After exploring every possible route to buying a home, I can confidently say choosing Pulte Homes was the best decision we made. Before landing here, I truly did my homework. I looked at high-quality resale homes, considered fixer-uppers, luxury new construction, and toured multiple new construction builders—including D.R. Horton, DRB, Chafin and other comparable brands. I went into this process open-minded, even giving builders with mixed reputations a fair shot. But nothing compared to the experience we had with Pulte. The first major differentiator was the financing. The mortgage rates Pulte was able to offer were honestly unmatched. Even when I explored other lenders and banks, I was not able to secure anything close—unless I was willing to put significantly more money down. That alone made a huge impact. Beyond pricing, the overall experience stood out. The team was incredibly responsive from start to finish. We were able to visit the home during construction whenever we wanted, and our construction manager was always available and helpful. That level of accessibility and transparency made the process feel comfortable and exciting instead of stressful. One of the biggest things that set Pulte apart was their approach to the punch list. Unlike other builders we spoke with—who require you to close first and then address outstanding items—Pulte made sure everything on our list was completed before closing. We were even able to do a final walkthrough afterward for peace of mind. That level of accountability is rare and made a huge difference in our confidence. The experience didn’t stop at closing either. Their warranty team proactively reached out, introduced themselves, and checked in to make sure everything was going well. We did have a small issue with one of our ovens, and it was resolved quickly and without any hassle. The follow-up and care after move-in really reinforced that we made the right choice. Going into new construction, I was honestly hesitant. You hear a lot about builders focusing more on profit than quality, and I was prepared to be cautious. But with Pulte, it never felt that way. Aside from a horrible experience with Pulte mortgage, the home itself and dealing with Mike and Heartwood was an absolute dream. He met us over at the new house several times, explained everything to us, walked through with us, and has been extremely responsive if I have needed anything since then. They definitely have the right man for the job over there after closing. I feel very confident and supported that if anything happens with the house, he will be there for us. Thank you Mike!!

House design is good, and construction seems sound. However the attention to finish detail is only adequate. Many paint splatters on floors, kitchen cabinets have multiple chips, many exterior defects. While we own the house, we're completely in the dark as to what is being done. Sprinklers have many defects, but we don't know who is responsible. Mulching is incomplete. Construction manager is unresponsive, so asking him seems useless. A specific example is the cabinets. Nick agreed to replace some doors and drawers due to numerous defects. These have been sitting in the house for over a month, and despite contacting him numerous times to schedule the repairs. On the whole, we like the house but the quality of detail work is disappointing, and the unresponsiveness of our construction manager is unacceptable. ... More

So so experience some very good and some not so much

The process of seeing the house and buying went pretty quickly. The main waiting period was waiting for the house to be built so we could close. The construction manager really enhanced our experience during this time and continues to be of help to us as we settle in. The mortgage process through the builder-associated lender required some back and forth as is expected for any home loan experience. There were also minor things we wanted to change that we did ourselves like adding more conveniently placed towel hooks in the bathrooms. Our rep CeCe was awesome. She was available throughout the entire process. She was a true godsent. Zach who is the construction manager, went to work when he was informed about a water leak.

Everyday I'm finding something wrong or needs to be fixed and your back office people are terrible along with the sales manager who delayed our closing I would never recommend you to anyone.

Very pleased with our new home. The local sales team was exceptional as was Adam the construction manager. The project stayed on budget and the work was finished in a timely manner. Any post-move-in issues we had were minor and the Putle team was quick to set things right.

Work order system is slow. A contractor comes to fix cracks in the foundation and can only fix one because the work order says "crack" not "cracks". He was unable to get permission to fix all so he has to come back. What a waste of everyones time. We are also disappointed with some of the craftsmanship. Even after the final walk through we found many small instances of work that looked like it was hastily done. Also disappointed with quality of some of the materials used. We paid for baseboard upgrades and were suprised that they were not actual wood.

Our Construction Manager, Tylor, went above and beyond to ensure our home building process was seamless. He has continued to make himself available for any questions. The Pulte management team stepped in whenever necessary to make certain any concerns were met with our best interest in mind. Our new home is amazing.

We are very satisfied with our new energy efficient home. The property is strategically located close to the two main highways which makes commute very smooth. Build quality and upkeep is good. However, we are really looking forward to the children play area and the workout space which should come up soon I believe. Besides, you have a very responsive team who tend to your maintenance needs. Looking forward to make great memories here!

Overall very general approach to the quality. Like working to the gas station, at the very first glance everything looks good, but when you start looking in to detail, you could see that quality isn’t so good. I would never hire any contractors, to do job with this level of quality.

