The Central Point community appears very nice, but the interiors of the homes are not as attractive as they should be due to a lack of high quality workmanship. Additionally, my home buying experience with Pulte Homes was very disappointing. My celebration walkthrough was performed while my home was incomplete and while there were serious paint issues everywhere. I also required multiple independent home inspections before being able to feel comfortable with my purchase, and I did not appreciate being rushed to sign on my home before a passing inspection was obtained. We are still finding nails sticking out of our stairway, one of our bathrooms is missing a piece of shower curtain pole, trash from workers always needing to get picked up, back yard isnt flat. Those are just to name a few.

Pulte is refusing to address poor insulation in the home that is resulting in excessive heat in the loft and extreme noise from the road behind my home even though I was required to pay for upgraded windows and insulation. They also refused to address high radon levels in my home which is a known problem in the entire development.

For the price paid our expectations were higher. We are unfortunately frustrated and surprised by the lack of responsiveness to multiple concerns we had and have now. Hoping for some resolution sooner than later.

After closing the house .. Pulte Doesnt respond to there customers and lot of negligence

Pulte builds a fine house. However, their warranty folks and mortgage company make owning the house such a pain.

Overall the experience was not as good as it should have been. It was very hard to get responses from the customer service representatives for the neighborhood and they were not ready for us to move in come the closing date. Throughout the build, we would get a weekly or bi-weekly update via phone to discuss progress but were never provided pictures when we weren't even in the same state for much time during the building process. The overall attention to detail was not great when it was time for us to move in. Even though we had asked for things to be fixed during our final inspection a week before closing, which also wasn't even close to being ready for inspection (they were still painting, fixing problems, and cleaning when we showed up), not everything was fixed properly. Instead of pushing out the closing date and needing to reschedule the moving company and all of the plans that were set in stone for months because we thought 6 months was enough time to do everything properly, we decided to get in the house and fix things ourselves. You would think contractors who build multiple homes at the same time non-stop would see there mistakes and do a almost perfect job every time but that is not even close to the truth. It is disappointing to find new problems or details after spending so much money on what is supposed to be a brand new home. Read the reviews on this site very carefully. The mortgage process was a teeth grinding nightmare; however, the loan consultant was the saving grace. Mortgage processor asked for information piecemeal and how many times do you need to check with an underwriter for someone who is close to a credit score of 800? Title insurance was wonderful. The pre-drywall walk through was well done with considerable knowledge and helpful detail shared. While there is no doubt the structure is well built, some interior finishes are low quality, overpriced and contractor final work is sloppy. If there are quality checks on interior contractor work it’s not done to the highest regard as the house structure itself. There was ceiling paint on hardwood floors and the marble fireplace that I needed to remove. Kitchen cabinet uppers have chips where handles have been screwed in, dents and one has a screw end visible beneath where the molding was attached. The water from the fridge and kitchen faucet tastes terrible and has a plastic odor. After repeated follow up on the issues, one to the customer care manager (no reply) and a colleague (3 follow ups), I’m advised the water is piped the same as every home out here and it’s definitely safe. Hmmm..so why does it smell and taste so bad. The rest of the items need to wait 11 months. These are basic things that the builder should own and rectify without delay. Sadly, very disappointed. ... We had a difficult issue with Pulte, as they reneged on their own contract, causing closing delays. Do not buy from them without using your OWN lender and title company!!!

The sales process was smooth. The quality of the finishing, (trim work, tile installation, painting) was low in my opinion. The superintendent for my build came across as helpful but his follow through has been poor as far as making sure the finishing issues are resolved. Unfortunately some of the repair work has resulted in more damage/poor workmanship than before the repair. The house closing was moved up 3 weeks from its original date and the quality of the final product seems to have be sacrificed to make this happen.

I bought a $1.2m home and had a field construction supervisor INTENTIONALLY damage my home and property, I have photo evidence and no one seemed to care. You think that is hyperbole but it's not.

Within a month of living in the home we have had multiple issues with electric work, plumbing, garage door, seals for faucets and floors, nails sticking out in the carpets. I believe we’ve had 4 different electricians that have had to come fix things and 2 different plumbers for multiple issues. I would highly suggest anyone who is purchasing get their own third party inspector to make sure work is done correctly. Warranty manager has been quick with scheduling people to get issues fixed but there shouldn’t have been so many issues to begin with

I am been having a couple of issues and had to contact multiples times and will be already two month and not been fixed.

Pulte needs to slow way down on the build process. While we have found Pulte responsive to fixing things, it seems we are always discovering things that aren't right. It definitely does not make us feel like our investment matters when we see so many cut corners and inconsistencies.

