My overall experience with Pulte has been fair not great. I'll start with the positives then go into the negatives. The staff at Pulte Mortgage do a great job of staying on top of the home buying process. I've been in my new home a little over two months and it's starting to feel like home after living in hotels and an apartment for almost a year. They build a solid house but the overall workmanship toward the end was a rush job to get the house closed. John, my construction manager is the contact person for the company and he does an excellent job of trying to make the customer happy but he is only one person. The thing that leaves the biggest pit in my stomach is the kitchen upgrade. Right before closing; in fact days before closing I found out I would have mismatched appliances. Most women, the kitchen is their space. Although, I'm no Martha Stewart as far as cooking however I paid for an updated kitchen. This is a supply chain issue, however Pulte knew for months about this issue and didn't inform me. Having mismatched appliances in a kitchen may be cool for some else but not my style. It is equivalent to having different tires on a Lexus. You have tires but some thing doesn't look or feel the same. I would have been willing to purchase my own oven and microwave to have matching appliances. Just a thought for future purchasers. ... More

Pulte was overall very good to work with and produce a reliable home. Our field manager was great and made the whole experience much more enjoyable.

Shawn & Rylan were great to work with

The building team is responsive and trustworthy.

Our build happened during the COVI-19 pandemic. There were a lot of set backs during the build and our construction manager was great at handling each one and helping us through the process.

They work fine, that is only small details which easily they can fix.

Everyone was very helpful through the entire process. I would not recommend the upgrade to the cabinets- they are substandard and not worth the price. Not what we expected for sure.

Like the condo overall. Glitches took awhile to resolve when we first move in.

My process with buying a home from Pulte went rather smooth. Staff has been very responsive with any issues I have had.

Overall the experience was fine with few problems, most, though not all of them were addressed quickly.

We were pushed to close on time even thought the morning of closing the house wasn’t 100% complete. We were not in a rush and we’re happy to wait until the house was completed. They were still tiling the backsplash and had several other loose ends to wrap up. The majority of the obvious work was completed but it took weeks to finally get a cleaner in there to finish everything up. After we occupancy we had a major water backup issue. The drain line was clogged with construction debris and caused water to flood the downstairs bathroom from the toilet. The emergency response team for the warranty was amazing. They had a plumber and a water remediation team out within hours. I was happy with the concern and urgency they displayed. I do feel like it’s a problem that could have been easily avoided. I feel like everyone was rushed at the end in order to get us to close before the house was ready and people got sloppy. I’m sure it’s common for the main drain line to get clogged. They could have avoided a bad experience and big mess if they had just tested it. Still waiting 1 month later for items found after closing.

Trying to correct mistakes with supervisors by text and emails is very hard, with no replies.

We love South Carolina and Oakfield had great eye appeal as we drove through the development. We felt it checked our boxes. However, the quality of the built is mediocre at best and we feel the cost of the house was way too expensive for the workmanship/quality that was delivered. Unfortunately, we feel we will have many repairs to make along the way. They have already begun.

For now the only thing that is bothering me is the front door. The black paint is coming off since day one and now it’s an eyesore. Apparently this can’t be fixed till spring … which is kinda absurd as we have to live with this eyesore till spring !

Overall good experience, frustrated by all of the delays but understood the causes

I am not happy with the response of punch list items it is taking to long and no one responds to emails.

Quality home but final walkthrough issues still not resolved over a month after closing

My experience with Pulte was okay, the house meet our expectations. However, they need to work on their communication and update on the building progress.

This was my first experience building from ground up and during the start of the process I felt rushed or pushed into signing without going through all the features and options the house had. I now wish some of the features I should of picked. After living in the house for a month now, I am noticing some unfinished worked...unpainted walls, poor worksmanship cover ups, little things here and there. I do enjoy my house and don't know if I can every buy another house that has been pre-owned.
