We closed on our home in late April of 2022. When we arrived at our new “dream” home it was dirty and much of the detail work was sloppy. Grout debris was on the bathroom tiles. The pool had dirt, nails and other debris in it. There was paint and stucco on the pavers, the washer and dryer was not secured or level, there were pieces of shoe molding that were missing and there was molding around the cabinets and a few other places that was missing as well. The sliding glass door tracks had stucco debris making operation of the doors very difficult. The floor casings were unsecured in a few places and there are several damaged areas on the flooring as well. And the paint job was just plain unprofessional in many areas of the home. There were other issues as well and some of these have been addressed. But we’ve been in our “dream” home now nearly 4 months and many of the issues remain unresolved. Overall, the job Pulte did looked like it was rushed in order to hit the closing target and the result was a sloppy mess. I was told that the Covid pandemic made things from both a procurement perspective and a construction perspective much more difficult than is typically the case. I don’t dispute that. However, that is Pulte’s issue to deal with. I still had to pay the agreed upon price. And Pulte never offered a price reduction to compensate for their poor performance. My main concern was water in the basement during construction. The grading was not fully finished until 1-2 wks before closing and water almost was accumulated in the basement after snow or rain. We raised our concern multiple times and got various excuses.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my home building experience with Pulte Homes. Pulte Mortgage especially did an exceptional job keeping me informed throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Pulte Homes to anyone looking to build a new home.

Company wouldn’t listen to our concerns, eventually leading to a basement that’s flooded twice, once after we closed and moved in. List of things that still haven’t been done in almost 2 months of occupancy. Broken promises the entire way.

Design studio experience was very stressful. Two things. One. some options that were available were not discussed. Second, it would have been a much better experience with the design center to have at least 24 hrs. to change some decisions. or add some options.

House sold way over price, have to sell for a loss. Quality is bad, gave house with torn carpet and broken windows. Then asks for a review and refuses to publish as it deters business. Good for you pulte, I’ll write a review somewhere else. Thanks for the trash house that’s underwater now. Oh and thanks for the dangerous living conditions for $1.4m. Consistent follow-up by the Construction Manager and the Title Company. It was a great experience.

The only person that has made this a better experience is Adrian. He is professional, communicates well and gets the job done! No matter the issue Adrian made sure that it was corrected.

There is a limit in these reviews so I can't even list all of the issues that have come up. The quality of the trades they outsource are horrible. They are backed up and were still building the home and had not even finished many areas when we closed. Stains on the driveway, trash everywhere in the garage and yard at closing, appliances not in, took months just to get approval to start drywall, a closet wasn't even painted a month after closing, shutters weren't on the home until after closing, the floorplan sucks so bad that we are ripping out walls before even moving in, basements were offered for some homes but not others, the "3rd car garage" can't fit even a midsize car because it is shorter so you would have to crawl across the hood to get into the house, stains in the showers of both bathrooms that 3 cleaning companies couldn't remove, there is virtually no storage anywhere, We paid for every upgrade and every premium and yet it is still built to the quality of a home half the price. Talked to at least 6 neighbors and ALL 6 had issues - some even worse. Water heater burnt out 48 hours after moving in, water leaks in the wall less than a month after closing, windows not even being caulked all the way (we have the same problem), no caulking around the gas and water lines outside, chips in walls, it is literally hard to even remember all of the issues. We had 3 different field managers during the process as Pulte keeps moving them to other communities. This is the worst home building experience ever. I wouldn't recommend Pulte to anyone, ever. And certainly not for the price they charge. It is amazing that the city hasn't pulled their building permits yet. There is no way many of these homes should have received a certificate of occupancy. ... More

Very disappointed with the quality and materials

Zora and Adam worked together well to make sure I stayed in the loop regarding the progress of the build. Overall, this was a pretty smooth buying process. Absolutely no issues. Now that we are in the home and finally settling in we love it. There are a few minor things that needed to be addressed but the response time to rectify issues is great. So far Julie has been awesome in making sure of that.

Great Brand New Home! The builder kept us informed during the building process.

I expected a bit more quality to begin with, there are chipped tiles (4) hard wired network don't work (2) and the failed to wire electricity to both, garage doors had issues -now fixed, garbage disposal trips breaker if used, door frames trim lacks quality in some areas, patio door would not slide properly-now fixed, Landscaping slapped together/rushed and no input from homeowner allowed on choices, interior lights (2) work sometimes, sometimes not, rushed to closing on the house was not necessary. Front door had gaps, homeowner corrected this, bugs for weeks were in the home due to not being sealed up properly for so long, many appliance books missing, closet shelving was missing and took two weeks to be added was no fun. In time, and with the work orders submitted these items should be resolved. A MAJOR issue is the soggy wet side on the left side when facing the house. In better than 30 days that we have been here it is too wet to even walk on. It has been reported, nothing done yet. Its more than 48 hours with no rain and still very wet. This is the first house we build from scratch and we are happy with Pulte overall. We were able to customize the house to meet our needs and the building process was fairly smooth. The project manager was very knowledgeable and kind. The close date was delayed 21 days over the initial estimate, which caused us a few headaches but considering the whole COVID situation, it wasn't that bad.

The sooner you decide upon purchasing the better. This should allow you to make a number of style/contents decisions which would be unable to be done if buying later the construction process. My experience with Pulte has been a favorable one. Realizing that there's a lot going on and that the times we live are challenging enough, overall we are confident that our decision to buy at Pennington was/is the right one.

We weren't real pleased with our sales person, wasn't thorough with pre-construction options, and lacked follow up. Luckily we were already in the area and could follow construction, otherwise we would have had no idea. We had two constructions managers, Jordan and Justin, who were both terrific, responsive and stayed on top of the construction, communicated well, hit all their time lines with updates, meetings and closing. After closing your handed off for punch list items, big disappointment at this point with communication and follow through.

PULTE dropped the ball and almost every single part of the process of us buying our house from the first conversation to the 30 day inspection after we moved in. Sales people didn’t communicate deadlines and we were left without structural options we said we wanted. Mortgage company is arguably the worst customer service I’ve ever had ANYWHERE in my entire life. They consistently lost our documents and made us resubmit them, changed things at the last second without communicating to us, and dragged a 1 month process out for 9 months. Craftsmanship was subpar also. Cabinets hung crooked, electrical outlets not straight, holes in the drywall, cracks in the baseboards, unpainted baseboards, broken window. All these things should have been discovered by our construction manager when he did a walkthrough and fixed when we did our walkthrough before moving in but only 2 of the 10 issues we outlined in our walkthrough were actually corrected. PULTE consistently blamed the pandemic and the laborers they hired and never took responsibility for their poor work in every single step of this process. Prices are higher than usual this days

Building experience was good and sales rep was responsive. At closing, there were many issues and had to move closing twice. At final close there were several actions for builder to fix. No response since. Air conditioning still does not work after over a month. Very frustrated.

It’s nice to have with Pulte binders to build your new house.

Had a great experience starting with my initial visit as given free license to explore the different layout models. They do a great job with assigning you a personal agent to communicate with throughout the process. Loved the extra touch of being able to contact the construction manager and see your home being built through the phases. Closing went well and inspection too though had to call a few times for a couple cosmetic things that still needed to be taken care of afterwards

Took a long time to come to realization, but was worth it in the end!
