The sales people were very pushy, and it you would see costs creep up unless you look at everything in detail. They try to push the other Pulte services on you. The house however is good quality, but some of the things seem old style.

Overall, the home is of decent quality, there's a number of details that weren't up to expectations. Lots of paint issues (lines not straight around door frames, uneven paint, missed paint spots, scuffs), those all had to be addressed at the final walk thru with some requested to be fixed very shortly after closing). They literally missed painting the entirety of the inside of a closet door. It just feels like quality control wasn't super up to par, like these very basic things that should've been caught by QC, but they weren't. Instead, the home owner has to point them out one by one to the builder to fix. Materials outside of flooring, cabinets, and countertops are very average quality for a half a million dollar home, things like bedroom level skirt board (floor mold) were poorly connected & painted, and carpet has these painful tacks sticking up vertically by the edges (builder says there's nothing they can do about those, I've never lived in a home with this problem before). There are two walls in the house that aren't straight, like the drywall is literally at an angle rather than just a straight wall ending in a 90 degree turn. This was not a fixable problem by the builder. It doesn't impact structural integrity, but it's aesthetically displeasing. Buying process was straight forward. Builder's settlement company was swamped during Fall of 2020 so they weren't super responsive (didn't respond to calls or emails), but they eventually got everything together in time for scheduled closing after I called sales to then call the settlement folks. Sales was easy to work with. Actual day of closing was quick and easy, just pre-closing docs and comms was very poor. Post closing, there was an issue with a water leak, but the warranty dept very quickly addressed the initial issue, so they are responsive to things, but this feels like poor QC on the builder side. Overall the house is of solid quality in terms of the build. It's just a lot of these details things that you'd expect from a "high quality home" (Pulte's own marketing words) weren't quite there (e.g. paint issues, using the cheapest flip switches, even for dimmers it's a flip switch with a tiny 1 inch slider that's super hard to use, instead of something a bit more high quality for a couple more dollars each switch). So if you don't care about the minor details, it's a great home for you, but if you pay attention to details, there was a number of disappointing aspects. They build a good home

Pretty good value and generally responsive to our needs. Big company offers advantages of scale but also suffers from to many moving parts.

Use cheap shower door in master bedroom. Lightnings and kitchen appliances are not very satisfactory, so I have already changed or planned to change it.

Let me start by saying the Pulte mortgage was a nightmare experience. No professionalism no communication whatsoever then you assumed it would get better once you get into the house Pulte cut corners and lot of different area lack of power outlets lack of communication with the pool I was getting nobody went and explain to me what type of pool I was getting. I thought I was getting a bigger pool lack of knowledge in maintaining the pool nobody had has still to this day explain to me anything. Just as certain areas of the house you can see Corners were cut but it is what is this you live and learn. it was not a total nightmare there are other builders that are a lot worse but all I'm saying you can see Corners were cut to save money. if you want to build a better company and take pride in your name start by having the process from beginning to end be a smooth and pleasurable experience for all communication is key when it comes to a person spending half a million dollars on a house communication is key that they get everything they think they getting. I don't care Pulte mortgage operates separately they still hold the Pulte name and they are tarnishing it,and whoever Works under the Pulte name and doesn't communicate properly to their customers. buying a home it's a long difficult expensive process. I totally dissatisfied with the pool that I received within the first week certain things in the house we're falling apart that should not happen in the first week I spoke to certain Neighbors and they said that's Pulte which is sad. Again there are other companies that are a lot worse this is not my first time buying a home but this is the reasoning why you guys get a 3-star you guys can do a lot better and offer a little bit more for the money we are paying not a lot more just a little bit more little better quality and better communication. ... Base price was affordable for us.

My family is already dealing with a lot of issues in the first few months of living in our new expensive pulte home. There just seems to be a lack of care put into making a presentable product for the home buyer.

NICE HOME BUT NOT VERY GOOD AFTER MOVE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY SAY THEY WILL HANDLE THINGS, BUT THEN YOU GET IGNORED

We recently closed on our home and love the house however I'm not sure how to rate it just yet as there are some concerns with our home that we are waiting on to be addressed by the warranty department. Our agent was nice but she forgot some things that we wanted in our home. Our building manager was great about keeping us posted on updates during the building process. Quality or workmanship on the home.... I would give 3 or 3.5 stars for the price we paid. There was quiet a few cosmetic things like scratches, dings and (chunk missing from the plastic on the big sliding glass door, missing caulk, missing paint, paint on the carpet) and overall quality of the subcontractors that were overlooked. There were also a few of things that came up on our inspection report like the roof shingle placement and uneven foundation and sloping in some areas that were noted as carelessness. When I sent an email to the warranty department they were quick to respond and requested a copy of our inspection report. So, again this survey is a bit premature because we are still waiting for Pulte to get back to us. ... More

Be wary of what is or is not included in upgraded features. For example, we paid a ton of money for a walk-in shower with a spa package but we can now not fully use the jets without soaking the drywall outside of the shower because the upgrade didn't come with a shower door. The frustrating part is that the standard shower comes with a door so why wouldn't the upgraded one. No one will answer me.

