I rate my new home buying and built experience with pulte as 3.2/5.0

We bought a home built by pulte at the end of last year. And we’ve had a lot of problems since then. The major ones include broken subfloor, broken windows, and the in appropriate dimensioning on the windows (I.e. tapered windows) and Green Mold buildup in the basement. Warranty has been working on most of the issues but when we brought up the issue of mold they won’t repair it. It has been just three months for us living in this house and there is green mold. And when we looked up pictures from construction it seems the green mold existed even before closing. Even after providing evidence to Pulte about the mold, they won’t fix it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with Pulte for their home construction. Please avoid Pulte at all costs. The mold buildup in the home that was present from before the closing date is unacceptable, as it poses a serious health hazard to me and my family. Overall, I would not recommend Pulte Homes to anyone looking to purchase a new construction home. The build quality is poor, and the issues I experienced have made my experience with the company a complete nightmare. The process was seamless and easy!

I would not recommend Pulte homes to friends and family simply because of the workmanship, this is sad because everyone else involved with the purchase of our new home were excellent. It seems like the house was constructed by day laborers. I’m horrified every day, watching the houses around me being constructed, knowing that mine was done the same way.

Purchasing a Pulte home was an easy, seamless and enjoyable experience. They finished building our home before the projected date and everyone was very helpful throughout the purchasing process. Highly recommend Pulte.

Pulte Team are the best team to work with, they were always available to assist with any questions and concerns about our new build. Can’t say enough about how Professional and kind they are.

There are some lows, overall an average satisfaction experience

We had a great experience with Pulte. From the very beginning we felt part of the process, and enjoyed watching our home come to life. From the lot pick, to the upgrades and the design process we were walked thru with ease. Jessica in the office was there to answer questions and Dustin, the construction manager provided weekly updates . Both were very attentive to our concerns. The walk through and closing went smoothly. The final punch list was the shortest of any home we had ever built. Pulte delivered and we would definitely recommend them.

We had a very good experience working with sales, construction management and home care representatives. They were all very professional and responsive during the build process and managing the limited number of post closing issues. The quality of workmanship & materials were pretty good given the dynamics of the local housing market supply/demand, supply chain issues and labor availability.

Pulte did provide what was contracted and overall we are satisfied with the finished product, even though it was over 2 months late., However some , "fit and finish" and punch list items remain unresolved after over 30days. Text, emails, person-to-person contact with the "Construction Sup" have resolved only some minor issues. But remaining issues : Missing expansion joints on Concrete garage floor, excessive gaps and leaks shower door are still remain unresolved .

This experience of buying a brand new home has been nothing short of terrible, first of all you do the walk through of your new home and everything is looking good as can be expected but within the first week everything started breaking!! 1. Water Heater broke within the first week and the team had no sense of urgency, the company that came out to fix it weren't professionals, they were unorganized handy men at best, broke the vent and weren't neat. NP Mechanical 2. HVAC (Heater) broken didn't work and we have been here for a month now and it is still not fixed. NP Mechanical 3. ERV (Ventilation system) broken the entire system was replaced and broke again within the first day of repair, unprofessional and very poor customer service with lack of what it is they are actually working on. 4. Bulge in the wall (no contact on repair yet) 5. Backyard drainage only works for 50% of the yard 6. Electrical issues with front and backyard lights (repaired) With all that said our amazing home purchase turned into another job and having to deal with incentives customer service staff that doesn't care about the end consumer I wouldn't recommend Pulte Homes to anyone very poor materials used and looks like a rush job, not worth the 600k price tag stay away!!! ... Being out-of-state buyers, the Pulte people we dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable and great communicators. They helped to guide our decisions in the features of our new home. They explained everything that was going on with the process and kept us informed in a timely manner as construction progress through Zoom and virtual tours. During the final walk-through Colton clearly explained the features and operation of our home. The Pulte Homeowner Guide was especially helpful. Overall we like our home but numerous problems exist. Most are the result of careless mistakes that now require things to be redone and may be difficult to fix satisfactory.Wish more attention/oversight was given during the building process.

From the very beginning Pulte was fabulous. They accommodated us at every turn and we could not be happier about the home they provided. The entire team was extremely responsive and willing to go well above expectations to ensure our experience was amazing. We’ll be recommending them whenever we can and already have to many.

Our construction manager Ashley was very helpful and professional. Our realtor even mentioned that our house was the neatest and most prepared new home walk through he has done. Pulte's warranty team responded quickly to fixing 2 out of the 3 issues we found with the new house in the first 30 days which we very much appreciated. We are enjoying our new home.

I enjoy my house and neighborhood houses look nice .

They have done a great job with this home. The builder kept us update with everything that was going on with the house every week. Now that's how you do it.

The Great - The Consturction manager and the lady conducting the celebration walk through , Pulte Mortgage and PGP Title folks were outstandaing and they made all the diference. Not So Good: The Sales Agenet.Least said is the better.

The sales team lead by Carly at Estates of LakeView Reserves did a great job to identify our needs and bring an real option that match.

It is good to have your own real estate agent with you who is knowledgeable in new home builds with Pulte. The builder does not have your best interests in mind in many cases, so it is very helpful to have a impartial experienced advocate. It also is important to know that when you do your structural meeting with the sales team that they will hide a lot of things from you. There are many options they won't show you and they will mislead you based on what they have been told to push. You should ask to review all available options even though it takes longer. Ask questions about the options. If you wish something could be done, ask what option would make that happen. Hopefully your sales person won't lie and say something can only be done at the design meeting when it has to be done during the structural meeting because once you lock in the structural contract, it cannot be changed--no matter what. Also, be aware that if you want anything other than the default pool, you need to separately schedule a pool design meeting. Our experience with the onsite staff was fantastic.

The team kept me updated from start to finish. The response to any questions was immediate. Tim was outstanding to work with. Since I was living in another state at the time Amy’s pictures helped me feel I was visiting the property in person. Overall, I would recommend the Pulte group and their attention to detail.

Great experience over all, builder Eslam took his time to go over all aspect of building process and answer my questions with satisfying answers, with loan process Tara and Shawn were great couldn’t ask for any one better.

Closing was not on time . Quality of material is not good
