Let me start by saying - the home is gorgeous and we will eventually be very happy with our decision. The house isn’t falling over and I do believe we received a fantastic deal in this market. Now onto the bad. I feel like we were deceived by our salesman. Several items that we thought would be included in our home turned out to be options that were not included. A tiled shower and the wood/metal stair railing are just two that come to mind that were never even offered to us to ‘upgrade’. Upon moving in, many items were not even completed. Closet doors not finished (no gliders in the floors and no paint), a cracked window, flooring installed in closet not all the way to wall, walls needed patched, towel racks coming out of walls, etc. Most of these things have still yet to be corrected. Then during the first week and a half in the house, we had two water leaks. The first took far long to repair and the second was just okay. During this, we found out that our water shutoff valves for the upstairs were installed wrong and did not work properly. Also, while most of these items have been repaired, we are still waiting for the fan to be replaced in our half bath as it was likely damaged by the water leaks. We had to have our front porch concrete re-poured because of an obviously visible incorrect slope. This took two weeks to repair and while doing so they left our siding on the ground in the mud not even lying flat. During the re-pour they got concrete on other siding that still needs replaced. Workers used my hose (not a big deal) but couldnt even clean up after themselves leaving in sprawled all over the front yard. A porto john was left on my front yard for several weeks although houses on both sides of me were still being built. I had to dig up a 10-12 foot piece of wood (2x6) that was mostly buried but had a 1-2 foot section extending up through the ground and clearly noticeable leaning against the house. Honestly the list goes on and on and on but I think you get the point. I never expected to have a perfect house, but I didnt expect so many things to be wrong, nor did I expect things to take so long to fix thereafter. If you go with Pulte, don’t ‘trust’ they will get it done because they wont. Be the bad guy and hound them til its completed to your satisfaction. ... More

They are reliable. Helpful and polite

My experience was Pulte was great. They handed it over on time and we didn't had any issues. Overall, the process was very smooth. I'm happy with Pulte.

Overall I had a good experience, even with pandemic-related delay issues with regard to supplies.

Great experience! Process was easy. We're very pleased.

Once they built the house, they dont even care to fix the issues reported during walk-in. They say they will fix it but they never do. Ask them to fix all issues before paying anything to them.

Everyone was great to work with

I had a terrible experience with a leaking central HVAC system leading to no cooling for the first month I moved in. As a new home buyer you expect this to be sorted and examined but its a very demoralizing experience for me.

It was a true pleasure working with our sales re Gretchen and building project manager Gigi. Very responsive to questions and always providing updates to the building progress. A really wonderful team made this a very easy process.

Response time was great. Craftsmanship was a little off

The local construction managers were great to work with and did an amazing job helping us get into the house. Unfortunately, there are many issues with the house that they are unable to resolve due to the company policy. The gutters on the house are too small to handle the rain in Georgia and will need to be replaced at my cost. Lots of small issues that we are finding all over the interior and exterior of the home. Based on the lack of workers available and the companies inability to get other contractors, I am not confident that the issues will get resolved. I will end up paying for the repairs myself to get it handled before they become bigger issues. Very disappointing when you pay this much money for a house. ... More

We are a first time home buyers. We have zero knowledge on the upgrades and options. It would have been helpful if sales could have told about the major selling upgrades we would have gone with them. We miss a few now which we regret to not have them. Second, I felt Pulte is not fair to all home owners. They finished the garage of almost every home owner missing a couple and when asked about it they gave some crappy answers. I know about 8-10 people who didn’t go with an option of finished garage and they still got them. It was unfair. What I learned working with construction manager is, you should visit your construction site often, take notes every week and send to him and not go easy on him. If you go easy, you are gonna lose a lot of things and always keep everything in email (writing). And ask only before you close and not after because you will see the difference in their responses once they close. ... More

They were in such a rush to complete the interior of the home that quite a few mistakes were made such as uneven floors, uncorked windows and scantily painted window panels, cuffed and splitting door frames, doorknob placed backwards and mal-adjusted kitchen cabinet doors. The list goes on. They tend schedule final walk through 2 days before closing and many issues go unresolved thereafter.

Our project manager was great. He kept us updated weekly with updates to our home through the construction process. The sales agent we first initially dealt with was very friendly and professional. Everyone worked really hard to make sure we were happy at closing. A little sloppy with the paint as overspray on window sill areas and floor. Mismatched door going to our garage compared to the rest of the house. AC not cooling a room and took 1 week to get response from someone after submitting a ticket (still pending resolution). Landscapers ran out of grass and can tell where they laid the 2nd portion as much fuller. I wish they would pretreat the soil as I have been picking weeds daily ... More

Excellent experience in building our dream home! Every team member followed through with every promise they made. From sales to warranty, the building process was seamless. No good at all

We were very excited to get an opportunity to purchase the home we now have. The home was the exact model we wanted with just a few differences but nothing we couldn’t live with. Because of the pandemic we knew there was a possibility that the completion would be delayed. We sold our other house early and were fortunate to have some place to stay until the home was completed. We tried to be understanding about the delays and that we could wait. We were maybe too understanding and experienced numerous delays over a long summer. The craftsmanship is lacking which is disappointing considering the cost of the home. We have issues that need to be addressed and receive promises that they will be taken care of but only a few have been completed and I have decided to fix the rest on my own. We blame ourselves for not being more attentive to the building process and not more aggressive about our expectations. We lived in our last home for over 30 years, raised three boys while doing so. This is supposed to be our last home as we head into our retirement years….it still will be but with a few more hurdles to clear then we expected. ... More

Sales agent have very less idea on how to deal with customers especially when they first time buyers. builders are new with not a lot of experience but still somewhat did a good job. designs - house designs are awful, so much space is wasted on unnecessary things. The home designs needs to be explained well to customers and be given an idea on how it looks on the lot... like ranch houses will consume a lot of yard size vs other family homes. Cant just count the number of things. Sometimes the upgrades are really downgrading in Pulte. Interior design - Standard design options are joke, cannot customize the designs we choose is a backstep in the process. Inside the house, I see the paint is wearing out, nails are popping out of drywall. The electric work is a joke had a switch not working for more than few weeks. Overall buying a home at Pulte has given me many lessons I will not forget. ... More
