Most parts of the process were way below standards what we expected of Pulte. Multiple times I gave you the benefit of doubt due to global supply chain issues. But now it is clear you were only interested in selling at the market peak, not focused on delivering. 1. Warranty manager although responsive, only responds to selected issues. Some of the issues seem to go into a black-hole. 2. A few glaring design defects were not mentioned, although every employee, contractor and visitor knew of them (driveway slopes backwards, carpet in a few rooms highly defective). Cabinets poor - spacing between cabinets and drywall. 3. The construction manager was a very personable guy, but again hid issues. Tried to sell off everything as final touches. Months after closing, the "final touches" are still unaddressed. 4. The closing department held my key hostage for a day after closing. They didn't give the final figure in time and even after my wire made it to them, they locked themselves in a half day meeting (8/22/22). How can you schedule a closing and let your employees go to multi-hour meetings during that time?? You're lucky I didn't get a lawyer and made you pay for that. 4. I am giving it until Oct 31 for all issues to be fixed. We are reasonable for minor issues - but not going to accept the issues that were slid under the carpet. I am engaging a lawyer. Pulte share all beautiful things when you make the purchase… but after you sign… begin all the lies about the problems in construction. Pulte don’t give real answer. All excuses. Bad workmanship and materials. We have open like 50 items to replace by warranty. Not small. We have like floor bathrooms, drywalls, paint. So stressful. Pulte it doens't care about all the issues in the community. We hace security problems because the gate is always for construction. And they don’t care.

Right from the beginning, it was so tough to get any update from the construction manager. Target closing date Aug 2021 got delayed for 1 year. Finally closed in Aug 2022. Final walkthrough was a nightmare. They missed to put the window in one bedroom and got caught during inspection. They keep telling about staff shortage but it dint seem true since they are building scores of other houses in the same community. Construction manager didn’t bother to inform us of the status. We kept pushing to get the closing date and finally ended up paying sky high interest, only because of a careless construction manager. Horrible experience with this construction manager. ... More

The Pulte experience was great!

First off, we love our new Pulte home. For the most part, we are very happy with the home, our upgrades, and the quality. During the process of working with Diane (sales office) and Jake (construction manager), we have been impressed with the time taken to provide details and inform us of the construction process along the way. Unfortunately, at the end of the process and now, 1.5 months of ownership, we most certainly do not feel like a priority any longer, nor do neighbors that we have spoken to. Jake the construction manager turned over the responsibilities for closing out our home to his assistant, Kyle. First, Kyle changed our closing date without informing the Title Company or me and my wife. During the walkthrough he did a good job walking the house and his crews followed up on most needed quick fixes. However, when pointing out stains in the carpet upstairs, he said he would send a carpet cleaner. That never happened. We decided to live with the stains and will work to remove the stains ourselves. The next item, which is major to me and my wife is that our kitchen cabinets are still not fixed. There are several molding pieces missing, a cabinet side missing, self-closing drawers that do not close, and the nail holes/scratches have not been covered. Kyle indicated that he ordered the parts and that they should be received within a week or so. The cabinet parts have still not been received 1.5 months in and Kyle is extremely slow to reply or give adequate updates when he does respond. When reaching out to Jake to obtain an update he pushes the responsibility onto Kyle. We paid an awful lot for this chef's kitchen and we want to fully enjoy it. Lastly, we still do not have our smart lock for the front door. When the smart home installer called Kyle about the lock, Kyle indicated it was on backorder after checking around. Kyle never informed us it was on backorder. 1.5 months in and no smart lock. Is the problem the two different companies not being responsive, or is the problem our construction management? To us, it doesn't matter...we just want our home to be finished and have what we paid for. Overall, like I said, we love our home. But, as soon as Pulte received our money, we certainly do not feel like a priority to Pulte Chasewood's team. That is very disappointing! ... More

Work with our sales person has been excellent. She was helpful with selections and also with advise about options. She has let us know what was happening during construction and explained the delays. The biggest problem that we had was that when we walked through prior to closing there were many things not finished and no touch up had been done. We were promised that they would be done by closing and nothing was done. For example, our refrigerator was not set up, the washer and dryer not connected, vent covers and covers under the kitchen sink were missing, doors were cracked and split and an attempt to repair one door left it off the hinges in our bathroom - it needed to be replaced. The paint job was sloppy and there was glue and other material on the floors. There were cap over the screws missing on the front door and the outer door windows were covered with excess paint. It was really sloppy and it delayed our moving in be several days. Since closing Jon has been in and taken care of a number of these concerns. He has been amicable, apologetic and efficient. However, when he was out we got no response to requests. We have now been in our home for a month and just got the keys to our mail box so we can receive mail. Although we are still pleased to be living in a Pulte Home and greatly appreciate the responsiveness to our requests for repair of items that should have been done at closing, we are considered that there is a serious problem with preparing these homes for sale in an expected way that may deter others. We hope that this is a temporary problem. We also have not heard from the management company and the field behind us is tremendously overgrown and for those of us with allergies is a serious problem that also must detract from sales. Pulte DID NOT follow their own guiding principles: “Do the right thing”; “Compassion for the customer” or “Care about quality”. They bullied us into closing on a house that was Not “Complete, Clean or Move-In-Ready” They switch out appliances selected and paid for to lower level brand. A house that should look new looks like a 20 year old resale due to chipped floor tiles, chipped drywall corners, scratched doors, dented and gouged baseboard and trim, window, door, electrical and plumbing issues, too many more list.

