For the price I paid, the attention to detail of the finishes, paint, cabinetry and trim work was completely sub par. I would expect a much better job pertaining to the finished details of the house. Honestly, I’m disappointed to the point where I don’t “love” my house as much as I would like to.

Overall, we are pretty happy with our home purchase with Pulte. I think this builder overall had a lot of great floor plan options, the design center experience was super thorough and the designer was very helpful, the home was done within the estimated window, and after closing they have been super responsive to any repairs/fixes thoroughly honoring the warranty. We also had some challenges though such as a lack of communication throughout the build; we had to initiate a lot to find out the status or what to expect next in the process. On closing day there was no communication between Pulte mortgage and Pulte builder, which almost pushed back our ability to get our keys and was extremely stressful. The biggest pain point since closing has been the clear lack of detail to a lot of the aesthetic stuff such as paint/texture mishaps, poor cabinet install resulting in replacements needed, poor backsplash install, etc.; all of these requiring several follow up appointments for repairs. The team managing these is very responsive and doing a great job, but it's annoying to move into our brand new home and have so much detail to fix. My husband & I wanted to be closer to granddaughter & family and to downsize. So far like the location and the Oak Forest Manor community. I think we will be happy here.

The mortgage department was the worst thing i have ever dealt with

I was very excited about building this home because I knew it would be our forever home. I have had 4 other homes, 3 of which we had built. I have never felt so frustrated about this process. The carelessness in workmanship has been so disappointing. Thankfully, we have ended up with a nice home but some changes really need to be made with this builder.

Our dream house turned into a nightmare process due to dishonesty, poor quality, and lack of planning on the part of Pulte.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this builder. Our experience was not only horrible, we are regretful. William, the property agent, was great at his job and pleasant but outside of him the experience was egregious. Jim in sales was just cruel. After we purchased the home Amanda became our POC and the support is inconsistent. Our plumbing backed up the 2nd day in the home so I was in sewer water in the shower, the sod was not put down correctly, the interior paint job was amateurish, part of the front of the house had to be repainted and all of this (and more) took 7 weeks to complete. We are still waiting to get the sod fix which probably won't happen. Please read the reviews and warnings on the Better Business Bureau website before purchasing a home with this builder. Great Mortgage experience, great construction team, especially Jennifer, our overseer of construction. I wasn't able to come to see the home as it was being built due to my husband being disabled, so Jennifer kept me posted all the way with Photos!

How did you feel about the entire process, from initial purchase to final move-in? The initial purchase was a great experience and we are very excited about the ground-up home. We have been given the option to go to the Pulte studio, where we have very less time to make up our mind, within 4 hours we have to decide what we needed as an upgrade to the house. However we were prepared for this activity and explored it by going to the Pulte online options, and we could complete the selection. But this activity is hectic and hard to decide on combinations of options in a 4-hour window. In my opinion, this activity should be a full day or spread across multiple days. We have monitored the progress of the house construction, and everything was good. The final review was completed and we have moved to home with few minor repairs. How would you describe the quality and value of your new home? The build quality was good, however, Pulte used contractors to install the furnace and A/C. They did not verify the heat balance and A/C, we had a struggle for the first month to balance the heat inside the home. The kitchen door handles were missed before closing, however, the team responded in time to fix them after the move. We have sprinklers installed at our home some of them are not working, and we have created a service request to make it fixed. The master bath shower head is very basic, we would expect a good one when we are buying the home at a higher price. What to improve: - Please verify the quality when you are working with contractors. - Please focus on things like shower heads, and grout sealing for a better experience. - Please check all of the upgrades are installed before the closing. Overall we were very satisfied with the Pulte experience. I appreciate how the Pulte realtor and GC stayed in touch with us every week to share progress, and allow us to provide feedback. Any feedback would be addressed, discussed and corrected. Although the plans are designed by Pulte, they allow so much customization on additions, decks, in-law suites, basements , materials - my home feels more than semi-custom made! After closing we had some issues that popped up and the Pulte warrantee team went into action immediately with their vendors to get everything corrected - and they followed up to make sure we were happy. My title says it all. Cookie cutter homes and less than cookie cutter service.

Communication from Pulte needs lot to be deserved. No indication on dates / delays and hiding behind statement indicating per Pulte Policy is not right and needs to be addressed. Delays happen but Pulte needs to be pro-active and inform Customers of the same, very disappointed with lack of updates/communication from Pulte

Very good experience with Pulte Homes. They walked me through the process all the way, always available to answer my questions. The build quality is very good.

Great experience overall. The construction manager is friendly and professional.

We have a beautiful home, but feel like the materials used were cheap. Main issues is how cheap the drywall feels. Things seemed to done at a rushed pace. Our deck has a ton of nails already sticking thru wood leaving a danger to our kid is. I feel like we have basement that we can’t use due to how much moisture I am still drawing out on a daily basis. Frustrated with the fight to have Pulte bury the bury they connected to our pump. We do love our home, we are just concerned with longevity of the house.

Building a house amidst a pandemic was challenging but the house I just moved into is lovely and my construction manager and sales person were wonderful.

Slow responses to reported issues after closure .

I am currently living in a Pulte home and yes the house is standing but their are so many small details that I am still trying to work with Pulte to fix. My experience with Pulte has been a nightmare. The absence and lack of communication seems to be consistent amongst all levels and teams at Pulte. After the initial deposit, I spent 3 to 4 months figuring out the difference between what the Pulte sellers agent told us about the home we were buying vs what we were actually getting. After we overcame that obstacle, we had to deal with Pulte consistently telling us our home was on track to close with no problems or delays for the dates they presented only to be delayed multiple times. The house was ultimately delayed multiple months with us the buyers receiving notice sometimes 3 days before our estimated close date. The Pulte team ultimately NEVER blamed their ability to plan or their operations, but instead continued to blame someone else. Truly telling. My loan officer said she has never experienced this type of lack of customer service in her 30+ years in the industry. Also it never got better... the day of escrow, Pulte waited until 8PM to communicate that they are sending their required documents to title. Obviously we could not close that day, but we could not close the next day either because Pulte did not sign the documents correctly. You would think that would be the end, but after we got the keys to our home we go in to see our home was not complete. The final FINAL blue tape inspection had already been complete yet nothing was fixed or updated. Why waste our time coming in 3 times and confirming what needs to be fixed if you are just going to ignore everything. What is worse is that there was zero communication from the Pulte team that this was happening. We actually had to call the Pulte team and ask and schedule when they are suppose to come fix all the outstanding items. Spoke to all my neighbors and everyone's experience seems to be consistent with mine. At least we all shared in the misery. ... More

I am convinced that the left hand is not talking to the right hand. It that were the case this survey never would have found it's way to my mailbox. The folks you have handling warranty repairs left lots to be desired but the biggest issue is/was a water leak in my home even before I made my 1st payment. The response was laughable as the leak went unmitigated for a minimum of 3 Days. I am considering legal action as I can only imagine what happens down the road as a result of this water leak. This is the tip of the iceberg and the lack of Pulte being receptive is a poor way to conduct business. ... More

it was fine. sales experience was bad, but building manager and designer were good. for a huge national company there were a lot of issues that should've been figured out

Model home are perfect and the house you will not have the same quality.
