Our initial overall experience has been positive. We have only been in the home a little over one month and have been happy with our home. My rating may change once we have settled in, but as of now, I would recommend Pulte.

As a first time home buyer my experience with Pulte homes was great they made things very simple from getting Insurance to getting Mortgage. Interest rates offered by Pulte Mortgage was incomparable with any of other builders out there in market during this tough times.

Overall Tyler took care of us and fixed each issue. However the lack of attention to the little details, by the contractors, was annoying. I had to point out multiple small issue. Ex: Thermostat installed crooked. Light at bottom of stairs was installed partially into the stairwell. Floor vent hole cut crooked. Etc, etc…

Overall the home was build within the defined timeline… there were delays here and there but those were minors so I am overall happy with the schedule…. Couple of options were changes during the process due to logistics issues but that’s not specific and in control to Pulte I guess… And once you commit to your options nothing can be altered thereafter… Good quality home and team on the ground is responsive but can’t say the same for there call center though…

The overall experience was good. We were able to monitor the process frequently and were provided information and updates about the status from the construction manager. The closing date was 3-4 weeks later than the estimated, however. The condition of the house is good and any issues are being dealt by the builder

The Pulte people were fantastic. This is the 4th home that I have built over my lifetime of 64 years, and this may have been my best experience up front. Compared to my other homes though, the workmanship has been more problematic, but the issues are really only slight things. I hesitate to say anything, because of the smallness, but this is the highest cost and nicest home compared to my others, but came with more problems. I am speaking of things like electrical outlets not working and heating vents that do not operate, and lots of paint left on the floors. I wonder why they didn't test when installed and cleaned up better, but I chalk it up to too few people to maintain standards (shortage of workers). I can understand that, so I would say that I am content. The landscaping is not well at all, so I wish that I would have had a contact for help or discussion. Still overall, the people and their efforts on my behalf greatly outweigh the negative stuff, and I am very pleased. ... More

Overall experience is good, but could have been better if they would have fixed few things they marked during pre-walking and promised to fix them before closing..

Pulte associates were all great to work with at each step of the buying & building process.

Our build went pretty smoothly, although there were shortages of crews at times. Fortunately everything went smoothly in the first months, because there were delays near the end. Pulte crews are very fast and mostly did good work. It's important to keep an eye on quality near the end when everyone is in a hurry to finish... You need to be your own advocate. I would have given 5 stars, but the work done after close was frustrating, it took 2 months for the landscape work to wrap up. Our original field manager was not very responsive in this period, a new one took over and resolved our issues. Overall it was a good experience in a challenging year. Our move in date was about 6 weeks longer than initially communicated but with supply chain issues caused by Covid I know this is not unique to Pulte. During the build process, any concern that I raised was addressed by the field manager and communication was good. We moved in with a few incomplete items which we agreed to as we needed to be out of the house we sold. I would not recommend this to others if you can avoid it as it has been slow going getting to full completion and we are not there yet. The concrete sub contractor has been very slow to respond to any rework, once during the build, and now after move in for omission of tile under poured sidewalk which I ended up resolving on my own. It does not appear to me that Pulte has much leverage with the concrete sub but then as a customer, I certainly have no view of the big picture relative to work load. In general, all the subs did good work and a couple of them were amazingly efficient; roofing, drywall, electrical to call out the best. Our warranty manager has been good as we work through what I would consider a modest list but I can’t give final approval as we are currently about half way through the list. There have been a few inconveniences with have a rent-a-John in front of our house, landscaping crew running over water meter and Delco having to come out to mend the issues.

We love our new home and we have had quick responses for things that needed addressed.

I did not rate Pulte 5 stars for quality of workmanship and value for the price paid. While I understand I did not purchase the highest upgrade, I somehow believe from past buying experiences with another builder, that Pulte could still have done better for the price paid. As a big construction company with strong buying power, Pulte could have done better in terms of quality of carpet installed, the stove which is still a burner instead of flat top, and the lack of over-the-stove microwave, all of which are already reasonably priced these days. Medicine cabinets should have been installed in the two full bathrooms instead of just flat mirrors as a space saving strategy. As this unit I bought is already designed for a certain model, I should have been offered the chance to have a refrigerator and a washer/dryer installed at the time of buying so that those are already in the unit at time of closing. Of course, for an extra price for those appliances. This would have saved time on my end upon move-in. The employees are why I gave 5 stars for trustworthiness and responsive to issues. Just had a couple of calls made to get someone to come and worked on a couple of issues, but still in due time. Will I buy again from Pulte? Yes, overall, but I hope to see truly better value for the price paid even if I don't have to go for the highest upgrade. ... More

Our home in many respects is a prototype as it is the first one in a new communitee. Local building code issue, design centers lack of complete details on the project and other small details that need to be addressed will answer the questions related to our overall experience. The above "Star" ratings should NOT be considered a final rating, only a rating on the process. We have every expectation that the final rating will be a FIVE plus. All the members of the Pulte Group have shown us that they care about their product and have gone out of their way to make us feel confident that we will enjoy our new home. ... More

Nice job, disappointed with the delay in the sods installation

We love the design and location of our home! It is perfectly situated and has everything that we need close by. We've had to work with Customer Service on a weekly basis to get issues that were either constructed poorly or not working resolved. We still have on-going issues 2 months after moving in, but Pulte's Chris S. has been very attentive. That said, it's required at least one of us to be home to oversee and communicate this work for 7-9 days Monday-Friday. Some of the issues we've faced include: window reinstall (they originally placed the wrong one), wet drywall removal (wet surfaces appeared and never resolved), air conditioning outdoor coil needed cleaned from construction mud and dirt; air conditioning bypass replacement; new front door (crack in window seal--still not completed), deck trex replacement (still not completed), and re-mudded corner in our bump out (corner was framed further than wall, which they can't fix now except to make it less obvious), and high humidity in the home. Too bureaucratic and some shoddy craftsmanship.

Overall, we love our new home! However, the process of getting there was stressful one. There were four different construction managers assigned to our neighborhood throughout our build process. Karl transitioned out partway through, but he was great while he was here! Ken is very friendly to work with, but wasn’t great about responding to communication or getting much real work done. Liam seemed competent although not particularly friendly. We felt a bit rushed at our final walk-through. We gave the team over a week to get some final punch items complete, and the night before closing nothing had even been started. Our sales manager, Chris was very responsive and helped us keep the construction managers accountable. However, we were frustrated by some of the information we were told at contract signing that changed along the way. We always expected the timeline would be delayed from what we were quoted, but we did not expect it to take a full 40% longer than anticipated. If you look closely, there are quite a few uneven things in the home. But if you look past that, it’s a beautiful home, and we’re excited to be here. ... More

Closed on house on time which I appreciate but there are a few key construction issues that were missing before and after closing that I wished they were addressed without me needing to find them and ask for them to be addressed and wait for response and follow up on fix

Good deal for the overall homeowner in terms of plot to build construction experience. Not great in terms of pressing communication channels, we had a tough time getting mortgage setup and that was a very stressful and bad experience as we were constantly being asked zillions of unnecessary paperwork which wasn’t really needed to prove intention of mortgage purchase. But overall credits were given towards closing which was much appreciated.
