If I could change something it would be the elevation and house selection which was rushed and not explained at all. Explanation about structural add ons to the house was poor and lot appearance features like height and elevation not explained. I had no idea the about the details like shingles, garage door appearance etc. Craftsmanship and, closing has overall been good.

Overall, we had a good experience. However, they push for closing ASAP, resulting in having to close with a punch list. Once you close, it takes a lot of pushing from you to get things done.

The builder is always in a hurry to close the home. There are few aesthetics that are not finished properly. If they had taken time, they would probably had done a clean job. I still have blue tape issues after closing and I'm probably going to have them done myself.

Our experience with Pulte Homes was a mixed bag, as there were positives and negatives. The construction of the home and quality of workmanship were positive. The support we received as customers along the way was not. We had to ask questions repeatedly to get responses. When we made simple requests we often received passive aggressive answers and countless excuses from Gail, who was supposed to be an advocate for us. Our Pulte Closing Coordinator treated our title company and agent in a very negative and condescending way, which was upsetting. After closing when we drove over 30 minutes to pick up our keys, we were treated with skepticism instead of welcomed as new buyers who had already paid our down payment. Our customer care manager was kind at the pre-orientation walk through, but then transitioned to being short with us and "putting us in our place" - we feel far from supported. In a world where customer is king, we feel this experience has been underwhelming to say the least. can only speak from the off the shelf lens. Some painting touch ups missed. Some cabinets, appliances not ready. Team forgot to punch out my water drain - so water in the house first week here. Team is slowly correcting. In my experience, things were missed. I really wanted turn key and easy for new build - we were close, but not all the way there.. This was also the slowest closing of my life (2 hours - because the names were wrong on most of the paperwork) and pulte has already sold the mortgage (totally normal but someone from pulte made a 10 minute conversation on how that wouldn't happen for 90 days; it happened in weeks). ... The onsite sales team were great to work with - very professional and helpful. They exemplify a brand of excellence. Kudos to the onsite sales team ! I cannot say the same with the construction side. My home was originally scheduled to close in June and eventually it closed near the end of September. I understood this was due to the sliding glass door and window parts being fabricated outside the USA as well as some issues with the distributor resulting in Pulte not being able to obtain the parts to finish the job as originally scheduled. It is also my opinion that the windows and sliding doors are not the best quality that could have been used. Pulte scheduled the closing while there were still issues to be resolved such as bedroom windows that could not be locked, and window frame closure strips and screens were not installed prior to closing. During the walk through several windows broke upon opening them and they had to be repaired. The ceramic wall tile in the guest shower was improperly installed where the ceramic tile window sill was installed "above" the aluminum window sill making it impossible for the aluminum closure strips for the windows to be installed. This will require the shower tile to be cut out so that a new corian sill can be installed to be below the aluminum window sill - all of this I have to deal with after I had already moved in. In addition my home inspector noted an electrical safety issue with exposed wires on the motor for the garage door opener which still has not been covered. When I pointed out the exposed electrical wire to Pulte's onsite construction manager, he responded "they are all like that and that is how it is." My home took 4 months longer than the original estimate, and almost 8 months longer than homes the same builder built in another community. We had to inspect the house almost weekly to bring issues to the attention of the construction manager or they wouldn't be resolved. And despite that, it has taken several months to resolve all of the issues. And these aren't small issues either. It feels as though they're building them as fast as they can, forgetting to compare to plans, and then expecting the owner/warranty to fix issues after the sale. I don't appreciate it.

The house looks good and it is beautiful. I just wish they would take the time to finish things right. Some walls are smooth, others aren’t. Minor details are missing here and there and it takes a while for them to get fixed. Were it not for those things, it would be five stars all around. The employees must be overwhelmed. So, either Pulte should slow down and focus on quality, or higher more people.

Be sure to put everything in black and white when you're negotiating the deal with Pulte. We were promised with small a upgrade by the sales rep but it never happened by closing, no explaination, no responds. Also I recommend hiring a third party home inspector to do a pre walk through inspection, it will save you a lot of time spotting items to repair.

For what we paid for the house, was expecting better finish quality. The lawn is not in great shape, one of the kitchen cabinet doors broke within the first month, the trim work is not neat, the master bath took 3 attempts to get the tile fixed and it is still mediocre, etc.

Our second Pulte home so we’ve been through this before. The sales and closing occurred nearly 12 months apart so plenty of time for us to become foggy on our choices and decisions. Everything turned out to fairly well. Reviews during construction seemed rushed and did not permit us to realize the corners that Pulte now cuts to keep costs down. The garage is only rough finished with fire tape. There are no lights of any kind in any closets. Some closets are so squeezed as to be useless. The finishes are rough and amateurish in key areas such as the front porch and enameling of baseplates. The quality of materials and workmanship is disappointing given the pricing of these homes. You would think for the money, you would receive "upgraded" items compared to the other builders. Upgrades are ridiculously expensive and when you do upgrade, the workmanship is sloppy (trimming not aligned, sloppy caulking, paint on everything; the carpets, faucets, countertops, windows, just to name a few). When asked to have things fixed during the walk-through, it wasn't any better. We're better off fixing everything ourselves. On the flipside, our building supervisor was amazing! If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have known a lot of information that should have been told to us by our sales rep. Very responsive and very trustworthy. ... More

