We recently moved into our new home, and the experience has been very good. Brandon and Ed were both extremely responsive and regularly went above and beyond our expectations. This could have easily been an opaque build process, but Ed kept us up to date on everything that was happening and quickly resolved any concerns to our satisfaction. Brandon was also a pleasure to work with and stayed involved to answer any questions long after we signed our purchase contract. I still can’t believe how quickly it all came together and we’re so excited to enjoy our beautiful new home.

Overall, it’s a good experience.

The house is great and love the floor plan

Had built a new home many years ago with another builder, so this was a second-time-around experience for us. The process can be an emotional roller coaster, especially depending on the builder’s response to any questions or concerns. But working with Diane (Sales Agent) and Dustin (Construction Manager) was easy and enjoyable. All questions were taken seriously, responded to quickly, and resolved ASAP. We are especially appreciative of Dustin in managing our build and his oversight of the quality of construction. He truly was a joy to work with. The number of problems that we have had in our home have been too many to count. Not only do we have some rather large problems, such as cabinets being gouged, doorbell never working, gas leaking from fireplace, etc, but getting these issues fixed seems to be nearly impossible.

The overall experience was great. When meeting with the seller we were given an estimate that was $500 lower than the actual payment, but I guess that’s why it’s an estimate. Just thought it would be closer. Other than that the seller was a great person to work with and made the process easy and enjoyable. The project manager was Ed. If you build Pulte in Columbia Station make sure you get Ed and Chuck as your warranty specialist. Those two guys are great. Ed made sure everything was perfect throughout the building process, and was in constant communication with us. Made a couple tweaks for us mid project that we are very thankful for. Chuck is the warranty specialist. Our garbage disposal broke the first time we used it. A contractor had dropped something in their which made it break when we turned it on. Chuck was on top of it and had someone at our house the next morning. 8 days later our garage door broke. Chuck came over and got it closed for us, and again it was repaired the very next morning. Pulte Mortgage is terrible. I dear with 3 loan people and they all stunk. The underwriter, Connor, was great and the only reason we stayed with Pulte Mortgage. The supervisor, Ari, was great because he understood our frustrations and did everything in his power to make it right. Pulte Mortgage loan officers quit often apparently because we had 3 of them in 2 months. The closers were all rude, unprofessional, and obviously didn’t care about working at Pulte Mortgage. Ironically, after speaking with neighbors, they had similar awful experiences with Pulte Mortgage. We love our new home. We love the quality , design, and neighbors. My wife and I are very pleased with the support of all aspects of Pulte. From the planning process before the build, the consultation with the home decorator, and the regular updates along the build process from the Construction Manager. Everyone took an intimidating process and made it exciting and fun!

The house closing was scheduled even though I was out of the country and unable to do a walk-through with the builders. Pulte was not flexible on the closing schedule. Once I returned and had the walk-through, closing, financial portion had already been completed and now finishing the punchlist on problems With the home remain on resolved after several weeks. Unable to have the Furnace people address issues that should’ve been addressed before closing. Difficulty just having a lightbulb put in the garage door opener, it is unfortunate at these smaller items remain unresolved. I’m hoping that we can resolve these issues to a mutual satisfaction ... Pulte homes are beautiful and quality, the construction manager takes his time to explain everything to your understanding, he’s a good listener, above all pulte homes are the best.

As far as an overall experience, the actual purchase part before the build was problematic. We were sold a spec house that we could customize which we did however, after all the selections were made, etc, and submitted, weeks later we were required to select a different elevation due to limitations within our selections. We were basically forced to select a different elevation that was not our first, or second choice however, still nice. This pushed out our close date even further than the initial close pushing us into the new school year which was not desirable. The build process was very good. We worked with our building managers who realized our need to expedite the build as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. Fast forward to the close and living in the home, the quality of materials and workmanship is not quite what I would have expected from a home in this price range. Doors are quite thin, cement work is questionable. The fit of the windows, specifically with the screens is very poor on every window. The screens are so ill fitting, they leave gaps open to the outside allowing insects to enter. The finish of any painted wood is very rough as if it was spray painted without being sanded at all. Door hinges were loose in some situations. As I stated, working with the building managers, Tom and Rob was great. With the initial sale, planning, materials that were used and general workmanship and quality, especially with the cost of our home one would have expected the better quality. ... More

Rob and Garrett are two people that each buyer in our development work with once the building process starts. These two guys are the right people for the job. They went above and beyond! They exceeded our expectation and followed through on everything that was discussed.

The people that work for Pulte made for a great experience

Dustin, Diane , and Allyson were always on top of issues, they replied to concerns in a timely manner, and they work well as a team. When you build you will always have issues come up. They did a fantastic job of fixing them. They are each experts in their field and do a wonderful job helping you figure out options for your home.

Diane made me feel welcome and so comfortable as I never built a new home before. Her expertise and personal attention made the entire process exciting and comfortable. Dustin was also exceptional in keeping me informed of my building stages and what to expect and told me to come to my new build as often as I wanted. He quickly responded to my questions via email and was so thorough and pleasant on my few walk-throughs.

Diane (sales) and Dustin (Construction Manager) are very helpful. They responded very quickly to our questions and concerns. They kept us well informed during the construction process. Pulte was able to hit all the dates, including the closing date.

When working with Diane and Dustin, I felt confident that my questions and needs were met quickly and honestly through the entire process. From the initial sale process to building process - everything was excellent.

