dont want to know how it went

Everything started off wonderfully but after several understandable Covid delays we had to force them to admit that our closing date was being delayed. Everyone is very nice and accommodating throughout the building process but once you get closer to the closing table it becomes very aggressive, threatening, and careless especially if you choose to go with a non-Pulte lender. Upon final walk through there were SEVERAL issues discovered by our hired inspector. Thankfully they addressed most prior to closing but there were still issues found after actually living in the home for two weeks. Overall in the end its a beautiful home and it has majority quality items but you have to stay on them and pay attention if you want to make sure it is done right. ... More

Couple of things that I would change from having a pulte home.

Overall buying experience was good. Slightly disappointed with quality of materials used.

For the most part the house buying experience was great. The options studio and sales offices were great, and always were responsive in answering our questions and taking care of business. When it came down to the near completion walkthroughs, and following to spec that was laid for the builders and workers, there was a quality issue. Issues were brought up and required several requests to get an answer on. Several times we went through the sales office to get info from our onsite contacts. There were outstanding issues that were never answered, and issues that still may be present in the house. Those will have to be resolved with the warranty company even though the onsite personnel said they would take care of the issues just after we moved our stuff in. I want to give the builder and whole process more stars because it is a great house, and deserves it, but they need to work on t heir quality checking, and responsiveness to customers pre completion and post completion to really earn them. ... Home is awesome. Matt and Sergio are also PM's to work with.

Process is extremely cumbersome. Pulte takes longer than advertised times for each phase of loan approval. Constantly asking for same documents all the time (pay stubs, bank statements, etc.)

At my closing I pointed out something that needed to be so done my field manager said he would take care of he promised. He just wanted me to sign off... there are stain drippings on my stair case. There are granite on my floors and paint in my floors throughout my home, there is a deep scratch on my cabinets in my bathroom that I noticed as i was leaving out the bathroom as there was a piece of blue tape there but not addressed. Reported it under the 30 day closing warranty... reported everything in the 30 days and it is not 31days and none of it was addressed. There was suppose to be an outlet put in the closet for my media as all media ports were put in there but no outlet... nothing has been addressed. No one cares after you close! I can go on and on... ... More

Not very responsive to issues.

My home buying experience was filled with a lot of emotions. The overall experience was a blessing thanks to my realtor & the lender. Other than building my home, Pulte Homes contributed nothing to making this a joyful moment. I wouldn’t recommend them due to the poor quality in customer service. All Pulte well s concern with is securing the contract. They put up a great facade! They build beautiful homes but the customer service is horrible!

Just know that the craftsmanship can be better. I've recently found out more and more issues with my home and.

The builder needs encouragement, like any employee. They are very busy and can get side tracked with so many jobs going on at the same time. They are not self starters but if you make needs known sometimes they will work with you. For the most part they cannot custom anything. They have some phenomenal people working for them and that can make any organization great. We had some excellent experiences w/ some staff.

Don't expect what you ordeed

dealing with Pulte Mortage was a PAINFUL experience... would NEVER go through that again. We are extremely disappointed with quality of finish work... drywall and paint work shows little focus to delivering a quality product. Looks very rushed.

I think my over all experience with home part is good but the main thing is the cost of optional items for even very small things. I think when some one is buying new home builder needs to spend default on few things like kitchen backsplash, side/back fences, bathroom soap holders, heated garage door, cabinet knobs, internet cable underground or fan plugin points. These are some basic default things for each home for which cost should be not charge to customer. This thing does not goes well with Pulte being so renowned builder you should consider these option by default in your basic unit. Last the title company, please change it or upgrade your staff. ... You have to fight or beg for everything that went wrong

I signed the contract for our home in Nov 2020, before the madness of the housing market really took off. I also signed just as Pulte started doing lot bidding which was not a fun experience and something I'll be mindful of if I ever purchase a home again. Our sale consultant Peter was always very responsive, Leslie in the sales office was very helpful during the initial tour of the model homes. The build time came in at around 7 months, during the pandemic, which was faster than we thought it was going to be. We didn't get many pictures from our field manager during the build, but considering how many homes they are managing in AZ during 2020/2021, it was understandable. Our home during the final walkthrough was not completed. One wall had a hole in it, the master bathroom shower glass was not installed and the master bathroom door had to be torn out to fit the glass. The home wasn't cleaned, even a month in we are still cleaning up small paint splatters. Needless to say, the end product is good but the end result didn't leave us with the best impressions of Pulte. We had a 3 week check-in with our field manager, who walked around the home with me to talk about new items we've found and to talk about old items that haven't been resolved. I'm sure Pulte will eventually get around to taking care of them but I think we would have been ok with taking possession of the home a couple of weeks later if that meant the house was dialed in. Overall we did like Pulte's options compared to some of its competitors, it was easy to work with Pulte Mortgage on our VA loan, our sales consulate Peter answered our questions in a timely manner and our field manager Louise is one hardworking guy! ... A lot of promises are made throughout the process and the end result eventually meets expectations but there are a lot of shortfalls and required followup to get there.

Overall I’m pleased with the new home but certain things should have been done prior to closing. Certain paint did not match in some spots. Still waiting on the stainless steel refrigerator and it’s been almost 2 months.

Make sure that the house is completely done before you sign off, regardless of promises. We are still waiting for fixes to be completed.

The sales process was good. The construction process mostly trouble free. The financing process was a joke, totally awful. The settlement company was useless, archaic and time consuming processes. Responsiveness to issues after moving in has been awful.

Disappointed in finish work and quality of the "upgrades" we made.

I had on issue that has not been resolve i had an rv gate install by pulte and the cable guys or who ever thats their cable box installation decided to install it righ were my rv access is at so i talk tp pulte personal but had had no luck getting my problem resolve
