I went with Pulte for everything - from the new home, to the mortgage, to my home owners’ insurance. It was a simple, seamless experience! I couldn’t be happier. Now..if only they would help me unpack my boxes! ;-)

Construction process was good up until closing. Day of closing there were still workers in the home. Landscaping had not begun. The walk prior to closing had the home still waiting to be cleaned. The closing with Pulte Mortgage went well. Came back to house to find workers had left trash and some items were incomplete. Landscaping was not completed until almost 60 days after closing. Field Manager was unwilling to address items from the 30 day list due to our schedules not lining up during the summer. He said that policy was the reason. I reminded him of the fact the home wasn't complete at closing and we waited on landscaping for two months. He decided that coming in and trying to restore the goodwill of the last 60 days was secondary to just shrugging his shoulders. If I had sold a customer a $500K house, I would make sure they were satisfied and willing to pass along the story to anyone who asked. Now when asked, I have to tell a potential homeowner to make sure they watch out to make sure everything is complete because you might come up short. Our street address with the county auditor is still not correct 7 weeks after we moved in. We have issues with our mail and any other deliveries because of this issue. Please work to get this updated.

I did not rate Pulte 5 stars for quality of workmanship and value for the price paid. While I understand I did not purchase the highest upgrade, I somehow believe from past buying experiences with another builder, that Pulte could still have done better for the price paid. As a big construction company with strong buying power, Pulte could have done better in terms of quality of carpet installed, the stove which is still a burner instead of flat top, and the lack of over-the-stove microwave, all of which are already reasonably priced these days. Medicine cabinets should have been installed in the two full bathrooms instead of just flat mirrors as a space saving strategy. As this unit I bought is already designed for a certain model, I should have been offered the chance to have a refrigerator and a washer/dryer installed at the time of buying so that those are already in the unit at time of closing. Of course, for an extra price for those appliances. This would have saved time on my end upon move-in. The employees are why I gave 5 stars for trustworthiness and responsive to issues. Just had a couple of calls made to get someone to come and worked on a couple of issues, but still in due time. Will I buy again from Pulte? Yes, overall, but I hope to see truly better value for the price paid even if I don't have to go for the highest upgrade. ... More

Could I have saved some money and had better materials if I purchased an older home and remodeled it? Yes. Did I want to live through that year long experience with 2 small kids? Absolutely not. You are overpaying for some of the convenience with any of the large builders and they need to make a profit with the materials - just know that going into the experience. Everyone at Pulte was responsive and great to work with during the entire process.

Seeing little stuff that needs to be fixed

My Brother and I bought this beautiful home together. We thought out the house plans and options together and decided to build our dream home.

For the most part the build process went smooth. As with any build there were hiccups that were addressed in a timely manner. As of 07/01/2019 the build quality and craftsmanship still exceed most home builders in the Columbus market.

Contractors were sloppy in finished work and Pulte doesn’t have an efficient means of checks and balances in place ensuring quality workmanship. It’s very disappointing given the money paid.

Pulte built a beautiful home. We are overall happy with our purchase. There have been some issues in first month of move in, but so far pulte has tried to take care of issues in a timely manor. We looked at many homes and builders during our home finder process and overall pulte was the best quality for money with large lot size. Would recommend.

1. Sales person have NO sales experience and ZERO Knowledge home sales or options. 2. Sales person is very arrogant, NOT trustworthy, fabulist, her ultimate goal is MAKE MONEY in sales NOT providing accurate information. Lot of options were missed during the final selection process. This is very evident including- Pulte staff agrees with these comments. 3. Even though I had a realtor, in the final sales documents sales person did not include the realtor. 4. The Options were selected based on Model, but blu prints were developed completely different. ALL SURPRISES. 5. Does not provide option list for a selected home. Need to make separate trip for every question. 6. Sales person Sends threatening emails, this is unacceptable. 7. The first meeting with Field Manager, sales person ask for signing paper work from customer, then you add the text. Basically it a forgery. 8. The Model home and the blue prints are different, sales person or field manager cannot able to support to have chandelier as per the Model. 9. The substandard material - like lumber, windows, doors, baseboards, cabinets, appliances and several more. 10. The paint is a Joke, when you rub the wall, one can see the drywall. 11. Workmanship- the windows are crooked. Lots of squeaky floors, basement was flooded for several days, the floor is discolored. Adjacent Model Model next to my home is an example, due to that reason the basement is getting painted in grey. The entry had lot of scratches during the building process, the field manager should fix them. 13. Cutting the corners every aspect, did not clean and power wash the basement. 14. Bathrooms spout were broken. 15. The Whirlpool microwave and oven stopped functioning on the Day one after move in. 16. Cabinets upgrade -2 option material quality is worst. 17. Major flaw in master bedroom wall. Needs major repair.

The mortgage and title process experience were great. I was able to get answers to questions in a timely matter. That is not true with customer service with their responsiveness to issues. Every call went to voicemail. I did not get call backs or in a timely manner. You will have some things like not having the air conditioning turned on, or the heat which is frustrating. It took 3 weeks after I moved in to get a trash can. This was the responsibility of the hoa and their hired management company. What were the homeowner of the condo to do in the interim? The move-in experience needs to be better handled. I received no welcome from the HOA and no way to get help when I truly needed it. ... More

We are generally satisfied. But Pulte as a company has communication issues with customers and within the organization as a whole. It is an absolute necessity for a new home buyer to stay on top of the entire home building process as much as possible and document everything (Special Requests, Exceptions, NSO's, etc.). The actual subdivision supervisors (Wayne, Scott, & Alex) and the sales representative (Chris) were outstanding and all deserve 5 stars.

We need some repairs NOW and very poor quality compared to Pulte in Arizona

Our home in many respects is a prototype as it is the first one in a new communitee. Local building code issue, design centers lack of complete details on the project and other small details that need to be addressed will answer the questions related to our overall experience. Quality of Home is not as good as like some Home Builder in Dublin and Columbus area,like MI Homes & Rock ford Homes.One thing I would like to Mention that Super wiser Mr.Dale helped us lot address our concern and if we have some questions.He addresses them promptly.Good Luck Dale and stay Blessed

Frequent communication is highly advised and is very well received. Clarification and insight on progress is done face to face. It is important to get as much as possible clarity upfront and stay in-touch with the Pulte team. We experienced professional partnerships and made friends during the process. Be patient and allow the process to play itself out in a qualitative manner.

Work very closely with all the pulte employees, don't be afraid to ask questions. They will help you and guide you through the whole process and put your mind at ease.

Overall we were pleased with our new home.

Pulte Builders and the entire team are professionals at what they do. Each team member from the Sales team to the onsite leads are attentive, and care about customer satisfaction. They are open and reactive to questions, and once in our home we were proud of the home and all its workmanship and quality products that Pulte stands behind.

I really like the home but the communication from the field team completely stopped at closing. Driveway and yard are still a work in progress due to weather but I only know something is going to happen when someone shows up knocking at the door. A heads up seems like it should be in order ‘hey, don’t drive on the concrete for x days’ versus it just being poured, roped off, and no discussion.
