We loved working with each person assigned to us from the salesperson, and the supervisor(s) along the way. Extremely helpful during the process. Being our first new build, we've been a bit underwhelmed by the final product - poor paint job & drywall installation, messiness in cabinet installation, etc. Perhaps this is the norm for large tract home communities, but to us, the work in many areas has been mediocre, thus the 3 stars for quality. It's been an interesting and educational process, to say the least!

Handful of outstanding punch list items have yet to be completed, now going on 3 months. Expected better customer service for the price paid for our home.

Pulte builds okay homes. The floor plans are nice; but they take too many shortcuts and very minimal accountability. If you have a great field manager; that is a great thing. However, keep in mind that the field manager is incentivized to close on-time, regardless of quality. We had issues and still have issues. The same goes for a customer care manager; if you have a great customer care manager; rest back he/she will take care of it. If you have a customer care manager that is laxxed or has to many homes to take care of; you will be frustrated. Also, they swap people out constantly so you almost feel as your starting over again. We had issues with loose ballusters, air coming in from the outside thru baseboards, water coming in from door, wavy floors, you name it. They will take care of your issues but be careful on the floors... even if they're wavy they may not fix and you have to go back and forth with your own equipment to prove its out of spec. All in all, be prepared to become your own quality control and have the equipment to show why its out of spec. ... More

Overall it was ok. I didn't get enough time to shop for mortgage. Pulte rushed to close the house even though they were not ready to close. At the time of closing things were pending.

their field manager is super friendly and try to offer help for everything they know. However, the sales promised to refund $500 for replacement of microwave, however, the house closed more than 3 mont, still not receive it, asked couple of times to their sales, either no response or no helpful information.

There are dozens of fit, finish and trim issues. We have been so patient and understanding with our reps, its not their fault, and I am sure they are overwhelmed. But for a $600k house, the workmanship is really terrible. Nothing big (so far) but paint, trim, etc. Oh, and the installers drilled through a main waste line putting in shelves. And the site wasnt cleaned up before closing, or since

We experienced some delays at the beginning of the process, but Pulte brought in an awesome manager to help close out the process and we immediately saw the pace pick up and the communication improve greatly. Overall we are really happy with our new home.

Wow! Upon receiving possession of our new home we discovered stains in our new granite sink and on our very expensive new floors. Upon request to evaluate, we received insinuations that the issues were caused by us even though we had not even moved into the home. Also, poor workmanship was highlighted upon replacement of front door bell and once again we were told they weren't responsible even though the stucco was not completed correctly under doorbell they installed and the stucco was falling off. Sad.

This is probably the worst company I have ever worked with. They don't seem to communicate across the multiple divisions within the company at all. We had to beg and call repeatedly to get updates and then had our closing date moved out 2 weeks 3 days prior to closing. The quality seems okay, but we found leaks prior to closing and they left us a present of drywall frozen to our garage floor on closing day (why someone would pressure wash a garage on a 20 degree day is beyond me). What was supposed to be a great experience turned quickly into a stressful nightmare. We were hours away from living in a hotel with all our belongings in a Uhaul thanks to Pulte. They chose not to allow us to move our stuff in despite signing the closing and a temporary Certificate of Occupancy. We still do not have an oven and it seems like we are going to have to buy our own and eat the cost because Pulte doesn't know what is going on. I have done business with some bad companies over the years, Pulte is now in the bottom spot. I will never recommend this company to anyone, nor purchase another home from them in the future. ... Lots of choices, clearly experience builder. They'll lead you through the whole process

Am giving a 3 of 5 star to most categories primarily because of workmanship and materials. Soundproofing in the living room is inadequate; human and TV voices can be heard. Flat wall paint used in kitchen and baths instead of semi-gloss. Floorboards with chips were used instead of being discarded. Cement board siding has spots of gloss paint on it. Framing of the panty door wall is crooked. Heating and cooling design seems haphazard. Electric wall heaters on first floor have to be run most of the time in cold weather. Heat rising from the 2nd floor mini-split makes wall heaters in 3rd floor bath and bedrooms unnecessary. However, floor plan is more functional and esthetically pleasing than other similar townhouses on the market. ... More

Love the house, but seems there was a rush to get house finalized. Finding many issues and for whatever the reason, follow up is not what I expected from the builder. Two months in and still waiting on things to be done, some since initial walk through in January

Do NOT build with Pulte Homes. Their quality of work is horrific and there response to ANY issues you come across is VERY slow if not completely ignored.