Buying our dream home was supposed to be a joyful journey, but it turned into a stressful rollercoaster ride. Our experience, riddled with ups and downs, left us feeling both disappointed and hopeful. From the outset, our initial excitement was dampened by a less-than-ideal interaction with our salesperson. Their lack of transparency and communication left us feeling like we were in the dark throughout the process. It was a stark contrast to our expectations, and we found ourselves questioning our decision. In fact we would question his character as many things he said turned out to be false. However, amidst the turmoil, a ray of hope emerged in the form of our construction managers. Their dedication and professionalism shone brightly, helping to alleviate some of our concerns. Their attention to detail and willingness to address our concerns gave us a glimmer of hope that our dream home might yet be realized. We find ourselves hoping for the best. Home was purchased more than a year ago and half ago, took a long time to build and felt that since we didn’t live in the area home was left unfinished for longer than it should have been. Virtual walk thru failed miserably and after moving company is slow to respond to questions about paint and some other issues we had. Love river hall but need more attention to customer service and care.

It was not an overwhelmingly bad, nor amazingly good either. It was an ok experience. They have a very technical approach for everything which takes human aspect away. When they were delayed with construction because they had challenges they were happy with me because I was kind to them and praised me. But when I was 3 days away from end of my rental and they were still not done with finishes I saw no humanity in them to come to me and tell me that we are pushing closing ahead. So it hurts to see that they enjoyed my kindness to them but were not willing to show that to me in return.

Robb and Garrett were very responsive and very helpful. We would recommend both of them. Corey was misleading and frustrating. We would not recommend Corey. Overall we are happy with the purchase. We still have open items after our purchase.

Please take your time when doing a final walkthrough and do not rush. If more time is needed please submit in writing for the time. I missed more things that needed fixed than I realized. I suggest Pulte Homes use a better product in their showers. When sitting on the Master bathroom bench be careful because once the product is wet, you will start sliding. I will be installing a hand rail and sitting on a towel to prevent any mishaps.

I have built five custom homes before our rowhome and I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the build and the lack of high quality products in our million dollar home.

My first time buying a home and we chose to build from the ground up. I wish in the beginning process I could have been informed on certain things before my signing.

The overall buying experience, while the house was under construction was, acceptable, however, a few days before the closing, during our final walk-through, we encountered issues with different items showing damage, for example, the Jack and Jill bathroom tub, it had a visible crack in the front, and our construction manager sent someone to patch it up, we requested to have a new tub installed, but our request was ignored. We do not want to have a tub that is patched up. We want a new tub, because we bought a brand new home! To date, we haven’t heard back from him after several messages, no intention to get back to us. Not a good experience, who likes to be ignored? He responded initially, that he tried to get access to the home, but the house was locked. After that we didn’t hear back from him anymore. We also reached out, because we got a letter from Cape fear water management that there were signs of a significant leak on the home, we were out of town at the time, so we reached out to him again, to see if he could send someone to inspect the property, but he did not respond to us at all! I would like if somebody could please get back to us and advise when the tub will be fixed, and also our kitchen ”hood”, as well as all the other touch ups that were not addressed. Thank you! The plan and the layout of the home is one of the best in the market. However, the quality control of the execution wasn’t upto the standard you’d expect in an expensive home such as this. Tthere were several issues identified during the final walk through that the closing had to be pushed by a couple of days. So many minor issues with paining, drywall, flooring, caulking etc. had to be attended to during the first few days after moving.

When we moved in two of the ceiling lights in the kitchen were not working. It took about 4 weeks to get the electrician out. He repaired them but said that the electrical wires were never hooked up. We have globs of dried paint hanging down from the roof outside our master bath windows. We have been waiting now for 2 months for someone to come and scrape it off. The dry walls have many unsightly slice marks and areas that need scraping and smoothing. The landscaping has been dying due to lack of water. The landscaper came out and replaced the dead plants and now a tree and 7 other plants are dead for lack of water. ... More

Overall, I am happy with the quality of the house. However, the customer service of the builder is very very low. They will promise you the world to get you to buy the house and to have you to write a good review, but will drop contact and won't address anything they should have fixed once it is done.

The construction process went well. The managers of the job communicate effectively and do a great job of keeping us apprised of what is happening. Things happened as they described. That said, the final product leaves a lot to be desired. The trim carpenters and painters are not very good. Some trim pieces they used were obviously damaged. The final painting of the home needs a ton of rework.

We had a great experience with our sales agent and love our lot and floor plan but have been disappointed in the finish and trim of the home. Several of our level 5 cabinets have been cracked, paint chipped, gouged, exposed nail ends under office counter, trim work and paint is sloppy, very expensive hardwood floors are cracking and peeling. Warranty work has been very responsive and we hope to rectify the issues. We would not recommend choosing hardwood floors with Pulte, they were very expensive and despite controlling the humidity, only sweeping and damp cloth on any marks, we continue to see cracking and peeling, ...
