We waited for 3 months at the beginning of the year and walked away disappointed with the development sales management. Connected by recommendation from our realtor to work with Christine and had an A+ experience. The construction manager Scott was outstanding.

We love our townhouse.

The sales agent that assisted us played an important role to make everything smooth in our acquiring our first home.

The only disappointment is the fact we are 2 months into our new home and have yet to receive our Oven / Microwave combo for our kitchen. Overall experience was satisfactory.

The reason we chose Pulte was because of our Sales Rep Emily .. who sadly moved mid way through the build. She was amazing and a true asset to your team. Our PM Joe really went to bat to get things completed for us. He stayed in communication and on top of work orders. We appreciate he kept his promise to us.

i felt like i was always making the calls to check on my new home and i thought it should have been the other way around

We are happy with the home overall but we were disappointed and frustrated with the buying process. Too many people associated with the purchase of the home. Mistake made on husband’s Social Security number. When we received phone calls and we had to return call it took sometime 6 hours. Also we would receive documents that needed us to fill out and sign at like 5:00pm with expecting a quick response.

I want it to be known that my review is being written in a world devastated by the current climate of our nation and world as it relates to COVID related issues that either slowed down and/or played a role in some of the poor craftsmanship of the house and closing process. So with all that being said, our construction manager was extremely responsive and fixed issues rather swiftly. Pulte builds a good quality home. The response from their employees to our overall process was less then we expected. Between delays in the building process to getting answers to our questions was a struggle to say the least.

the closing experience was not so good, from our keys being lost to not have a customer service rep reach out to us at all! Nevertheless the overall home quality was very good, but customer services is definitely an area of opportunity.

We had major delays and the communication related to the delays and schedule were always a issue.

The builder was ok it’s the closing that was the problem. The underwriters for Pulte needs some fixing I thought we was trying to buy a home if I did know any better I thought the underwriting department was not trying to sell this home.

Working with Robb was great and he was very helpful throughout the whole building process. He took his time to explain everything to us along the way and was very responsive to questions and concerns. We love our new home. Our experience during the sales process was not good. Jessica was great and so was the salesperson we talked to from the Avon Lake community, but Tom was incredibly rude to us. We almost did not buy a Pulte home because of Tom, but decided to look past his horrible attitude because we wanted the quality of a Pulte home in Avon. While we were deciding if we wanted to buy we had a lot of questions as this was a huge financial decision for us, and he told us we were irritating him. This is our second new build we have purchased and while some of the features of the house are better than out first, there are details that are needs improvement. Visible dry wall tape that has been painted over in the owners room. Dry wall corners that is protruding/bent through the wall texture. The floor in the owners room excessively pops/shifts near the closet, the same closet door sticks. floor shifts/pops right in front of the balcony door. Messy caulking on the exterior of the balcony door. You can feel the subfloor surface is not entirely level when walking over certain areas. Finishing work on the cabinets in the bathrooms/kitchen messy or not done. Water damage on the baseboards in a bathroom. Some of these are not as big of a deal than others but quality in workmanship is the issue. Trustworthiness, so far so good. We got a third party inspection done and Pulte completed all of the findings. During our walk through we pointed out some details we did not like and they did their best to complete them. We had one service ticket submitted for the dishwasher and they were very quick to come out and resolve the issue. The dry wall corner that is bent through the dry wall texture is something that the builder said they will fix verbally on the day we got our keys but we yet to follow through in submitting the service ticket yet so we will see how they respond. ... Pulte has a good reputation to be a good home builder. After coming into the house there was a few worksmanship issues that I had to fix such as paint on the floor not cleaned up, lots of gaps in moulding that you will have caulk yourself. overall its a good company but I really wish they progress more into eco friendly material as closed cell foam instead of loose white fluff, more premium standard materials and maybe be have solar energy standard accross any community they build instead of have legislation forcing them too. Conclusion its a good buy for people on a budget.

Look good before you buy

They were great, mostly kept to deadlines and built the house much faster than I expected. The quality was very good, but probably not "luxury" as described. The house shows beautifully, but everything is just a tiny bit smaller than it looks when you start living in it (showers, width of driveway, size of garage, dishwasher, sinks, etc) all feels smaller than it looks in the model. Very efficient, but I would not describe as luxury. Lots of things got pushed until after closing, but they are pretty good about keeping their promises and trying to respond to all issues.

The whole home buying experience was normal(as expected). The sales and construction teams were good, however I had bad experience with the mortgage team.

We recently moved into our newly constructed home and while we’re happy to finally be in the space, our overall experience with the construction process was mixed. While the house itself has good bones and we’re excited to make it our own, several things were left unfinished or missing at the time of closing. It was clear that the team rushed to meet the closing date, which unfortunately came at the expense of quality and completeness. These were details we expected to be handled before we moved in, and having to follow up afterward has been frustrating. One of the biggest issues has been the condition of the driveway, which was delivered in an extremely poor state—cracked, uneven, and clearly not up to standard. We’ve been told this will be addressed by insurance a couple of months after move-in, but in the meantime it’s been an eyesore and a source of stress. Another disappointment was the conduct of the construction manager. Due to some miscommunication between our side and his, instead of working with us to clarify and resolve things, he responded in a way that came off as unprofessional and dismissive. As homeowners investing a great deal into this process, we expected more respectful and transparent communication. To their credit, the team has acknowledged some of the issues and is taking steps to resolve them. We’re hopeful that, once everything is finally completed and corrected, we’ll be able to fully enjoy our new home—but the process to get there has not been as smooth or respectful as it should have been. ... Pay attention to quality of interior wall paint as well as wall switch placement. Security keypads may not be in the most logical place.

Overall experience was decent. Some of the procedures needed for the mortgage were cumbersome but that's probably the case everywhere. There were a couple communication breakdowns that had legitimate consequences but they did what they could to make things right.

Project Manager Shawn was great. Knowledgeable, experienced and highly responsive to our concerns. Pulte Mortgage was the absolute worst experience ever.

We recently purchased a new home from Pulte Homes in Wilmington, NC, and overall, we’re pleased with our experience. Our salesman, Ken, was exceptional from start to finish, offering outstanding support and making the process enjoyable. Additionally, Kelsey played a crucial role in providing peace of mind throughout the loan process. Her assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated. The experience started out poorly when we were forced to accept a design that included windows in master bedroom which was not part of the original design. It seems odd that the city can require windows without owners approval. It changes interior design quite a bit. I thought the trades were very sloppy during construction with little cleanup being done a little concern for the next trades coming in. Our construction manager Dustin was wonderful to work with and had to correct numerous mistakes. In the end we were satisfied with the house but Dustin had to do quite a bit of follow up.

Sales personnel were great, we worked with Chris an had a good experience overall. The build of the actual house really showcased the lack of tradesman quality, a lot of poor quality materials are being used. Rushing out on these homes is causing a lot of simple things to be missed. Construction manager Matt was very helpful and responsive. Warranty department so far has been great.
