I was pretty excited for this house, but as time past and I saw how it was being built, that feeling of 'this is a perfect home' faded. Don't get me wrong, the quality of the pieces of the home feel good (flooring is great, hardware is good when it's not painted over, and overall layout is perfect) but the workmanship involved in putting it all together seemed sub par and rushed. This is the second home over purchased and the cost this time was significantly more, so my expectations were equally as high. In terms of the structural quality, I have no doubts it's solid. In terms of the drywall and after work, I'm not as pleased. One of the major issues was the house was painted incorrectly and went unnoticed until I said something. This led to hardware outside the home being painted around which effects the finished look. On top of that, the weeks before closing had a hard freeze and nearly all the landscaping died. I made the report immediately as the house looked awful. It's been about a month and a half with no fix or follow up. For as much as we paid for this home, I felt the list of issues post closing is too lengthy. The rate at which the issues are currently being addressed is still to be determined. I'm sure everything will be fixed in the end, but knowing that I have to do the work to get everything fixed (report obvious issues and have to schedule getting them fixed around my schedule) because the workmanship was poor in the beginning is a bit disheartening. ... Good service and design but the quality of workmanship is not very satisfying. Many times I want to repaint. Not sure about the materials but it has strong smells after one month

Frankly, I had expected a higher quality of workmanship and quality of details. The washer and dryer were contractor quality and not large enough to was a set of king sheets. This is only one example. Secondly, I am waiting for an item to be installed that I had contracted for which was included in the sale price. I love thé floor plan and the amount of light. The staff is very helpful. I cannot speak more highly about the management company and how quickly they respond to residents.

Check over everything closely. The contractors do average work and will try and hide their mistakes.

All in all this experience I was looking forward to share from start to finish with my family. It was great and although very stressful at times I do have to say that this is a quality home. However my finally walk through we outlined a few things of which never got closure too yet and hope that they do. For instance the cabinets, contractor tried to fix a door hinge with a sliver of wood and it is causing more damage, same contractor and fridge still doesn’t fit due to adjacent wall not plumb, I advised no more bandaids. No shower curtain rod for one bathroom. Fridge cabinet area off cannot fit fridge in. Bathroom area missing shower curtain Rod in one Kitchen cabinet hinge that was loose never fixed and has now come off, we cannot open in the event that it will cause further harm. Light switch in owners closet was marked for repair, have to press it hard for it to turn on. Bathroom door closer to road is still not closing right as it is rubbing Halo paint in bedrooms The outside wave trim in one long section is different than the entire home. Our sales associate Nicole was great! Steve the construction manager was great as well. The overall construction and materials used were great, i was impressed with all of the extra steps taken to build a great house. We were delayed 3 times on our closing which was frustrating and the the end result is good but not great. All cosmetic issues really just the finished product for trim and tile specifically seemed rushed through and it did not get a good clean up by the trades. We have been in almost 2 months now and our issues from day one still haven’t been address our point of contact was Megean and other than her introductory email she has not responded to our issues or work orders. We just reached out to Jenna last week and she had appointments scheduled to fix our issues that same day. She has been great and I feel like our issues are finally going to get fixed. This is our 2nd Pulte build, our first one was a much smoother process for sure but overall we love the house and would build with Pulte again. ... More

Warranty work is addressed quickly

Craig was a super responsive and helpful builder. Through the process he was very respectful and was always willing to go above and beyond to make sure or questions were answered. Even after closing he has helped us with a handful of questions we have had since becoming home owners.

We were ecstatic to close and move into our new home! The salesperson Dave I. was amazing. Everything seemed good, until we noticed a crack in one of the living room windows, then sockets in the basement weren’t working within the first 2 weeks. Warranty came out to review the issues, and will get back to us soon. The most disappointing event that has occurred, is the furnace/humidifier is already leaking, and a hot water pipe from the dishwasher has caused water to leak onto our treadmills in the basement. This is less than 2 months after closing. Building materials are nice, but based on our experience so far, attention to detail in workmanship has clearly been sacrificed for the sake of speed. ... Master bedroom glass shower door came off the hinges,took 2 weeks to fix. Some doors in the house was not sanded and painted properly.

