Only proceed with Pulte if you have unlimited time and patience

The cheapest materials they can be and the worst workmanship it can be on top of sloppy work without any thoughts in mind. Customer service is so bad as well as we are 3 month on with punch list items for repairs still pending.

Excellent customer service throughout the entire buying process!

This home buying process was a challenge for me. The Field Manager and Sales Rep. are two of the greatest people within this field. As a first time single home buyer, they both made me feel comfortable and answered my questions along the way also explaining the difference in some of the options I chose.

Not a bad experience. Two things we have learned from this experience. 1. Check all options during de building process. Make sure the selection and material a correct, you have to see them in person. We chose to upgrade a zero-VOC paint. The field manager told us the paint is what we choose during the building process, but on the closing day, we found out that it is not the case, they used a different paint with the same color. You have to see the material in person to be sure, do not trust what they say in the email. 2. Make sure all issues are fixed before closing. We were told they will fix exterior issues we found in the inspection after 1 week of closing. But no one showed up after 1 month and the response becomes extremely slow. It seems everything is to be blamed on Covid. But the simple fact is that they like all the builders want to be at the top, and they really could care less about what we want. The sales team was really nice and very knowledgeable with regards to their product. then we got to to work with their mortgage company who was spot on very helpful. Then it came to the building of the home. At one time we thought that the builder offered a good quality product. Our overall experience and confidence of this builder is really quite low not what we initially thought.. They continue to push back on 4 major issues we have in our NEW home (ie….cannot get materials, repairs to damaged countertop and more) I compare it to when buying a NEW car…there are 4 wheels and tires on a car and one wheel is damaged and too small, they fix it, but Pulte seems to think to think that the damage to the material has been repaired and try to tell me that it is with-in code. They have have such poor management of their homes and their trades as they have no one to oversee the work…again its not our fault that they have over committed and under delivered. What you see in the models (wrong cabinets for instance) is not what you are getting…no pride no workmanship. Really sad! ... More

Communication is key in the new construction process. Unforeseen delays, setbacks, mistakes, and misinformation hamper the relationship between buyer and builder. Weekly email updates, a phone call when there's a problem, and a communication assistant supporting everyone would help build trust in the product and the professionals responsible for delivering.

Great experience and terrific people

Bottom Line: If you buy a Pulte home do not close/sign until your problems are resolved because they will not care once the papers are signed. Building workmanship /quality came with many issues that were pushed off and required multiple trips by the construction team to fix simple items that should have been caught by the builder before we arrived. We were accepting that things are busy and that it may take some time to get people over to fix things but now we are a month in and still having issues getting these initial problems addressed. This lack of quality control on items that were visible obvious to someone who has no background in home building and buying a first home only leads to more questions on what is wrong with things I cannot see. I will say Ben and the sales staff were absolutely wonderful to work with. Ben was responsive from the moment we walked through closing. Ben was honest and trustworthy. When we had issues with the building team that were not being addressed, Ben was always there to help and ensure questions got answers. We would love to work with him again in the future. ... More

Good experience. Just a few minor things that needed to be completed after we closed on the home.

Poor quality esthetics Won’t recommend

Pulte’s design floor plans were the best we found when compared to three other national builders. Realistic layouts for everyday life with no wasted space. They’re also the most responsive builder I’ve ever worked with. Thank you!

As a former homebuilder myself and now a building inspector I understand the process of building a new home and Pulte was very easy to work with. They offered great options, pricing was very competitive, workmanship was good and the build schedule was very good for us especially given the current building environment. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Building a home with Pulte has been a great experience.

All individuals from the Pulte Home group (Including Pulte Mortgage, Pulte Home Insurance, and affiliates PGP Title) were approachable, informative, and professional. We felt from initial purchase to final move-in that we were able to comfortably reach out and get any questions answered or concerns addressed in a timely manner. The building team did a great job throughout all phases of the development. Both interior and exterior finish details exceeded expectations with only minor necessary touch ups. We were frequently updated with the progress of our home and immediately notified of any delays in materials. I love my home and I am glad that I am finally in it. The sales process was rushed and not detailed, I loved the model and the community, but things change after you sign that purchase agreement. The design appointment was cold and uninformative, way too many things to chose from in a two-hour span. After you sign for $70k in upgrades, good luck if you ever get in touch with that salesperson/designer again. The customer service from the sales end is lacking, they put you in touch with a myriad of people that are supposedly there to assist you, but the minute you have a question, or you call them out on something, you hear crickets from them. This was particularly frustrating for me, as you pay all this money for your home, and they did not even have the professionalism to return your call. The way I took their action or lack there off is that they don’t care about you, or your hopes and dreams all they care about is the sale and their commission. Have you heard that saying “You aint nothing but a number…”? Overall, the company is good to get you sold on the house, but the real work is done by the project manager. I have to say that my project manager was the real MVP on this transaction, he was left with a mess of misinformation from the sales/design contract, and he took it all in stride and worked through every single one of the mangled mess and did not stop until they were all corrected to my satisfaction, I feel that he was the only one that actually lived the Pulte guarantee. There were things that were never resolved, but it wasn’t because of his lack of trying. The sales process needs to be more professional, with transparent communication as this would have avoided most of the issues that I experienced. A word of advice…reply to your customers, ALWAYS, even if only to say, I don’t have an answer for you, but I will look into it. ... More

We have a nice house

It has been less than a month since we moved into our new home. Overall, we are satisfied with the quality as of today, but we have also found defects in the windows and doors which are security issues as well as energy consumption issues for us. We have yet to hear from the window and screen people although we already mentioned the defects. We plan to submit another request for repairs as soon as we gather a list of items that need repairing.

Be on top of the and very involved in the buying and construction process. Don’t let Pulte bully you into accepting poor quality just to get the home completed.

READ THE CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGHN

There were numerous discrepancies with our home that were addressed during the final walk through that have yet to be fixed. Other issues continued to be found even after moving in. For example, lights in the kitchen do not turn on as well as the closet lights on the second floor. Overall, if we had to do it all over again we would have not chosen Pulte at all

Our experience was good overall and we recommend this builder.

From the sales team, field manager, to mortgage, the whole experience was bad. Through the long and delayed process, we had 2 sales people, 3 field managers, and 2 loan officers. Communication within the pulte team is non-existent and communication with the customer is equally as bad. Utility location is inefficient and materials used to build are cheap. I do not recommend Pulte

The People I dealt with through the entire process were all amazing! Courteous, professional and attentive!
