Had nice experience with little problems related to quality of construction process. Where works damaged couple of items.

I have to pay $70.k above the asking price. The option that came with the house is way subpar to my opinion. The cost of the upgrade is marked up at 200% to think Pulte is getting these materials at wholesale. The selection is not enough. The person who was assigned to help me with the design was not clear on some items. Example i was never told about the cabinet can be butted up the ceiling at a cost. The layout of the chef kitchen the trash received is far from the sink. By the way the upgrades are not even good upgrades with the price being charge. Overall I'm gonna say it was very positive and that I like the experience and the home. HOWEVER, architecturally I am very upset with where they placed the water tank and the fact that it takes over 5 minutes to get hot water through the tap in the bedroom and in the kitchen. I think that is unacceptable. They say a "tankless" is an upgrade but I disagree - I hate it. I am thinking about hiring a plumber to put in a regular water heater in my master closet so I can have hot water as soon as I turn on the faucet. I am very livid about this.

Overall quality was good. Seemed to be in a hurry to get the closing done by the end of the month. Some sloppy work especially the painting and cleaning before occupancy.

Great experience. Especially Sales person Alex was so supportive and responsive.

Builder Rafael was great and very responsive. He heed to our every complain or issue during construction process

Home not near complete at closing. Poor quality, poor service, regrettable experience. Pulte can do much, much better.

This has been the most frustrating home buying experience ever. The mortgage people were not responsive and the day before we were to close we didn't know if we even had a mortgage. On the day we were supposed to get our keys we were told we weren't going to be able to move in because the gas wasn't installed. We still have many issues that need to be resolved. Too many to mention here. I've emailed the warranty company 2 weeks ago and still haven't received a response.

The house is beautiful, but overall there are a lot of quality issues like VERY uneven drywall, broken windows, & builder errors that still haven’t been fixed even a month after closing. It seems that the urgency was more on getting homes up than focusing on quality. For the price paid and no basement, I expected higher quality and more urgency.

Good experience with the process and details

Pulte will tell you that they struggle to get good contractors due to a nearly 3 year old pandemic. In my opinion I would have rather my house take an extra 6 months to build and have the quality you used to see in a Pulte home. Walls are bowed, trim work is sub par, things are out of plum... there are so many small things that it turns into a big thing. Their base price just keeps going up but the quality keeps declining. When an issue is seen during a walk through they take the easiest route to get it fixed. If you have multiple cracks or poor workmanship on your porch or patio, instead of re-doing it the right way, they choose to just cover it with Ardex so you can still see all the cracks or imperfections. It is just sad to pay nearly half a million dollars on a house to have so many little imperfections. This is the 4th home that my wife and I have gone through this process but our first time with Pulte. I had much higher quality on the finishing touches in a $300K home than I currently have in this home. ... More

The Pulte team made my buying experience a great one. Very organized and I feel they listened to my needs and wants. Love my home.

Very easy process to submit tickets for issues after closing and response time is quick

I thought about my response for a while. I took time to settle into my home before writing the review. Overall, I believe that either Pulte used subpar workers or workers that did not respect the population for which the homes were built. The shortcuts in the units are apparent, from the nails sticking out of the carpet (my daughter, my dog, and I have stepped on the nails; they puncture the skin), the shotty trim that meets the flooring, the air filters are filled with dust from construction, the extra holes and bulging spackle on the sheetrock that show through the paint. The horrible paint job and the hassle of trying to get through the punch list. Every neighbor that I have met has expressed similar concerns. Also, the property is filled with debris, old furniture around the trash bins, and garbage that missed the trash has been in the same place since I moved in early February. I plan to reach out to the homeowners association however, it is apparent that the grounds are not being monitored, or again, the person in charge does not care. I am happy to be a homeowner but disappointed in the attention to detail. Regardless of the home being an affordable housing unit, this is still a big ticket purchase. ... More

We love our home, but wish some of the loose ends were being tied up quicker. Obviously the exterior has to wait for warmer weather, but the response time for some of the fixes has been slow. Perhaps not Pulte's fault directly, but still an inconvenience.

The whole experience from selecting our home to the finished product was excellent. Follow up however on defects has been challenging.

Nothing that stands out that can be shared with other buyers

Slow building process at first. The initial construction manager was not giving updates on progress regularly as he was supposed to. Then as the building process pick up, there were some areas that were overlooked (like the kitchen range did not vent outside like it was supposed to until we said something, the outside windows were not completed). Then we felt a sense of being rushed to closing. Our kitchen appliances were not available prior to closing and we had to have temporary appliances that were supposed to be similar in quality and grade to our chosen appliances. This was not the case for our stove which is not functioning to our satisfaction to this date. It has been 6 weeks since our closing. We requested alternate stove but did not get a response. The more recent construction manager was very responsive initially to our requests to fix certain items prior to closing but since closing, he has not been as responsive in keeping us updated on the status of when our kitchen appliances will arrive. We still have areas outside the house that need to be fixed but still waiting on weather warming up. I hope Pulte will keep their word and do a better job with finishing the job. ... More

The Sales People need to care more about their customers and treat them with respect. Our Building Manager was Great he always put our needs first more employees should be like him.

Building a new home is always tough. That said, for the vast majority of the build with Pulte was great. And so far, the warranty work has been handled quickly and very professionally.

Follow up on issues not addressed at time of closing has been very poor. Responsiveness by phone and email has likewise been poor. HVAC was not connected when we closed and neither was the kitchen sink, dishwasher or disposal. Cabinets were misaligned at time of closing and still have not been corrected. What started as an outstanding process has finished very poorly. At this point, I could not recommend Pulte as a builder.

process went smooth from sign the date to move-in. Builder is very responsive.