The construction manager was available and responded quickly but the overall project was drawn out over 10 months. They left the house filthy, especially the floors. Expect to mop them several times to get the dry wall dust off.

We are still trying to get area in garage painted plus a defective kitchen cabinet replaced and the backyard approved by the HOA. We had to buy a lot of items that were not included in the price of the house like a refrigerator and a washer and dryer also.

Bying a home with Pulte is fine however avoid using Pulte mortgage at all costs! Dealing with them is an absolute nightmare!

We like the most about Pulte NorthCove the big lot sizes, building exteriors, structural options, but the quality of the building need to be standardized, base / inbuilt structure for a same option varies across homes, either missed or looks different than standard options, requires lot of follow in the process of building. Sometimes we feel we are getting low quality finishing for amount we have paid.

My family loves our new home. However, the craftmanship was very subpar. There was absolutely no attention to detail, culking was poor, edges were not finished and smooth, nail tracks still up, paint not smooth. For the amount we paid for this house those things should have been perfect. Those flaws took away from overall quality of the home.

Generally we are happy with our new home. There were issues with wrong roof trusses, which needed to be modified, and caused significant delays. We should have asked more questions in the design phase, as we made assumptions that caused disappointments.

More responsiveness would be better Overall fair quality but could be improved

Our house is great but we as we started living in it, we started to notice the poor paintwork. We called out many items during our walk-throughs and they were either not done or they were done very poorly. We also noticed the floors are chipped in certain areas and our garage door is damaged.

Let me start by saying the Pulte employees attached to the Hawthorne development have been professional and great to work with. Robb, the Community realtor, was amazing! I know this neighborhood experienced a lot of vendor issues for the construction manager while my home was being built and this was my first new construction home but I am a bit shocked at the workmanship. Everything appears to have been a rush job and not a lot of pride displayed. For the price point I paid, I did expect a higher quality finish. It was explained that the house would go through 3 professional cleans during the process, however after closing I had to go spend several days deep cleaning. Could tell toilets were used several times, a sticky substance was on countertops and floors, dead bugs all over, etc. I upgraded my main floor flooring and countless boards are cracked due to installation, several screens on the windows were missing, garbage cans in pull out drawer were missing, cracked tile in shower that was still installed, paint sprayed on floors, paint drips down walls, holes in wall/drywall, garage door doesn’t lock, and so on. The Care Team, Angela and Paul, have been wonderful to partner with to hopefully get it all resolved soon. I understand and would have expected some finishing mistakes or things missed, I guess I just wasn’t expecting to this extent. Again maybe this is all normal for new construction nowadays. ... More

Some of design feature are not good enough,closet,bathroom; Sale rep and showroom not detail enough with customer. Construct manager and assistant were responsding the issues.

I am not satisfied with my new home. I paid more than half a million dollars for such poor quality. The cheapest paint was used, one closet has been repaired and I just submitted photos for a second closet. The kitchen faucet has to be replaced, and the arch leaving the master bedroom leading into the master bathroom is crooked. The casing broke off of the main bathroom door. How did you not level that off. I just bought this home 8/22. Every day I look to see what is going to break next.

Communication is not their strength!

We have had several issues with our home and Shane has been extremely responsive and willing to try to make it right. Unfortunately, our microwave has never worked, and it has been 60 days and Kitchen Aide has still not resolved the issue, despite two trips to repair. We expect a new home wo have everything work and that it should be replaced and not fixed. We have also had several issues with attic doors that needed replacement. Despite two repair visits they are still not completed. The quality of workmanship seems to lack the attention to detail and some of the workers just want to get it done versus doing it correctly. We love our new home and most of the process was very smooth. The sales rep and design center were wonderful. However, our construction manager was unresponsive at times and is yet to fix any of our post-move-in punch items. We would buy again with Pulte but would voice our concerns louder and earlier if we ended up with a poor construction manager again.
