The overall process with the sales agent, construction manager and financing was very good. The fit and finish was average. We are very particular about fit and finish so we maybe overcritical but with the cost of the home we would expect a higher quality. We would still recommend Pulte.

Garage floor cement is not right

My garage floor, as I've learned, was poured quickly and worked just as quickly as it was drying too fast. The office staff that came out clearly had no idea about concrete other than what they learned in training class, but assured me it was normal for it to look as strange as it does. There are chips and small holes in it as well, but nobody followed up after they came out to placate me in person. Pretty smooth process for buying. We bought another persons house who backed out so I can’t speak to the materials selection process. We had to move our closing date back a day because final inspections weren’t done, which was stressful coordinating a cross country move. Then we had a plumbing issue on night one with water coming out of a ceiling vent but they were there the next day to help fix it. We’ve been in the house just over two months and have noticed some issues with quality.

Good Overall, but Lacking in Final Touches

During the walkthrough, the builders mentioned they would return to seal and buff the seam on the countertops in the owner's bathroom, which remains an eyesore—but that follow-up never occurred. Additionally, there are noticeable inconsistencies in the paint finish, with some door frames showing mismatched areas where gloss paint was used instead of semi-gloss, affecting the overall appearance. The buying process was great!

Overall, I could tell that high-quality materials were used throughout the home. I also appreciated the prompt responses to any questions or service requests. However, the quality of workmanship by some of the contractors left much to be desired, as there were several areas where the execution was lacking. Our building manager, Don H, was very responsive. He addressed our issues in timely manner. Our sales person did use the sales tactics and said prices are going up "next week." Eight months later, I saw that the price remained the same. I am disappointed.

I must say, we have only been there 2 months, so it may be too soon to rate it. We would know more in 11 months. We had a good experience through out the build. But I am truly disappointed, rather, upset by how the final presentation was given. I had asked 2-3 times if they will clean the house before we move in and it was overwhelmingly a disappointment. Yes, the house was cleaned but not well enough. After a clean, workers would come back with dirty shoes and track the dirt through out the house. We started this in June and moved in January, and the entire process was seamless. Our complaints are with the trades. There are so many oops in our home that need to be fixed that we feel bad for the project manager. We have baseboards with dents and door frames with notches that clearly should have never passed final inspection. We have walls that had indents that the painters completely missed. Experience was great. However, after moving in the house began having issues that were easy to resolve. Alot of cracking in the walls began and the house was 1 month old. The garage had alot of imperfections such as just tears from were they cut, as if it the workers didn't care. The bathroom door everytime we shower it leaks out since the seal was place all across instead it was just halfway. Only thing I recommend buyers is to take your time during the walkthrough. Don't feel rushed because they are trying to just get it out of the way asap.

During the final walkthrough, I reported several issues, including dirt marks on windows, marks on the walls, and the need for repainting. However, most of these issues remain unaddressed after closing. It has been very difficult to communicate these concerns with support again.

Happy to see the quality of the construction and as per the initial design discussed. The construction manager was great and walked through in detail. Working with the Mortgage was also a good experience and easier process to closing. There should be lights installed in every room which makes things easier and don't have to go with contractors to install.
