinks under mount is not caulked 1/6 inch gap on 6 sinks. Outside second story windows has paint marks and too steep to clean so they didn't clean them. The orange conduit lets rain drip into the electrical panel inside where there is an outlet facing upward at the conduit from outside. Pulte denied responsibility even though they installed it. Internet panel is crooked not installed straight. The pre wired ceiling fan, Pulte put a cheap chandelier which prevented installing a ceiling fan. Garage had crack outside the garage door envelopment. Front door trim came apart. Weather stripping failed on new construction. Windows are installed straight but not light switches. A Door is missing a door stopper. Tiles are not sealed so home owner have to seal them before using the shower after moving in we had to wait three days for shower tile grout sealers to cure and have to be reapplied every month. ... Pulte Mortgage lied and stole thousands of dollars. The house, itself, is okay, but don't use Pulte Mortgage.

We love Pulte Home, especially the Mercer floor plan! The master bedroom was incredible extra big area. The layout of each room and the set up was nice and big

Brandon, Ed and George were all great to work with.

We knew going in that the area we desired had higher housing costs, so the value is skewed. When adjusting for this, the value is there! From the first day, the folks from Pulte Port West were great. They expeditiously addressed any and all questions. From sales to the exterior build to the interior work and finishing, Tom, Rob, and Kayla were outstanding! We did have a few issues, but as noted, they were addressed to our satisfaction. We cannot of course speak for others, but with the cost of homes everywhere and the potential need for renovations at a high cost, building new became the primary avenue for us. 1) Quality of material used is not good in some places 2) Front patio has damage and patched with different color cement 3) There is small hole near to front door did not fixed 4) Asked to fix Front door color, George messed up and painted different color all together and still see some sport of old color 5) Kitchen cabinets are not installed properly, still see some gap which looks like it is broken 6) On Stair case railing I showed damage, Initially I was told will fix it, now he is saying we can not fix it, this is very worst 7. Master bathroom Towel handler is not installed, called multiple times he is not picking my calls at all, even not responding to messages 8. There is a hole in on OSB in garage, I asked to remove that OSB and add new one during construction, but that is not fixed, while closing they simply added stud piece and said that's all we can do, I did not feel like buying new home, I felt like used home with patches 9) Garage stair case railing used scrap wood not even used good wood. 10. I asked for Paint samples, that also not given till now 11) Still there are holes in soil and keeps getting synced, not taken care properly If I write up list keeps adding, before closing issue identified Gerorge and Ed tired to fix issue, but they are not permanent issues and temp fixes, which felt me bad about my experience with Pulte, I heard lot about this company but it was very bad experience I had. If you're looking for a builder with little options and sub par attention to detail, then I would suggest you consider building with Pulte. We did our 2 hour walk through and upon closing less than 5 days later none of the punch list items were complete. We were then forced into closing even though the walk through items were not complete as they notify you 2 weeks prior to closing and most people are in the process of closing their past home. The craftsmanship of the interior items specifically the woodwork was outright horrible for a $900K house. There are chips in our ceramic tile, unpainted trim, unfilled/unfinished trim and quarter round molding, flooring that is buckling, and cheap wood that was installed with knots and dents in it. We have been in our home for two months and we are still waiting for these items to be fixed along with the painters to finish painting and sanding items that were sprayed while dust was floating around in the air prior to us closing. Also, if you pay for soft close cabinets, that allegedly does not include the butlers pantry even though that is not stated in the contract and you pay additional for this room feature. ... More

The locks are not the best quality. They get stuck at times. Microwave door handle is defective. Overall it’s a good home and local Pulte staff were very good and helpful with issues as we moved through the building process. With a new build I’d recommend using a home inspector. Our inspection revealed several issues which were corrected prior to closing. (Wiring was hooked up incorrectly, hot water tank needed minor adjustments etc). After the inspection all things were corrected.

This is first home for us like many other, The pulte team at columbia Station OH is excellent and customer driven.

So far the neighborhood is great. Steve in the office is awesome. Workmanship on home could be better if they just did things right the 1st time. Most issues we have had have been fixed in a timely manner

We were in love with the model and bought the floor plan. We still think the floor plan is great. The issue we experienced is that our move in was delayed because the basement flooded right before we were supposed to close. Then it was repaired and flooded again within a month of moving in. When the house flooded the first time, it appears that all Pulte did was repair the interior damage but not actually repair the issues that led to the flood. When it flooded the second time, we heard from both the customer care agent and the site manager that the flooding was an act of god and that there wasn’t anything wrong with the lot grading. Then it failed the city’s inspection three times! Repeated flooding in a short amount of time is not an act of god, it’s either poor construction or a lot that isn’t graded properly. While we are happy that Pulte finally took care of it, it was very frustrating that we had to call the customer agent daily for updates and we finally had to bring in the construction manager’s boss to get the lot issue taken care of. After talking to our neighbors who have had issues with getting repairs done, it feels like Pulte sells you on a warranty that they are then not too quick to adhere to. The other reason for our lower ratings are that some of the materials and workmanship are not the best quality. The paint they use is awful, flat, cheap paint that smudges when anything touches it. We keep seeing drywall imperfections that we didn’t notice before we moved in. And we have a ton of windows with scratches on the glass that we are still waiting to be repaired. We still love the layout and the way this home fits our family’s needs, but we would not build with Pulte again. ... More

Finished product is liveable, but not what we expected for the price. Selections were VERY limited. Communication with the construction crew was limited and at times nonresponsive. Post-closing communication has been much better - seems like the builder is very anxious to deliver what was promised.

Quality of the material and build is way below expectation of a new quality home. If I can rate minus star I would’ve given a minor star. This doesn’t look like a half $1 million plus house this look like a below average amateur built the house. I will never recommend anyone to buy home in Pulte. One of the third-party vendor they have Guardian they are just ripping the customers off and their customer service is horrible. They installed my speakers and connections in a faulty way when they install my nest doorbell. They burned out the doorbell itself. It’s been a month. They still haven’t fixed it. I can keep going on and on and on, but the quality is just not acceptable ... More

Walls are very delicate. My Kitchen Grantee joints already started gaps.

Experience at first was a good but a lot of the selling point during our walkthrough was not true after house was built.

The entire process was seamless. Brandon was an exceptional representative of Pulte and very knowledgeable. Ed and George provided frequent updates and were extremely attentive to my questions and concerns along the way. They offered solutions and provided professional guidance, even after closing. Great job by all!

Overall great experience from Ed, our sales rep (as well as July in Aurora who didn't get the sale but helped direct us to the right home and neighborhood), Jeremy, our construction manager, Allyson at the design center and others.. Everything was finished on time (actually a few days early to meet closing on our new home) and work was as expected.