I really wish I could include pictures. The craftsmanship of my home is embarrassing. Corners are not 90 degrees (I was told this happens in every Pulte home). Front door doesn’t close/latch properly. The ceiling texturing doesn’t do all the way to the wall in some areas. My floors are uneven. None of the molding on the corners are smooth and the wood trim everywhere I looks like I plastered and painted over it. Interior doors are peeling at the top and bottom. So many fixtures are crooked. There is paint all over the floors. Carpets peel up at the corners (I was told this happens in ever Pulte home). My back door is not sealed properly and I can see light coming in therefore cold air and warm are will get in as well. So much caulking is messed up. My curtains move when the windows are closed due to a draft. Three issues I made tickets for have yet to be addressed (master bath temp/pressure, ac issue, and flooring). I don’t have the time to schedule everything. I expected more from Pulte. I had a really positive experience working with Allison on design. Please tell your buyers the slope of the lost when they select a lot. Had I known our backyard would be sloped like this I would have selected another lot. ... More

Buying our dream home was supposed to be a joyful journey, but it turned into a stressful rollercoaster ride. Our experience, riddled with ups and downs, left us feeling both disappointed and hopeful. From the outset, our initial excitement was dampened by a less-than-ideal interaction with our salesperson. Their lack of transparency and communication left us feeling like we were in the dark throughout the process. It was a stark contrast to our expectations, and we found ourselves questioning our decision. In fact we would question his character as many things he said turned out to be false. However, amidst the turmoil, a ray of hope emerged in the form of our construction managers. Their dedication and professionalism shone brightly, helping to alleviate some of our concerns. Their attention to detail and willingness to address our concerns gave us a glimmer of hope that our dream home might yet be realized. We find ourselves hoping for the best. I would never recommend building a home with Pulte to anyone. We have been in our new home for about 3 weeks and the entire experience start to finish was miserable. The sales guy, Tom H, has no customer service skills and once our deposit check cleared, he basically told us we weren’t a priority and that we were at the mercy of Pulte given we signed the Purchase Agreement. The quality of our very expensive home is terrible. For example, it’s not even an optional upgrade to add vanity light fixtures in your bathrooms…despite having these in the model home—what a sham! There is evidence of cutting corners and poor workmanship throughout our home—chipping/peeling paint, popped drywall nails throughout, gaps between the flooring material and the baseboards, and we discover new problems almost everyday. When we reported some issues prior to closing, we were told that everything was “construction grade” and acceptable to Pulte. Pulte rushed the closing despite the house being unfinished, demanded the glass contractor hang glass that didn’t fit, and now we are paying the price. My baby and toddler step on exposed carpet nails constantly. We have submitted multiple service requests post-closing and there has been no response! Our yard is a rocky mud pit but we have been told it will be months before they finish our final grade. Meanwhile, the Quick Move-in homes’ yards are a priority, graded and landscaped promptly. Robb and Garrett were very responsive and very helpful. We would recommend both of them. Corey was misleading and frustrating. We would not recommend Corey. Overall we are happy with the purchase. We still have open items after our purchase.

We moved in from day one we had issues with the plumbing

Allow me to begin by saying that the project managers here have both attempted to rectify the issues I have been experiencing. They have been amiable and tried to be on top of most things that have gone wrong. However, when one can hear water continually pouring and into the front sump pump and be kept awake all night by the pump flushing out three times every five minutes, there is an issue. Initially, I wrote as well as spoke with both the project manager and my salesman about the sound and was pacified with the explanation that it was a very wet, spring and summer. However, it has been dry for weeks now, and it is apparent the issue is much greater. I have had architects and engineers in here, and I even called my own plumber. A remedy, for this is more than merely replacing what I now know from other plumber to be a ver low quality concrete sump pump. Would that remedy the situation I would have gladly paid for two new sump pumps, but the professionals in architecture and engineering have told me this will not be the case, I am not exaggerating when I state that the sound from the flushing of my front sump pump can be heard by neighbors across the street and three doors away. I have not slept a full night since I moved into this house due to the sound of continuous flushing in the front sump pump as well as the every couple hours when the flushing in the back of the house, sump pump, rattles my bedroom. I am distressed as this was not my first choice of lots, but rather the one my salesman strongly suggested I take. (I might also add that I was among the first five individuals to purchase in this development, so I did have my choice of lots) I’m beginning to feel as if I should put a sign in my front yard. “Let the buyer beware! If you are considering purchasing here come sit on my steps or in the bedroom and listen to this noise. Likewise look at the sinkhole that, though it has been filled, is again sinking.” If one’s bedrooms are all affected by the noise of the sump pumps, and the inhabitants of said bedrooms cannot sleep, can this really be considered inhabitable? I would appreciate it if somebody from Pulte with step up and do whatever is necessary to rectify this issue. I am in the Lyon plan and I have paid for a great many upgrades. I like the house, but do I think it’s perfect? No! Point they are many things that are not exactly up to snuff, particularly the finish work. Nonetheless, I can look beyond that, but I can’t look beyond this drainage issue. Please have the courtesy to contact me. Home ready when promised. Initial problems handled quickly.

Overall our experience with pulte was great. Allyson at the design center was very helpful with what upgrades were worth the money and also helping us pick out everything to match. Tom and Rob are ranked high in the country and built us a solid house. We love the floor plan and the design and when we do have to submit a work request claim someone is always out within a couple days to address issues.
