My 'holistic' experience was excellent from start to finish. I'd recommend Pulte to anyone looking to build in a new builder community environment. My home is lovely and as close to perfect as one can be in these days of 'fast' build. My critique of the process was the inability to 'personalize' certain elements, e.g., punch a hole in a wall during the construction process (as opposed to having to wait until post finish) and to manage the installation of height-driven items, e.g., shelving placement. For example, the standard height for their clothing shelves are quite high for a short person to reach. Overall, Pulte builds a good to very good home. Attention to details by the homeowner as the home is under construction is important. Workmanship needed to be followed up on during the process and addressed. Most items should have been identified, and corrected, by the builder not the home owner.

Pulte subcontracts its work. Some of the craftsmanship is of great quality, others I wouldn’t mind gutting and starting over. Remember Pulte mass produces these homes - some of the work is rushed and it is evident. Once work is complete, they will not remove and start over. They will simply put a bandaid on it. Recommend buyer stopping by the home frequently. Highly recommend making two design appointments. We felt rushed through that portion of the process. Staff is kind and provides timely responses. Ask questions especially at the design appointment.

Loved working with Adam our Sales Rep. Never had an issue contacting him. Getting issues fixed very slow. If this team operated like your sales team no one could beat the Pulte.

The timing of the home building was great

I wish they would not rush closing and complete homes on time fully. Many items left unfinished and rushed through

Overall Pulte home built good houses, great design to maximum the space.

The virtual purchasing experience was quick and painless. It helped that the home consultant actually lives in the neighborhood and can give honest feedback about Pulte and the ins-and-outs of the new community. We liked the virtual design center appointment too as it was easier for us to narrow down on our picks and not spend on other things we would have seen if at the center in person. The build process was fast however even though we were told the house would be done by mid-November, this doesn’t mean the whole house, just that it was structurally sound. The house was still being worked on even post-closing. Warranty has been responsive but we definitely recommend that home buyers do not close until even the aesthetically flawed items are fixed if time isn’t an issue. The exterior of the house is nice however the workmanship could improve in the interior. We found the inside of one of our linen closets with an incomplete paint job - as if they were hastily painting to just get it done. I just so happened to notice that the walls facing inward were haphazardly painted with lots of exposed drywall still. A painter was sent quickly after I let the field manager know. We paid extra for hardware in our kitchen and almost all the doors and hardware were misaligned. This took over a month to fix and oddly enough, the cabinet technician that was sent to align our cabinetry did not have a level or a ladder. Luckily, we had these items and just let him use ours. There was a crack on our entranceway tile and we were scheduled a month out for the repair. Once the tile technician came out, he looked at the leftover tile Pulte left for us and informed us that Pulte failed to provide the 17x17 tile so now a box has to be ordered for us and we are going to be scheduled out yet another month. Our front and back yard had nails and trash on it when we moved in after closing. Brown sod was delivered and installed. We noticed afterwards that other houses on our block had their front yards raked and pretty much debris/trash free before sod install and the sod that was delivered to them was still green. FYI warranty doesn’t cover sod. There was a gap under our front door that let bugs in and messed with our insulation -which also took about a month to fix. Overall, the field manager was responsive 30 days post-closing and the warranty officer has also been responsive and easy to communicate with. We’re also glad that we only pre-plumbed for a water softener and then got our water softener system directly from the vendor because it was considerably cheaper than going through Pulte. Same with our security system. We opted to have them put in a panel for us near our Pulte Planning Center for fiber internet and stuff (total waste of money) however it was frustrating that the panel is useless and both our security and AT&T fiber had to drill elsewhere to be able to work. Be prepared to go around with a hammer to hammer down the nails in the carpet as all of us, including our toddler got our feet stubbed plenty of times. Also vacuum as soon as you can so that you can get all the staples, dust, dirt, and other stuff from the build. Having a home inspector is a regular part of any home buying process (regardless of existing or new construction) and ordinary. It would have been great for the Pulte field manager to work with our third party inspector directly. However, Pulte told us they do not interact with our third party inspector so we had to be the go-between. Considering on top of this, this is COVID times, Pulte should consider coordinating (as they strive for excellent customer service) and not leaving it to the homebuyer especially those like us coming from out of state. ... Things that the builder said they would complete by closing were not finished.

We love our home and are looking forward to making memories here!

It was easy considering buying in a pandemic.

Well kept and reasonably quiet.

Bruce Wilkins and Karen Richardson did a great job with us. Bruce did everything we asked of him and more! The mortgage group needs a little work. Seems like we were also providing the same information on applications. Pultie is so big that the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing.

I love pulte. This is my second home with them and plan on buying in the future. I do wish some of the trades people were evaluated as some rookie mistakes were made. In saying that, other vendors did remarkable work ( tile guy) I also stopped getting responses from my pm with open ended issues. (Plumbing and damage caused by Plumber) Other then that, I plan on building again. Your process is the golden standard and enjoy your product.

Build process was good, however several items were installed wrong by tile company and painters had a lot of paint overspray on items throughout house. Had to have Pulte replace all the carpets after we closed because of paint overspray on carpets. Have several other small issues but are currently 7 weeks after closing and cant get anyone to come to repair them.

overall was a good 3xperience, had to pay a ridiculous amount of money to postpone my closing due to contingency home contract fall apart, also the workmanship is not as good as other builders at least on the finishes and some structural, responsiveness to the issues I have is not good, still have issues and warranty request was put over a month now and nothing done

As of right now my 30 day to do list is still not completed from the contractor I was scheduled mid December and had very little work completed between the two days. Now rescheduled for January 22. Don’t know why I get pushed back a later date. Just completed it PULTE and I will give you all five stars. Rich has been awesome....

fast response but small issues at home

This is my third Pulte home. I would have liked to have seen more flexibility with choices and changes. For example, we wanted to make a change to the tile on top of our spa, after the home was started, and we were told no. The pool company was willing to make the change since it was started....but Pulte sales said no. Pulte needs to be more flexible and offer some higher quality upgrades.

The finishes in the home are beautiful. However, sometimes it feels like shortcuts were taken in other areas of the home in order to produce quantity over quality.

sales great, mortgage and insurance great. Working to complete the unfinished work a problem and some areas poor attention to detail.