Lots of issues in my new home, lots of promises to rectify those issues went unfinished even after more than one attempt to fix. If they didn’t cut corners the first or second time, they wouldn’t have to come back out for a third (or more) time. They’re slapping together these townhomes at a phenomenal speed, but it shows in the finish. Everything is solid and well built, but the details are shoddy. While I wouldn’t change where I bought, I would definitely have stuck my neck out more at closing if I knew I’d still have 90% of my punch list outstanding 2 months after closing.

Painting was not done properly don’t look like s as new house Stones on the fire place falling apart Electric outlets not working Concrete pavement infront of the house not done properly I was told at closing that pressure wash will be done and they would clean all the leaves accumulated in the back, it was never done I had to do it myself by spending $500

In the midst of the virus, we understood there would be delays and we were in no rush. We expected a home that was move in ready and that we would find few issues. We were very disappointed to find a lack of professional craftmanship, lack of attention to detail and low quality of materials used (paint, windows, cabinets). The home was far from acceptable when they scheduled the final walkthrough and we delayed the closing. After the rushed closing, we had the entire inside of the home repainted because the flat paint could not be touched without leaving marks. After more than a month, we still have issues with the windows, sliding glass door and screen, cabinets and bathroom sink/counter top. Pulte has set up a customer service process to address the issues, but it is very disruptive to our lives when we have to wait for the repair people to come and sometimes they never show and have to be rescheduled. We really like the location and floorplan of our home, but feel Pulte could have managed the process better and followed through with the quality build we expected. ... More

Good and provides updates

It was very good experience throughout the home buying process. As a first time homebuyer, I was little nervous about it, but it was very smooth process

We absolutely love our home, but there a still a few issues that still have to be fixed.

Promised times/dates provided by Pulte were NEVER updated. It was only until we showed up on site that we were informed on numerous occasions. Closing date was cemented, Pulte Mortgage asked us to wire our Escrow funds, and we ended our apartment lease. We didn't receive a call for closing location, so we called... and only then was informed the day prior closing needed to be moved. We could not stay in the apartment longer so we had NO WHERE to stay. We had to move to a hotel with our personal belongings moved to a storage unit. Sales, mortgage and construction not communicating with each other and when concerns were presented, we were instructed with again, false info or told to wait... but then it's too late. In addition, since move in, on-going repairs being made as botched installs are rampant. Scratched glass, paint splatter, new carpet installation was done prior to workers finishing, carpet had large amounts of dirt. Literally DIRT! Caulking missing in areas, plumbing leaks. Pulte is focused on you turning and burning rather than doing it right the first time. Cashing in on the high demand during pandemic. ... More

Our construction manager James is a real trooper. He’s had to deal with supply chain and work force issues and has done very well. I will say though that the timeline of completion made it impossible for him to get the house up to the standard that we expected. While there are many minor issues like poor drywall, paint, hardware alignment, we still have items that are simply incomplete. No screen door, unpainted/finished items, fit and finish issues. I will say that James has made an effort though. He needs assistance from his management. The house functions without major issue at the time of writing this. We were okay with the process until the long brick delay. We got told the same thing every time, the brick is delayed. We are pushing back close a week, finally when I spoke up that I was displeased it seemed to light a fire under them and a couple weeks later we got some progress. Also, when we did our final walk through we had several things that were not corrected and several items new that we found. We were basically told if this list keeps going we wouldn't close.
