Build quality is not as per standard. The material used is one of the worst. it is available in market with much cheaper ratesAlso, the construction manager never responds after the house is closed. One of the not so good experience.

Our experience with Pulte had positives and negatives. We chose to build with Pulte because of the lot location and available floor plans, not because of a favorable Pulte reputation. We knew we were taking a chance, but hopeful Pulte would raise their standards with our more expensive home. Some good, some bad!

Great experience with our sales person, Vanessa. Always there for us, even after closing and made the process smooth. Our superintendent Morrison was all promises and no results. Warranty is touch and go with our warranty rep having communication issue but when we involve his boss, repairs start to happen! Our home had 49 items for warranty and even the warranty rep said he was shocked it closed in the condition it did when he came over. This is my 19th house and I’d have to say, it’s probably the worst quality of all of them.

Have everything in writing that is promised before signing any agreement. Once you sign everybody acts like they have amnesia. The overall home is good for there price point I feel like they can put more into workmanship we had a lot of sheet rock imperfections half million dollar home you would think you would get a level 5 finish not the case. They sprayed cheap flat paint throughout the whole house ceiling and walls and they don’t paint the garage. What was supposed to be a dream come true. Has become a nightmare

The process to get things corrected after we closed has been a nightmare. It has been determined that the master bathroom shower and floor has to be demolished and redone, tile backsplash in our kitchen has to be ripped out and redone, had to repair a brand new dryer four times, crown molding poorly done in some areas and cabinets weren’t installed correctly and majority of the hardware for the cabinets weren’t installed properly and cabinets have to be replaced. What a nightmare

The overall experience hasn't been great and I would not see myself recommending Pulte to anyone. We bought an existing home that was in the middle of being finished that another homeowner walked away from. First of all this builders scheduled the celebration walk through. We live out of state so we booked tickets, hotel and a car, then the week prior they said they were closed for a holiday yet they were the ones who booked the walk through date and time. Very disappointment, Poor workmanship!

Good building materials but very poor workmanship or poor contractors. Almost everything are heavily scratch after they finished installing (doors, windows, sink, bathtub, door handle .....). 3 sprinkler unit were buried sideways, some of units buried too low. There are many hairline cracks on the floor before we move in (bedroom, patio, garage). The cracks length from 1 foot to 8 feet and we was told those cracks are hydration cracks but I believe these are the foundation issues and it does come with 10 years foundation warranty, they don't do anything until the cracks 1/4 inch.

First time homebuyer experience with Pulte Homes

The experience with our salesperson, David was fantastic. Everything else was average or even subpar. At the closing, we only received one working key for our new home. The other 2 keys were uncut. We were told the proper keys would be sent in the mail instantly and over a month later they were not sent out. After contacting them again, they mailed us 2 keys but they did not fit the lock so we ended up buying a new door lock and installing it ourselves. Buying experience was great! Pulte does a great job of that initial days leading up to buying. The workmanship and home quality on the other hand was quite poor. From a large number of polish and quality issues to installation errors, it's been a journey from one problem to the other. The warranty and support staff do their best to smooth out the kinks, but the initially bad experience still leaves a bad taste. I'd expected much better from Pulte. Problems with AC, smoke detector, completing things that should have been done before Settlement, inability to access warranty website and no one answers the phone during normal business hours. Omar, Dale, and Jason are great, but I believe many others simply don’t care about doing a good job or even feel like working at all.

Pulte does an exceptional job on the front in selling the home however the experience post sell is horrible. To get things accomplished is like a second job. It's unfortunate the repairs/warranty items become a line item. Pulte attempts to hold out on repairs until homeowners give up

There were several major issues with my home which caused closing to get pushed back multiple times. My original construction manager Terran was not helpful at all and tried to get me to close on an unsatisfactory home. He was only interested in being rated a 9 or 10 and not in actually helping me fix the problems with my home. Over promised and underachieved

Quality Assurance after the build was non-existent, many of the problems caught by me should have been caught during the final QA such a gas leak discovered by the gas company after I moved in, front door improperly cut around door lock, garage door that would not close, no HVAC supply in one of the upstairs bedroom closets, paint, plaster and grease all over most of the window frames, paint all over interior door hardware and switch and outlet plates. I really have no confidence in any of the inspections performed by Pulte.

We had many issues throughout our process. We signed our contract prior to the rapid increase in interest rates. We enjoyed the customization options provided and going to the design center. However as we approached closing our appraisal came in well below the contracted price (over $100k). This had “never happened before” and they would work to make it right. Being in the construction business we came away somewhat appalled at the lack of communication and the lack of workmanship from the start of the home to the closing of the house. The house was not in move in condition when we had to close which in turn took numerous days to clean before moving in!

The house is built in good area. The quality of materials is not very good and it seems like company tried to save as much as possible on material used. It is hard get ahold and f somebody to fix issues. Options purchased were not installed.

Corner cutting is way too much esp at things like paint, insulation fills, windows, floor material, quality of cabinets etc. I upgraded a lot of these but still the quality was not good.

Troubled development it seems

We purchased a new home, that sat empty for a year. Several buyers went under contract and then lost their financing. This was a fast move for our family and sadly I didn't go through the house with a strong discerning eye. This house is a thousand cuts, so to speak. Never Building With Pulte Again

This was our second time building with Pulte. The first time was seemless. This time it was a nightmare. Numerous lies were told by our first sales person, which led to multiple delays in our process. I always recommend Pulte to potential home builders, but now I definitely do not recommend Pulte.

A lot of promises on deadlines and work - No followthrough

The home seems to be priced well, compared to the competition, however, this came with a lot of sacrificed quality and workmanship. The final product workmanship is bad, we walked the entire home pointing out to all defects and bad things, and 5-10% of it was redone, all the blue tape we placed for hours was simply removed and no work was done. We had someone inspecting the house when this took place and they saw the contractors that were supposed to do the work simply remove all the tapes and walk away.