I genuinely appreciate Trinh and Marina for the professionalism, guidance, and seamless coordination you both demonstrated throughout this process. What could have been a complex and stressful journey was handled with such care and efficiency, making it a smooth and positive experience for my family and me. Trinh and Marina's dedication to clients is clearly reflected in the way they conduct their work, and it does not go unnoticed. Beyond the excellent service, I also value the relationship we’ve built along the way.

The master bath is not safe to shower in. Looks like it wasn’t designed to take shower in. I will have to spend money to complete the shower. If you would like to help me let me know

Construction deadline was missed despite sales assuring us several times it would be met, This forced us to find a short term rental during a period when my husband was in the ICU. Pulte offered no assistance. The irrigation system was never finished, no spray heads were installed, and never tested. One zone did not work and we had to oay a third party to fix it. Half the sod is dead as it was installed in the middle of January during an extreme cold snap. Now we have to pay to replace it. Electrical outlets were not installed where noted on our approved plan. The only electrical outlet on the screen porch as installed on a wall between two doors and is unusable. We were told that it was installed according to the construction plan which we never saw or approved and now we are fighting to get an outlet installed on the back wall of the porch where it should have been placed. A wire in a wall switch arced and flipped a circuit breaker and we had no kitchen lights for two days. Promised refinish to the front porch has not been completed and we have been in the house for two months. Touchup painting was sloppy and there is paint spray on baseboards, floor and bathroom fixtures. Several doors ghost despite having been adjusted several times. Outside flood light has one light pointing straight to the ground and the other one doesn’t work. This has not been fixed despite promises it would be. Wands on blinds are so short that I have to reach over 6 ft from the floor to reach them to close the blinds. It clearly appears that these are production houses with little thought to how they are being used and poor supervision of inexperienced contractors. It has been a very poor stressful experience. I have built 5 houses in my lifetime and I am very familiar with the expectations of new construction. This has been a horrible experience and I would never recommend Pulte to anyone. ... More

Shawn my build supervisor was fantastic. Responded to every issue or concern I had in a very timely and professional manner.

Overall the home buying process was pretty smooth. The home itself is where the issue is. This is fine if you’re buying your first house..but if you’re trying to buy a QUALITY home, look elsewhere. The paint for the walls is so cheap, you could bump into and it leaves a mark. There is no storage for anything. There is no storage for anything upstairs besides an attic. There is no where to put towels, wash clothes or etc. There is a storage closet right by the garage but there are no racks. The pantry in the kitchen is so small..Very disappointing. The house just is not functional. There is no towel bar and no tissue bar in any of the bathrooms. ... More

Our experience with Pulte Homes was truly a tale of two very different teams. On the construction side, we could not have been more impressed. The craftsmanship and overall build quality of our home exceeded expectations. Even more notable was the communication throughout the construction process—timely updates, transparency, and a genuine willingness to answer questions made us feel informed and confident every step of the way. It’s clear that the construction team takes pride in their work, and it shows in both the final product and the customer experience. Unfortunately, our experience with the sales team was the complete opposite. From the initial interactions through higher levels of management, we consistently encountered a lack of knowledge, poor communication, and, most concerning, a lack of integrity. Questions often went unanswered or were answered incorrectly, and follow-through was inconsistent at best. Rather than feeling supported during a major life purchase, we often felt frustrated and misled. It’s disappointing because the strength of the construction team proves that Pulte Homes is capable of delivering an excellent experience. However, the sales process significantly detracted from what should have been an exciting and positive journey. We were forced to close on a home that wasn’t fully completed. We gave as much push back as possible to have the home completed prior to closing but Pulte threatened us with potential fines or complete cancellation of the contract (and keeping our down payment deposit) if we didn’t close on their timeline despite the home being incomplete. In fact, we were cornered by the sales manager with these threats at a walkthrough of the property. We were told they’d come back to complete the remaining items but haven’t received any correspondence on these items since closing. Still awaiting for items to be completed two months post closing. I’ve requested a warranty repair for some of these items but that process has been a nightmare to deal with as well… quality customer service & responsiveness is nearly non existent with this company. ... Careful when purchasing a home with Pulte Homes in Bison Ridge…. Stay AWAY from RUBEN he is only interested in selling you a house and he will make you fill like he understands you and he will make you feel like he will go all the way with you, but if you bring a realtor things shift for the worst you will NEVER hear from him again not even to show his face and congratulate you for purchasing a new home. We had so many issues, I went back and forwarded with another pulte sales manager (GARY) and instead of making this BETTER for the client he just made excuses and did not do anything about it. I requested to speak with someone higher to make myself be hearted about ALL the situation that had happened and EVEN the VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES AND MARKETING (Brad) did NOTHING!!! SO lets say I just stopped trying to be heard and be completely DISAPPOINTED of PULTE HOMES REPRESENTATIVES and I am just passing the voice… if you buy a house with PULTE make SURE you are being heard before and AFTER the closing. ...
