Poor workmanship, finishes were poor and currently having flooring issues and filed ROC Complaint. Our construction manager was great but the overall experience was poor with the quality of the build and the accountability by Pulte as the contractor

I really like the modern look of the house. The craftsmanship is really poor. Some materials are very cheap. Sales representatives are very good and response to your queries. Expected more valued materials from Big group like Pulte.

We were excited to buy a home and thought we were going with a builder that stood by their product. There so many thing you are not able to see until you move into a house and the experience with the warranty group has been lack luster. So far the responses we have received start with "that is not under warranty" even though the installation was done wrong. I have submitted warranty requests and did not get a response until I went to the sales office. I have to consistently reach out reminding them that there are still issues that have not been resolved. I have decided that it is best that I reach out regarding one issue at a time and once that issue is resolved then move onto the next. Our home buying experience started out great but we ended up regretting our purchase. At a quick glance the homes seem well out together, we noticed issues during our final walkthrough that weren’t all completed by the time of closing. Once we moved in we have not enjoyed our home. Outside of the lack of quality workmanship on details such as paint, trim, and drywall. The home is freezing. Our heat has to be almost up to 80 while wearing long pants and a sweater to be comfortable. Our 1 year old daughter has to be bundled up to eat breakfast in the morning. When you sit on the sectional you can feel the cold air blowing on your feet and neck. There is condensation on the new windows. Having owned a home in the Chicagoland area that was 6 years old we never had these issues, and our previous home was on a slab and it never felt this cold. I had several issues coming already in new built home, one of such issue is air coming out from doors poor insulation. Hardwood floor is damaged and many more

I was literally cheated with Sales Person. I was not told when i am signing a contract. I bought a corner lot and charged $10000 extra for lot premium saying that i would get extra fencing in back and sixe yard. After construction they mentioned that lot was key-locked lot and dont get any extension for my corner lot. Sakes guy simply said sorry.

The number of issues with home quality is not acceptable for a million dollar home. The electrical issues have been constant for several months. There workmanship is below average in many areas. The field reps were professional but clear in their lack of ongoing concern. Very disappointed thus far in many facets.

Need more over sight when being built. Can tell they were rushed.

So people that works for pulte homes care and some people just going to that type of person.

My experience building my first new home has been deeply frustrating. A major leak above the furnace caused severe mold growth, clearly pre-existing before closing. Neither the construction manager nor the warranty team caught it. Despite the mold’s presence, the warranty personnel refused air quality or mold testing, dismissing concerns based solely on photos. I’ve had to pay for testing myself to protect my family’s health. Other issues, like cold drafts through outlets and wall dripping, are brushed off as ‘normal.’ The warranty team refuses to investigate insulation or ensure the home meets code. This builder’s claims of quality and energy efficiency feel entirely misleading. I cannot recommend them based on my experience. ... More

Brandon, the sales rep was not the best to work with. Information was left out, which led to issues during the building process and the close. Other than that, experience was good. The design center was a cool experience, didn't have everything we wanted with their options, but it worked out well and happy with the home.

The sales team is awesome and would work with you in getting the house bought for you. They were patient and very coachable. Once we bought the house, we ran into multiple issues when we first moved in. Chipped upgraded cabinets, circuit issues, laundry power plug, oven shutting down, new dishwasher flooded, window drafts, and a couple others. Robert the manager was constantly trying to get things fixed with a lot of delays with multiple vendors. It did leave us a sour taste at the beginning when we first moved in. When en things finally slowly got fixed, we were able to get started. So we think that the builders have done a sloppy job with the house. Pulte is a good company but watch out for the house builders and to make sure they did the job correctly. ... More

As a first time home buyer this experience should be fun and joyful and it was anything but that. The only great part of our experience was our construction supervisor Connor. All other aspects were brutal. We ended up with a gorgeous home but it was a miserable journey. I would not purchase a pulte home again nor would I recommend it to others.

Not very happy at Pulte marketing side , many recommendations provided were not very helpful. Also after taking possession service requests were not very effective & pro active .

