We love our new home however I think that there were some corners that were cut that gave us the impression that is less then expected. For instance, unfinished walls that aren't covering electrical wiring in the garage, the storage area and the furnace area. For the cost of a few pieces of dry wall this would not have given the appearance of cost cutting. Clean up also seemed to be an after-thought.

We love our new home and definitely feel like it is a beautiful, quality build. However, as soon as we moved in we began noticing area after area that needed small repairs and touch-ups, mainly cosmetic. We are currently working with the warranty department to fix over 2 dozen things. Most (not all) of the problems are only cosmetic, but they have left us frustrated and feeling as if the subcontractors (particularly the painters) were not properly supervised. For example, the ceiling/wall paint edging needs to be redone throughout almost the entire home because it is uneven and sloppy, there are holes in the stucco left from the scaffolding, and the landscapers got rocks in the sewer line (causing it to back up and spill sewage into our garage from the tankless water heater drain). The warranty department has been extremely helpful and responsive, but we are still left with a situation in which we need to miss work for at least several days in order to have 9 different subcontractors come and fix the various problems. We would have much preferred to have had the closing pushed back a few days rather than to be dealing with this hassle now because they rushed so much at the end and made mistakes that weren't obvious during our final walk-through. It's disappointing that such a nice home had such ridiculous superficial mistakes made, and so many of them. To be honest, it has us wondering if other, less visually obvious mistakes were made as well. Time will tell, and hopefully the warranty department will continue to be as wonderfully responsive. ... 1) Major problems with the elevator in building 5. 2) Unhappy with paint or plaster that dropped on many areas of our carpet. Unable to remove without damaging the carpet. 3) Not happy with the management company so far. Don't feel like we are getting the support and communication that we need. There are only 2 buildings built. Concerned for the future when there are 9 buildings. 4) Not sure the delay in setting up recycling bins. No communication.

Everyone that we've dealt, at Ashwood Crossing Naperville, with has been helpful, timely, available and easy to work with.

Choice of hanging lights or being left out should be buyers. This was a rediculous additional cost to have yours taken down and donated and paying to have new ones put up. Dimmer lights should be an option. Again additional cost to the buyer. More center island outlets needed We are not first time buyers and have a home at the beach and mountains plus 2 rentals.

Overall it’s good, but some part of the work did not finish or have some issues.

For the most part, the workmanship, finishes and quality of materials are good. The customer service rep has also been generally good with follow-up. Our main concerns are with exterior factors. Garage front aprons to the narrow streets are almost non-existent (extremely short). The same goes for guest street parking - not nearly enough. Lighting at the walkways - also mostly non-existent. This makes it difficult for guests and deliveries to find our place - even dangerous. There is a small light fixture over each garage door, but less than half of them are on at night, leaving the streets fairly dark. ... More

I was quite pleased with my home. The overall building process was smooth and transparent. Like most new homeowners I do worry about how quickly additional homes will be added to the community and if I overpaid with the current trends of the market. I do recommend taking the walk through with your project manager seriously and noting ALL problems prior to close. Unfortunately, they chose a horrible and unresponsive AC contractor. They have missed appointments, ignored calls and at times been downright rude. They also installed the AC improperly. Pulte is quite responsive but outside of calling the contractor there is really nothing more that they can do. ... More

Happy with process and home

Great houses, great materials, and an exceptional warranty.

Excellent responsiveness to consumer’s after-purchase problems or needs.

The biggest disappointment has probably been the paint. We closed on October 23rd and we've already seen areas where the paint is chipped, wasn't applied thoroughly or wasn't taken all the way to the corners. While I understand it's not high quality paint, I personally expected a better paint for the sizable investment we made with Pulte. We will now have to hire someone to fix these issues which we felt should have been done in the first place. I would also add we have a few areas in the floors that have been pushed up. We bought our new Pulte home in August 2019. Sales and construction kept in close touch throughout the process. We expected some delay in the close date, but it ended up being delayed a total of 6 weeks. After moving in, it took three months for a few last issues to be resolved (things like replacing a door, staining the fence, wiring external outlets, etc). Although the process was a little longer and more annoying than we'd expected, ultimately we are very satisfied with our new home. The house itself is lovely and very well constructed. I would definitely consider Pulte again in the future.

This is our second new home build (1997 and 2019). We built an "Ascend" model home with Pulte and moved into our new home in early October. The construction and layout are awesome. Pulte has taken convenience into consideration in their home designs. The upgrades are a bit pricy from our taste but have been well worth it.

I have only been in for 2 months, but everything so far has been great.

Overall good experience and a well crafted home, however, the follow up on the inevitable punch list is frustrating and diminishes the joy of new home ownership.

when i decide to up great some finish items,I end up paying three times more what its worth,It should not be like this!! also guest bathroom finished very poor.

make sure that final punch is done at least one week in advance of your closing date.

The overall experience was positive and we are very happy with the home. There were a few minor problems along the way but they were responsive and corrected those timely. I think the house was a bit overpriced in the neighborhood but it was a seller's market and we got top dollar for our old house as well so you cannot have it both ways (sell high, buy low). The cleaning prior to move in left a little to be desired. There were (and still are) pencil marks on the floor from the carpenters and we are still cleaning those as we find them. Overall good experience, our issues have been fixed in a timely manner. Sales team was awesome

Only minor issues have been found so far (screws not fully screwed in, bent drawer tracks). Overall very happy with the home and excited to raise a family here.

Overall we are happy with the home. Purchased mainly because of the location. Have purchased Pulte homes before in other states and were surprised at the difference. As I said, overall happy but there is room for improvement.