Excellent builders very great home

My experience with Pulte Homes Staff was great. I had a fantastic experience with Stephanie as my sales rep. She was phenomenal especially with her knowledge, expertise, and understanding in selling the Pulte Home experience. Also, my experience working side by side with Bob (the foreman) helped my transition into the new home successful. He went to great lengths explaining the details of what my Pulte Home had to offer. His assistance along with Stephanie's expertise helped make my Pulte Home move in great. Out of all the homes I've had, Pulte Homes is the best builder hands down. It has definitely not been a stress free move process. A lot of rescheduling because of not receiving communication in time that walk-throughs cannot be met as things are not finished, or having to reschedule the closing multiple times. In the end we could not move the closing any further due to move out constraints, but the house was not fully ready yet 3 weeks after promised delivery when they were just one month out of closing. If they had focused on our house I'm sure they would have been able to, but it seems they were short staffed and had multiple closings around getting delayed, so sometimes nobody was working on it as it was just in the queue. A bit disappointed on the quality of the finishes in the house, we highlighted multiple times various areas to be addressed, but they never did. You get to the point that you give up asking and just see if you can do something yourself instead. Some examples are: paint on the hardwood floors, stain on the stairs are not done very well in certain spots or there are stain drips on hard wood. The whole house was dirty as well. It just doesn't show as a good quality finish. After moving in, I opened various tickets to address some immediate concerns. After not hearing for a while, a new warranty manager was appointed - Demetri. Demetri took immediate action and was great to work with. Based on his supervision my tickets got addressed with quick turnaround. In the end things look a bit better, but overall I would still not say it's high quality work that I would have expected based on the price I paid. I'm still scraping my floors to try and get it paint free to make it look like a finished product. ... More

From the very beginning, meeting Kelley and reviewing the home plan options, selecting the perfect lot and finalizing finishes was truly a great experience. The quality and value of the home is everything we hoped for and more. Tim was excellent with the build process, sharing updates throughout and very clear on all the details, especially preparing our home for move-in. This was truly the best home buying experience!

I recommend working with Pulte. I had only owned my house for three weeks when hurrican Ian came on shore. My house withstood the storm with minor pool screen damage. Amazing.

Pulte let their deadlines and we close on our house on time. Once they sell you their house, however, their customer service is poor.

I moved into my brand new home that was never cleaned after the construction team. I feel as though nothing but your company being paid is a priority and can honestly say I will never buy a Pulte home again. There was nothing enjoyable about this experience.

No communication on home build phases A lot of issue which they promos to fix before closing ./ 70% still existing Following up from day one . But nothing happens This has been 45 days Such a shame .. I am regretting my decision .

The house is solid and well built. You can tell that Pulte puts a lot of pride into the home. The home itself is worth the money. Unfortunately the quality of the cabinets is less than we would expect for the price of the home. The worst part is the painting. The paint is very cheap and I don't think the painter bothered to mask anything or cover the floors. There's paint on all of the switchplates and dripped onto the floor. The good part of this is that Pulte is very responsive to getting this fixed.

The person I worked with was very responsive and addressed all the issues.

Pulte is a good brand but they use students to do the work. Our foundation was cracked several times to line up the plumbing, our driveway was poured before the roof titles were place and when I complained Pulte only fixed a section and now the cement doesn't match. There was a slow leak under my sink and now the base of the cabinet is warp. I believe that our dishwasher and rangehood were installed somewhere else, uninstalled and then installed in our home because the filters were filled with dust. The painters left paint on the floor tiles all along the edges, and the edging of the ceiling are not clean cut. Gray on the ceiling edges instead of white. I get that S&S construction is a trade school so the quality of work is no where near the price that these homes are selling for. When we did our walk through the guy placed type on all the issues we spotted but after we left, I think he just went back in and removed the tape because none of the little stuff was done. Why have a walk through? The S&S students have to learn and we need the trades but the sales rep sold us on quality but did not tell us that beginner's were going to do the work. We are still waiting on our smart home package to arrive and our decorative outside awnings to be installed. We are now working with Warranty to get all of our issues resolved. Oh well that is life, if you want something done to your expectations then you better do it yourself because no company cares about you. ... More

Our construction manager really helped us

The support from the Pulte employees has been fantastic, but unfortunately the workmanship has been terrible. Within a month on living in the house the following has happened: Garage door collapsed and needs to be replaced. Half of my kitchen has been without backsplash for a week because the countertop needs to be replaced. Once replaced, who know when the tile company will come back to put the backsplash since they are never available. Nails were sticking out all over the carpet around the stairs. All the edges and doorways and had my kids get cuts multiple times. This issue was finally fixed a couple of days ago. The tile in the first floor bathroom needs to be redone since they left over an inch gap against the baseboard filled with grout. Multiple tiles on the second floor need to be replaced due to lipage. The grout finisher on the bathroom walls is terrible and needs to be redone. Nicollet and Steven have always been there and the experience with them has been great, But it is hard to trust the quantity of a builder after you have all this issues and the response from the subs is non urgent and in cases they try to tell you that there is no issue (like the tile and carpet in my case).
