It was a bad experience , Pulte used bad quality of hardwood flooring , hardwood flooring installation not good , subfloor squeaking under carpet, subfloor so thin they should use thicker and stronger one like 3/4" or 1" plywood sheets instead of OSB , floor vibrating when we walk in some area ( maybe it's joist problem ) ,the furnace in wrong spot above the plumbing stack which should be connected to the kitchen and second floor bath , to solve this issue they connected the pipe to the basement drain !! now the plumbing stack used as a basement drain without trap and this issue cause a ...

Breaking Dry wall for brand new month Old house

Overall, the experience was below average. Everything felt rushed, a lot of small details werent explained. When doing walk through, there were too many paint jobs not done, material not yet built and after closing found some main house items missed such as drainage systems. Also leaks in basement which had to work through warranty for weeks to get done even though it was mistake from start. House took over a year to complete! Standard Ascend model, no basement or upstairs. We were rushed to get all our options picked. Contract signed 8/21 but foundation wasn’t laid until 4/22. Overall options were not properly conveyed. Insulation in a garage in the Chicagoland is an option! Didn’t realize this until a walk through but was relieved that the drywall wasn’t up yet in the garage. I asked to put insulation in at that point, I’ll pay, too late. Cheap quality with uneven walls, floors and other defects

Unsure if all builders are the same but Pulte does not share plans and designs and quality is lacking so, be ready for surprises and oopsies. The irrigation system zones are set up in a way that does not make sense, the sod was set on top of rocks, weed and construction debris. The yard is dramatically uneven. The floor tile is not flat and the wall tile on the backsplash and the showers is worse. It is difficult to trust the brand and when they don't share tests for energy star compliance, blue prints and other plans like the irrigation system layout makes me wonder if they don't share ...

Workmanship Issues Found all over the House and Garage

I was extremely disappointed in the workmanship of the house, I question why there is clearly NOT a final checklist that someone reviews before a part of the house is ready. The garage floor is scratched all over and has holes in the cement, holes in the wall, the wrong paint on parts of the wall, glue all over the frosted windows, screws not screwed into the wall in the closet, chipped shower glass door, they never created the shower niche in the shower, and when i moved in the rug all over the stairs was dirty. The good: The warranty team led by John and the last construction manager Mauricio (our construction manager changed 4 times) are good and responsible people. The bad: Almost everything else. Cheap material, poor build quality, irresponsible construction site maintenance. Pulte seemed to have hired some of the most irresponsible contractors, and used the lowest quality material for items like windows, gates, trim pieces, or anything that has no upgrade option. Moved in and had to deal with issues within a month related to build quality that left our new home damaged. Pulte was trying to deflect responsibilities and made the whole experience very frustrating. I don't think I would trust them again and would not recommend them.

House is built. That's about it. Mail never registered address, internet utility missing and no observable progress to rectify the situation, generally good finishing on the house, but many obvious ones that stick out. Slow responses, still too many open and documented matters to address.

I thought the home materials were good quality. Not even a month after moving in the bathroom sink basin got a big Crack. Pulte is unable to fix it because it didn't happen during closing. I doubt I'll buy a Pulte home again. Everyone should beware and pay close attention to the finishes if choosing Pulte.

Stressful process

Pulte share all beautiful things when you make the purchase… but after you sign… begin all the lies about the problems in construction. Pulte don’t give real answer. All excuses. Bad workmanship and materials. We have open like 50 items to replace by warranty. Not small. We have like floor bathrooms, drywalls, paint. So stressful. Pulte it doens't care about all the issues in the community. We hace security problems because the gate is always for construction. And they don’t care.

I moved into my brand new home that was never cleaned after the construction team. I feel as though nothing but your company being paid is a priority and can honestly say I will never buy a Pulte home again. There was nothing enjoyable about this experience.

Aggressive Misdirection

Pulte Mortgage was very aggressive in getting approvals through VA. Even though we had not chosen them as our lender. New home construction standards does not provide insulation over the garage and entrance way; uses 2x4's vice 2x6's ceiling joists over the 3-car garage; and no baseboards provided throughout our home. Pulte is cutting quality to increase their profit, but cost is increased to highest sales price. Once purchased, the warranty repairs are very slow with poor communications.

Pulte does a good job at sales and financing. The house was well built, but follow up on open items after closing is terrible. We closed six weeks ago and were told that landscaping and grass would be done quickly. So far nothing has been done, and we can't even get a expected timeframe. The sales and financial experience with Pulte is awful! Starting from the purchase: we designed our home without knowing about other houses that fit our lifestyle better. Since moving in; we have heard nothing from our sales representative. The design center has no idea how to assist a new buyer. They are supposedly design consultants .. not sure where the consulting comes from. Do your research. They won’t help! Purchase a $700k home means nothing. Pulte finance .. do not use. Awful!! They are misleading and do not care about you as a buyer. The house .. however .. beautiful!

The amount of mistakes that had to be redone and corrected was astronomical. It was the norm for things to get done two or three times before they were done in an acceptable manner. And even this wouldn't have happened without us insisting. We noticed workers of all ages and even children and woman doing work. No wonder the exterior paint was a mess, and sloppy work observed. Communication Between Pulte Parties and home buyers needs an overhaul.

First off, I understand supply chain issues and have considered that in my review. Our main issue was communication between sales team, project manager, and us. I feel like a lot of things that were caught would not have been caught if we hadn't stopped by the house so much. Many times we knew more about the build than the Pulte team did. A lot of their sub contractors are sub-par after hearing all about the Pulte standards that they have to meet. The AV company they use is a joke and leaves you a mess of wires after charging you over $2,000. My turf was just thrown down with some spots ...

Several plantings in yard were dead when I moved in. I was told there is not an warranty. I find that unacceptable. Any place you buy a plant or tree there is a warranty.
