Great buyers exp. TERRIBLE quality control and follow through.

We went into contract and closed in April, the house seemed great when I flew over and walked it. However it seems after talking to neighbors and my own experiences you’re better off buying one built and not in process because they rush it and leave so many issues trying to get it to the finish line. I’d rather it be late than deal with what I have going on. The overall quality control is terrible. Trim plates in devices are crooked, they’re cut because boxes were installed too close to doors and the door trim made the switch plates not fit so they cut them down and caulked it. As an ...

The spec home that they walk you through is no where near what you get. Had our home been shown when we decided to purchase, we would never have made the commitment. Very poor quality and workmanship. Sloppy workmanship and home was dirty (no where near move in ready) Far too many issues to name. Our new home purchase was a stressful and anything but a good experience. Our hope is that everything will be taken care of satisfactorily. We will see. Gianni has been great to work with. We appreciate him.

Disappointing Results after waiting 20 months for delivery

In short, do not buy a Pulte home. In the first month, we’ve experienced leaky pipes, improper grading to the land resulting in water pooling around front and side yards, and a number of other issues a new home should not have. Fingerprints from workers are in multiple places, paint has chipped from multiple bedroom and bathroom doors, etc. Again this is a new home. We asked other builders about Pulte prior to signing with Pulte and they had glowing remarks. Also, the sales rep offered an additional concession if I could find a lender who didn’t require what Pulte’s lender was requiring ...

Before move in, our Pulte sales rep was not able to answer many questions, and at times provided incorrect information. After move in, there have been a number of issues with the house, generally minor, that are chalked up to poor craftsmanship. Poor flooring installation, thin paint with visible drywall tape, visible gaps between drywall sheets, non functional appliances. Working with our construction manager was at times effective, and other times we would get no response at all. A pulte warranty rep called us and rambled for 10 minutes about why some issues will be ignored by her team, ...

AC leakage, power outlet not working

I moved in before three weeks and within three weeks I had issues to start with Garage door making noise , cabinets in kitchen were coming off from the holder ,big crack in the master suite counter top. Yesterday I turned my AC and it didnot work . AC tech has come and identified that there is a gas leak and AC won’t work unless they fix it. This means they need to cut open the entire home drywall to find out the location of leak and then re work . This is not definitely an exp a first time home buyer would expect. I would not recommend Pulte

Multiple project managers, moving of my closing date 3-4 times, dead raccoon in my new build that took 1.5 months to resolve and the solution was my initial solution from the beginning. Many issues left open with home after closing. Unfortunately this is 180 degree different when I built with another company. This was post pandemic build boom and expected better finishing work. I just hope the warranty department reputation isn’t as bad as I have heard and the issues will get resolved timely.

This is my first experience with Pulte. I have been less than impressed. With this home I upgraded several options and unfortunately many of the upgraded options were executed poorly in the build process. This left a lengthy list of items to complete post closing and severe buyer’s remorse. I have been in my home almost 60 days now and am still having challenges with some of the subcontractors to complete their assigned task correctly. I understand there is a labor shortage so things take time, but there is no excuse for poor craftsmanship. Several of the outstanding items are a result of ...

The quality does not reflect the price increases, homes are being sold for 6-700k+ but the lack of attention to detail is disappointing. Simple things like sanding down doors before painting them isn't done. The sense of urgency for repairs has dropped to almost zero now that I've closed on my house. My house is still filled with blue tape and has issues that aren't being resolved.

House was unfinished and we were rushed to close…

The house still has many unfinished issues and we were rushed to close. All along the way we were assured that the issues were to be addressed. Not until after our physical move in have the remaining issues been tended to, thanks to Toney in Customer Care. Construction and the pre closing department need to finish before giving the sign off for closing. Nick, our construction manager, was aware of unfinished issues. He never should have given the go ahead to close. Furthermore, he and the other construction managers seem to have NO oversight. Someone should be overlooking the job - or lack ...

Be cautious of the “quick move in’s” ours was supposed to be ready in November. Which is why we purchased this home. Did move in till middle of February. Sales agent didn’t even bother to show up on closing day, yet we saw on documents the commission amount. No one was there to explain any HOA details, how to make payment, etc. A few items in house did not work. Still waiting to be fixed.

It's worst and I am not going to think again going ever with Pulte Homes. The quality of materials was fair at best. Multiple repaints and touchups needed. The molding down the basement steps were gapping with a width at the bottom of 2.5 inches and top 1.5 inches. Was told this was the Standard with Poulti and local staff not allowed to change. As I write this we have handymen putting down molding for safety and a finished look. Our Handy men were shocked by the lack of finish. They were not complimentary with the product. One said if this was done right, I would not be here. One of the most frustrating experiences of my life building with this company. Inconsistent oversight of subcontractors. Lack of transparency with issues. Poor communication during the build process. We regularly experienced delays or difficulty communicating with our construction manager, Logan. During the construction process of our almost $800K home, he was often unresponsive for days or weeks at a time and only responded after several follow-ups when cc'ing everyone we'd talked to from Pulte. Whenever we met in person, Logan wouldn't take notes about our concerns and smirked at our concerns about poor finish quality and workmanship.