I found a new construction Pulte home when the frame was already up, and was told that due to that, no design/customization could be made because Pulte had already made all decisions and purchased all materials. The sales associate just seemed very un-accomodating in that regard and I'm not sure if there was a window of opportunity to make some design changes to my liking, or not (I am a first time home buyer). Regardless, if changes were not feasible, I should have been provided with a full rendering of the interior/exterior of the home so I could know what to expect and make a better informed choice about purchasing the home. In the end, I was not totally satisfied with the appearance of the exterior and would have made selected some other interior options as well. Additionally, I was informed by the Sales Specialist that there was a Amtrak train track near my street/homesite but that she had seldom heard any trains come by and it was just Amtrak that passed quickly. However, both Amtrak and very noisy freight trains come through routinely throughout the day AND night. Had I known about the train aspect, I would not have purchased this particular home. This is also of paramount importance because due to COVID-19, I work from home and it is important to live in a community where there are little to no noise distractions. I feel that the information provided to me and my realtor (who was present with me at the time) was both misinformed and misleading. Of note, the temporary sales office in the community was not as close to the train track as my home, so the Sales Specialist would not actually know about train activity during the day or night unless she spent significant time near my street/at my home site. I, along with my realtor, would have appreciated a more honest answer regarding the trains so that I could have avoided purchasing a home that is not in a location to my satisfaction or tolerability. ... The sales manager was great. However, the materials and the contractors that Pulte hires were horrible. The contractors were sloppy at best. We have paint on our wood floors, scratch marks in the floors where they were dragging appliances in our kitchen, dents in the cabinets, loose door cabinets, holes in the walls where they installed the banister incorrectly and failed to patch it up, and so much more. The paint they use is a cheap flat paint that is impossible to keep clean and already looks worn. We are already talking about painting the entire house because of the horrible and cheap paint. More than a few of our windows don’t work. Overall, very disappointed in the materials and even more upset at the horrible contractors. ... More

The employees are very nice.

No good finishing, moved closing date 3 times with 5 days of anticipation. No communication between branches.

To many major issues within 2 weeks after closing roof leak, 2 different granite color on island also water line crossed for filtered water connected to shower not fridge. Then had to cut hole in drywall to repair. These items should never happen in a supposedly quality home!!! I will give credit to them for getting on items for repairs thou warranty people been real good on getting repairs done.

We recently built a house with Pulte. I cannot say we got the value we paid for our home. All of the trim work was in really rough shape. We had to hire an external painter to come in and fix a lot of the trim, mudding, and painting. It is still not fixed correctly, because it was just too much to get done and would have cost a fortune (since we did not want to have all of the trim ripped out and redone.) I feel like this is not something I should have had to pay for considering my house almost cost half of a million dollars. The whole building process was very rushed and you can see that in our home. We have spots where grout is missing in the bathrooms, we were not able to get the fixtures we wanted due to back order, some of the hardwood is not glued properly, banisters not sealed correctly, brick has not been pressure washed, sloppy brick laying outside, the sidewalks have gouges in them and look rushed. There were many options that we could have had with this home, but was not offered to us. Example-sprinkler system, unaware Kitchen Aid appliances also had a confection oven capability. The closing process took us over three hours since we were not allowed to leave until the money from our lender cleared with Pulte. I feel like it was that way due to us using an outside lender and not Pulte. Overall the house was built quickly and we are glad to have a home, but it does show it was rushed. I wanted a less stressed home buying experience, that's why I went with new build. But it seemed I had to put in more work on quality control work because the builder didn't. They need to work on their contractors. Lots of obvious misses. The build manager is responsive and easy to work with, but I shouldn't have to bother him too much.

Disappointed at the cheap fixtures and lights they use. Quality of workmanship does not match what they claim

Sales associate didn't give correct information regarding credit from pulte. He was abrupt with his tone and demeanor. His answered were ambiguous and lacked proper communication. I would not recommend eddy skyes to a future homebuyer.

I’m not happy with the craftsmanship of the work done in the house. I feel like the whole building process was rushing and affected the final product. All contractors came to do their job and run to the next place without proper quality assurance. My experience was a constant effort to tell Pulte to fix things according to my standard expectations of buying a new house (considering this is the third house I bought). And finally, the materials used were traditional. Nothing special regarding the materials used.
