Little Disappointing Experience with overall build journey.

Each time I reached out with concerns or issues, pulte customer service team was prompt in their response. They acknowledged my emails and calls quickly, which I appreciated. There were noticeable imperfections with the finishing touches, such as paint splatters on fixtures and inconsistent grout lines in the tiling, which detracted from the overall aesthetics of the home. Some of the materials used seem to be of lower quality than what was promised. Construction Manager Tim has been proactive in addressing and resolving the issues I've raised.

The closing felt rushed a bit

Overall the experience was good. The end and closing was not ideal. We have several outstanding issues that still need addressed. The craftmanship of work is just ok. Mostly minor things, but when you build a brand new home, you should expect perfection. Most things are being made right, but to have this happen at the end, it less than ideal. We do love our home and are getting settled in, we just wish these things were attended to better.

We had a great construction manager…at the end of the build. The first one we had was not do great. We did not feel he was aware of what was going on during construction, rarely emailed updates and when we did get them we got one sentence. After he left and we were assigned someone who actually cared about the process, things looked much better but we were at the end when this happened. Nate is top notch as a construction manager. Pulte is lucky to have him

Both Dale and Dylan Pulte’s Superintendents were great. Quality of work for the price was average or below. Had a house built previously for $100,000 more, and quality was 1,000% better.

It was tough to get a final move in close date. We were given 3 different dates that cost us 3K in rentals. Because we rushed the final close date (we found out at 3 PM that were were closing the next day), the house was not cleaned. There was paint on the floor, lots of drywall dings, and other issues we didn't think we'd have with a brand new home. We didn't get any followup until we pressured our main builder contact. Was cleaned up after two months of being in the house. The air in the loft is still not working, we have one drawer and blind that is unusable in the kitchen.

Pulte after closing care lacks

Closing date was moved two different occasions. July 21 to August 28 and then to September 28. Issues that were brought to light weeks before closing have still not been addressed or resolved. Customer care only sends emails, no phone correspondence.

Working with the Field Manager was great. I think the quality of workmanship is not so great. I feel the home was completed as quickly as possible. They did not take the time to do the trim work. Nail holes are sticking out or rough. Had to seal my own grout behind the stove and master shower. We were told they use good insulation, but the home has a chill to it. Overall we love the home and the layout is great.

We had a great experience. However, there are a lot of finishes overlooked or rushed. We haven’t been in the house 2 months and we already have along list of issues. There needs to be a person who only works with new home owners for the first few month after close. After close, the project lead is done and customer care isn’t super responsive.

You can definitely tell there is a labor shortage, as some of the work completed on our home could have been done better by us. We closed with some issues identified and documented for resolution, and over a month later, they are not resolved. With some of the materials and craftsmanship, we just can’t believe that’s what you get for the price paid.

This home building experience has been the least enjoyable of the last 3 I have been through. Quality control and workmanship were horrible and 6+ weeks later, I’m still dealing with all of the issues upon move in. I had to have a meeting with the Customer Care Specialist yesterday to go through the laundry list of punch list items yet to be addressed. This takes time out of my busy work schedule. Overall the process was relatively smooth. The buying process, and closing went smoothly. The close date pushed quite a few times and there was a miscommunication on when the house would actually be ready. It was advertised as being completed in July, and a week after I signed the date pushed to end of August. We didn’t end up closing until September which ended up costing me quite a bit extra in fees. From what I was able to observe during construction, I would say that the home seems solidly built. However, the finish work leaves something to be desired. This could be due to the skill level and level of pride-of-workmanship of the subs used at our particular location. Some fixtures and materials could have been of a better quality. Also, there has been some damage to siding and concrete by subcontractors doing their work. The loan processors Abiel and Conor were horrible! They never responded to emails nor pick up calls. They made it sound like, we wouldnt be able to get a loan. They only started being nice after l contacted another loan company. This was the most stressful moment of the whole process!