We were excited that we booked our custom home with Pulte but it was not a greatest experience. Below are few areas we had issues with: 1. Since beginning there were delays. Delays to get the permit, could be Govt issues or may be Pulte didn't submit the details correctly. 2. Due to Permit delay, construction wasn't started for approximately 2 months. 3. Once, the construction started, they dig the foundation way back on the lot(lot size more than 10K sq ft). For such a big lot, we didn't have much space in the backyard. We complained and after too many back and forth communication, Pulte finally agreed to move the foundation only 10 feet forward, even though it can go more, but they didn't. They also didn't give any reason why they can't move further. 4. Due to the foundation issue, again the construction was delayed by month or so. 5. Finally construction started, but I think they lack planning the construction phase. I think they need to focus more on the weather and phase of construction. For example, if the house is ready for the roof shingles and it is going to rain heavily next week, please don't wait for the rain to ruin the wooden floor, plan ahead and get the shingles done before the rain. 6. Finally, the home was completed and we moved in. Now, we are finding more issues in the house, for example - Floor is cracking, too loud water gushing sound(no or less sound insulation on pipes), annoying noises from the house, etc. Overall, I am not satisfied with the Pulte homes. Do not go through Pulte Mortgage, it’s been a nightmare from the start. Also, the home was completed and closed yet the kitchen cabinet door was not installed and a month in has not arrived, There are scratches all over the cabinets and poor quality installation.

Follow up on concerns after closing is a problem.

Don't trust them. What they say and what they do are 2 totally different things. Was told my garage would have an extra step or 2 into my house. Ended up with 5 steps and a whole landing. I can't fit my car in the garage. Secondly, was told numerous times that I would have a prewire for a light fixture above my dining room table. They installed a prewire for a ceiling fan which is a much smaller box so my chandelier can't be installed correctly. They are saying the ceiling fan prewire is correct. Who would install a ceiling fan above their dining room table? They are very untrustworthy. Overall, my house is beautiful, but Pulte lies. ... More

Look at all materials before closing

We love our home, but the experience we went through was not pleasant at all. We came to a house to a non working dishwasher, a hole in the outside roof, the grass had foot prints that made the surface uneven.

I purchased this home in good faith and that their would be a clear line of communication throughout the whole process when it came to any issues. At first things look promising and was assured if any issues occurred they would be resolved in a timely manner. The overall home is good, but the quality of the material used and workmanship lacks. Example if you spray the home walls or doors, but touch up common area spots with a brush or roller its noticeable. Another issue is touching up spots with multiple coats of paint leads to it just pealing off especially in areas where there is friction like doors and door frames. Quality of material like the trim lacks in common areas. Example using trim pieces with noticeable chips and dents and not fixing/filling in or using quality pieces makes common areas look bad. I closed on 09/23/24 and moved in 10/26/24. Giving the builder and their team time to address the issues. I have had floors, doors and trim fixed due to water leaking into the home, but the work has not been finished. Its been 2 weeks since and no communication/follow up has been received even after contacting the builder. I understand things will occur over time, but leaving unfinished work is not good business or practice especially when there was no follow up. It has been one week since moving in this home and I find more workmanship and materials issues than anything else. I appreciate Pulte providing this additional survey as previous surveys I completed were given better ratings, but as things progressed, I am glad I have the opportunity to provide additional feedback, ... The home buying experience was easy. After I moved in, it was a different story. The first few days identified several issues with the brand new home not being ready for me as I was assured it would be. Dishwasher not connected, washing machine and dryer not connected, water heater not programmed. A/C not working in half the house because they did not open the vents in the attic…when the tech went into the attic, we also discovered the lights had been left on. Other issues: caulking missing in corner of living room and I had a red ant invasion and had to have an exterminator. Google doorbell installed by a Pulte vendor but not with the right transformer so it won’t ring inside the house (3 weeks since reporting it and I am waiting for repair). Two ceiling fans have high pitch squeals and have to be replaced. Very disappointing and frustrating experience. ... More

The quality of construction much lower then expected. Pulte uses the cheap materials, the worst appliances such as refrigerator, dish washer, dryer. Subcontractors don't know how to connect it the right way. Most walls are not level, tapers do inside corners of the wall as round, joint tape is visible, painters pint with dirty rollers that all walls have dust under the pain, base bords painted over the dirt from the not swiped floors. Electricians can't install outlets in one level, all outlets above the counter top in different level up to 1" and 1/2. Carpenters installed all doors not level. Entrance door 1/2" of level and can't be closed properly. AC installer doesn't know how to run duct system, some rooms have no air flow some rooms blow air as it hurricane. Construction process communication was minimal. Don't expect consistent check-ins on the build. Water penetration issue in basement existed all up to 2 weeks before closing. Construction manager did not believe our communications and kept commenting it was wet from cleaning. I would micro-manage the build process if you decide to go into contract with them.
