Bought a home, before closing everyone node their heads and after closing no one responding.

Let's start with closing... Closing on our new build was originally 30 June. When going through a walkthrough (blue tape), there were a lot of issues that needed fixing. Building Manager pushed it out 2 weeks to get everything A-OK. Come Wednesday July 13, repairs were being made but still needed to have some things fixed. Building manager said that these repairs would be completed "for sure by Thursday". Pulte title company needed funds transferred 1 day prior to closing to expedite the paperwork which will occur 15 July. So 14 July I wire transferred the amount to close to Pulte Title, then went back to the house to see progress that afternoon. Issues still weren't fixed! Building manager mention that he would push closing if we weren't satisfied (which we weren't), but the wire transfer already went through. Getting money pulled back for a wire transfer is a huge headache so we were forced to close on 15 July with the promise of the last of the items needing repair will be done within 48 hours. Come to today, September 3rd, the issues are STILL not fixed. Pulte is a joke. You can only use "COVID" as an excuse for so long. Typically a new build will take 4-6 months (I know this because we built a new build from Centex back in 2015 in the same area). Building was "complete" in 12-13 months. So with respects to the COVID excuse, Pulte had DOUBLE the time to build this house. Also we're in 2022 where things are basically back to normal. Pulte needs to treat their employees better listening to their needs and providing the QUALITY resources that building managers need (tradesmen, the amount of houses they are in charge of, etc.) The building managers need to have better attention to detail with a house. Inspecting the trade-worker's work and making sure they show up to work, and if they don't, fire them and hire a new contract. Pulte CEO should support this for crying out loud. The amount of money and wasted time due to sub-par workmanship is astounding. When you pay for a half-million dollar house and you feel like your other house that cost around $200K had better craftsmanship, its speaks loud to what this company is really after... money. Pulte doesn't care about the homeowners, they care about their bottom-line. "How much did we make this quarter?" "Let's jack up the prices of these houses because the market is in our favor." "Pump out houses quick; I don't care if the quality is that of Habitat for Humanity Volunteer level." Never again... ... More

very poor customer service, no one answers your service requests

We love our new Pulte home and Gretchen was extremely helpful during the buying process. We closed escrow in less than 30 days. I would recommend buying a Pulte home. They are very well built.

For the price we paid, it should have been better.

Building a home with Pulte was one of the worst experiences of our life. We had previously built two homes with smaller builders and had a positive experience with both. The other builders made every effort to meet our needs, with Pulte it was take it or leave it. We met with the Design Center and after making our selections were later told our wood flooring, wall tile and countertops were not available no effort would be made to provide them. Later while we were in Florida we learned the applince package was no longer available. Our predrywall meeting was another issue. It was scheduled on a date when I was out of town on a trip that had been planned for a year. When we asked to move it back a day we were told that was impossible. My wife went by herself and was left with the impression we would get a key and have access to the house during construction as we did with the previous two houses we built. We found out this wasn't true and we had to make arrangement with our sales rep to go in and see the progress on the house. We had no input into the closing date even within the two week window which was all we heard throughout the construction progress. Finally, the landscaping was down in a very hapharzd manner. We had no input and the landscapers gave no consideration to which plants did well in shade versus sunshine. Pulte mortgage and the sales person we dealt with were phenomenal…..the craftsmanship and quality of work in the house is sub par

Everything was good up until our walk through. Tyler our CM deceived us and withheld information on our AC unit. For the first month of owning our new home we were without AC (family of 6) for 2 weeks out of 4 weeks. Had 5 total technicians come and give different reasons for not working. The sod was dead and has yet to be replaced, we had no ethernet outlets that we paid for and are still dealing with that issue. No screens on any of the windows, and multiple electrical issues. Since the new Customer Care Manager came on board, he has been amazing in trying to fix the issues we have. Be cautious and ensure all work is complete to your standards. Don't BUY!!!! Very poor quality and they don't care. They promise the world and nothing but problems. Still waiting for things to get fixed.....no follow up on anything. I upgraded everything and the upgrades are cheap!!!!!! I can't imagine how cheap the standard items are. NOT WORTH THE COST AT ALL!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful experience except for your sales office where the experience was otherwise.

Buying the house and the construction period was great. The people I worked with (Jake and Charlee) were very responsive and checked in after closing. The after purchase team is the opposite. The emergency line take messages and has a stated 3 day response time.

