Rushed Build

We recently built a house with Pulte. I cannot say we got the value we paid for our home. All of the trim work was in really rough shape. We had to hire an external painter to come in and fix a lot of the trim, mudding, and painting. It is still not fixed correctly, because it was just too much to get done and would have cost a fortune (since we did not want to have all of the trim ripped out and redone.) I feel like this is not something I should have had to pay for considering my house almost cost half of a million dollars. The whole building process was very rushed and you can see that in ...

I wanted a less stressed home buying experience, that's why I went with new build. But it seemed I had to put in more work on quality control work because the builder didn't. They need to work on their contractors. Lots of obvious misses. The build manager is responsive and easy to work with, but I shouldn't have to bother him too much.

Sales associate didn't give correct information regarding credit from pulte. He was abrupt with his tone and demeanor. His answered were ambiguous and lacked proper communication. I would not recommend eddy skyes to a future homebuyer.

I’m not happy with the craftsmanship of the work done in the house. I feel like the whole building process was rushing and affected the final product. All contractors came to do their job and run to the next place without proper quality assurance. My experience was a constant effort to tell Pulte to fix things according to my standard expectations of buying a new house (considering this is the third house I bought). And finally, the materials used were traditional. Nothing special regarding the materials used.

Very disappointed in quality of workmanship. Also qualify of some materials questionable. Great example. We have been in the house less than 2 months and already replacing all the main level flooring. Cheap quality material and noticed many blemishes that were not addressed at installation. Even worse, as I was removing the flooring, there was little evidence that any dirt and debris was cleaned up before the flooring was installed.

While we love our home and our field manager- the outsourced help was the problem during the build and many times things were fixed fast and not right. We are still waiting on a punch list of about 10 items 2 months later, with no end in sight. If we ever build again, it won’t be with Pulte

My home buying experience with Pulte was generally a good partnership. I've been in my townhouse just about 3 months, I really like my townhome and during the first month the Pulte building team was awesome responding to requests and issues I contacted them about. Lately, I keep finding evidence that Pulte used CHEAP materials in the building of my home. For instance, I found out that they used the lowest grade paint throughout the interior, I'll have to paint probably within first year because what's on the walls is only what's known as a base paint - that's according to the paint shop ...

The home building process was good. Had few minor issues before the closing which the field manager had taken into account and said he would get them fixed. But the field manager has only done a few and still lot more left to fix, but he does not respond to emails anymore.

Overall the house is great but there have been many issues and many warranty calls within the first month of ownership. The house was rushed to be completed and it very clearly shows. The field managers we worked with were great and I don't have anything negative to say about them. Our sales rep wasn't very responsive or helpful though.

The "celebration walk" and the closing date is too short, the list to fix things identified during the walk was not 100% completed but we still have to check the "complete to my satisfaction" in order to have the closing signed and we can moving in a.s.a.p. I still have 2 issues not solve yet after the closing. For seniors not familiar with online app from the computer, don't expect help from the foreman to solve these issues for you, even a simple ones. The responsiveness to the issues after closing is almost none.

Quality construction but major issues with service requests and completion of items promised before closing.

Field managers tell you what you want to hear but do not follow through with service requests. Multiple items that should have been taken care of before closing were not and still are not 3 months later. COVID has caused some understandable delays but the company is not up front with communication and realistic time frames. Also no one is managing the many companies involved during the move in period and the homeowner is left to fend for themselves, to keep on top of contractors to complete a task.

Over all I am happy to have a home but they rush yo build the home and are sloppy with there craftsmanship. When we walkthrough the home with the site manager, he tells us to mark area with red tape and they will come back and fix it. They never fix it but the removed the tape as if they did. The site manager rushed us to fill out a survey. Saying the home was complete. He kept bothering us to fill it out. Once I filled it out. I didn’t hear anything back for him. We still have problems with the home. I font know what to do

We have an issue with mud. Mud from the lot next to us is flooding over to our lot. The mud is about 1 and a half to 2ft deep. It runs the length of our backyard. This mud patch never dries. It is a very very bad smelling mud. 100% because of improper containment and barrier of adjacent lot that is not built yet. This has caused a nightmare for us when our two dogs go out to do their business. They are tracking mud and sand back in to the house everyday. This has been a constant battle for a few months now.Kinda takes the shine and joy out of buying a new house. Our construction manager Nate ...