During the build process everyone was easy to work with and responsive. Then we moved in and things changed. Leaky pipes, broken supply vents, missing vent for the over the stove microwave are all things that should have been right before closing but weren't. Now, the construction crew ignores us. We're told to contact the warranty department, who tells us it will be taken care of but nothing happens. The items needing fixing are small, but the hassle of getting them fixed are very annoying. If you purchase a Pulte home, be very thorough during your pre-closing walk through. Check everything. ... More

Pulte is clearly a quantity, not quality type company. Our home in Wild Blue was a JOKE. Justin forced us to close without mirrors or glass in the bathrooms. The entire house is full of nicks in the walls, unfinished trim work, paint on everything (not just the walls). It is the epitome of sloppy. Getting someone to care once you’ve closed - nearly impossible, unless you make your way up the chain to superiors. Justin must have mentioned his “survey” ten times insisting he didn’t want to lose his #1 spot. While Justin is a nice guy, the only reason he is #1 is because he asks you to do the survey well in advance of completion of your home, before the home is complete and before buyers can take a good look. Despite being in the position for a significant amount of time, Justin apparently forgot that we were to do a quality walk-thru before and after we closed. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN which lead us to the most frustrating, gut-wrenching, disappointing feeling after we closed. We had to BEG them to take care of some of the sloppy workmanship, even our doorbell was on crooked. Not once did Pulte offer any apologies or compensation for our troubles. They truly do not care. The builder is responsive. However, he does not follow through with his promises. We always had to remind him to take care of small issues. The craftmanship is very bad. It is a $550,000 home but feels like a $200K home. I would not recommend anyone to buy any home from Pulte. Huge regret.

My experience with the Pulte Builder was good. They kept me up to date on each progression that was made throughout the house and the next steps to take place.

The Engineer construction named Grant ,he is the best .He always did what he promised.He worked hard from the beginning to the end ,house finished on time.The sale man Mike,he is friendly,happy answered all our questions.Great team ! Good work !

Process was seamless and easy

Overall experience during the buying portion was really great with all the support of the purchase office particularly Arturo and loan process with Brent. Although there are few issues with the build, with some minor issues particularly missing bathroom door and island repair which cause a little delay on issuing house keys and finding electrical problem, and on countertop, after the turnover. Other than that, we are very satisfied.

None of the tiles are levelled- Pulte says this is normal. None of my furniture stay levelled. Walls are not laid straight. Doors does not latch properly, painting not uniform, drywall already having cracks, walls already shaking after one month of closing. There are 30+ issues. Builders just want to close before all proper quality checks are done and forget about it. Field Manager is always in rush to go through inspections with you. To fix the issue, you need to go with their schedule and wait for two weeks upto month. When they come to fix it, is not good and have to redo it or, they simply say this is how it is. I had purchased other home from Century Builder. Compared to that I am not happy with quality and workmanship. Lets see how structure works. ... More

Delays, delays and more delays only to point figures and trade/subs versus taking ownership and producing the quality product Pulte in known for. Just way to many poor workmanship and quality issues versus quality of work seen in other Pulte developments. Construction Sups try hard, but they are severely limited with their resources and constantly having to address workmanship issues versus a build first-time-right quality standard. This is where Trust was lost and the building a new home experience that was suppose to be positive was taken away. We are very happy that we are finally in our new house and in the Glenmore Neighborhood, but walking through the house daily we are reminded of the poor quality of overall finishes and workmanship which is really disappointing. But, after having a recent meeting with Pulte’s warranty team, they seem to have a positive approach on items and seem to recognize that there are indeed quality of workmanship items that do need to be addressed and have started that process. Again, we are thrilled to be in our new house (our Home), however, it was a very difficult, long and emotional process that no home owner should ever have to go through with a reputable builder such as Pulte. Pulte “Sr Mgmt” failed to step in to drive schedules to get back on track and never once did we here a sincere apology or a sorry for the continued delays and poor quality workmanship. It simply seems Pulte Sr Mgmt are disconnected from the Glenmore Development and perhaps they are the ones that should spend some time with the buyers/customers to understand what has happen with this Glenmore Pulte division. Great buying experience, good communication throughout the process

Our experience has been Pulte has a communication problem. I have had to send multiple emails/texts concerning items to be fixed before getting an acknowledgment or response, there are some items Pulte has yet to respond to. I understand some things are not quick fixes, but some indication my concerns were heard and are being considered would be nice. They were very slow in passing back information during the build; it took several weeks of requests just to find out who our Construction Manager was. The home is nice we enjoy it immensely but Pulte could do better in the area of communicating back to the customer. ... More