The quality of work I feel is sub par for the price of the house. They rush you through closing and the buyer pays a penalty if they delay closing for any reason, but the Pulte can delay without recourse. We moved into an unfinished home, unpainted exterior, and 8 weeks later, still no sod and an incomplete punch list. With the weather being a slight factor on some of the above items, I still feel it was poor planning on Pulte's part. My advice to new home buyers with Pulte is to stay on top of them every step of the way. Do not settle for less than you expect and keep pushing them. In the end, we are happy with our home, despite the issues and unfinished list... We will keep pushing to get everything completed. They do complete the work, it just takes many attempts and follow ups... ... More

I was very disappointed with the attention to detail, or lack thereof, that was placed into my home. I have been through home builds before, but this one was not favorable by any means. For the amount we paid, you would have thought that there would have been multiple eyes onsite to ensure quality control was happening. Instead we have damaged wood all over the place, specifically little chips throughout our craftsman trim, and paint that looks like an orange peels texture. I don’t understand why this happened as I pointed it out on several occasions. I don’t think it’s acceptable to receive a home that has wood filled in with “mud” or some filler - but the project manger specifically told me that the FROG often gets overlooked. I also don’t see how Pulte sells a craftsman trim, but somehow leaves trim nails sticking out in 3/4 of the doorways, slightly ironic. I had to call out the drywall on multiple occasions as there were spots that weren’t properly finished or dings and dents that were completely overlooked. The orange peel paint is probably one of the most aggravating things to look at considering it was probably the easiest to remedy at the time of application. The legs of our island were damaged and dented - of which had I not called it out, I would have been stuck with it. The cabinet paint was dinged up by the workers. I had to pitch a small fit over considering it’s the focal point of the house. Our yard also was missing a bunch of sod and it has been a fight since our closing to get this done, which is still an outstanding item. The moral of the story here is buyer beware and pay very close attention. You would think you would get what you pay for, but then again, not so much these days. Takes several follow up calls to get response. Unwilling to mitigate noise issue emanating from Pulte owned model next to our new build. Four year old pool motor left on 24/7 and rattles. Attitude that we should take up with future purchaser of the model home rather than current owner (Pulte)..."not their problem". So beware of buying a model or spec already built.

I had to switch lots because the front elevation of my original home was drastically changed and would no longer allow access for my physically handicapped family members. There was no communication from Pulte about the change, I discovered it during my initial walk through, after construction had begun. The new lot was a compromise on my part, as it did not have the same benefits as the original, but I decided to go with it. Switching lots slightly delayed my closing date, but I was mostly able to transfer everything over from the original contract. Upon closing, the tiles in my bathrooms had to be ripped out and replaced because they were wrong and I spent the first few days in my new home allowing access to tilers. I have a laundry list of items that will need to be addressed through the warranty. Everything from crummy paint jobs to crooked installations. While many things do look nice, there are also a great many details that look like they were lazily slapped together. One reason I chose my new lot was because it had no rear neighbors. I was told the area behind the home would remain green and lush with trees and grass. Less than one month after closing, my HOA fees went up $30/month because they “forgot” to add insurance to the monthly assessments. Less than 2 months after I moved in, the green area, newly planted trees, and quiet bike path behind my home were ripped out to make way for a parking lot. The beautiful, natural view I was promised would never change is now a dirt pile awaiting ugly asphalt and concrete, to be filled with strangers’ cars, not 10 feet away from my driveway. There has been no communication from Pulte about the change, I have been trying to get information from them on how/why this decision was made, and how/why Pulte feels they can change an agreement after they’ve taken our money. Not to mention they’ve been working on this parking lot for almost two weeks, and the heavy equipment being used has been shaking and rattling my home to the point that pictures have fallen off the walls and items are being shaken off of shelves. I am angry and frustrated with Pulte for one instance after another of pulling the rug out from under their customers. The ladies who work in the sales office have been as kind and helpful as possible, but they can only do so much. Pulte needs to step up and treat their customers with integrity and honesty, and keep their word instead of changing the terms after a contract is signed. ... More

Looks nice but the not really satisfy with the quality of product used. Lots of cosmetic things are unfinished. Tried to reach the builder but said to contact costumer service, did but no response.

When we moved into the condo, we found two problems that should never have happened. First they installed the wrong size damper on the heat (net result, no heat on the first floor and too much on the second). Four days later, the problem was fixed. Second, when the closet shelves were installed, the drilled through a PVC waste pipe. The leak is now fixed, but I am still waiting for them to repair the closet.

Me and my fiancé had a very difficult time with our mortgage consultant and I highly recommended that you check in regularly because communication was not good at all in my experience. The house is great although we’ve had a hard time getting people to fix little things that’s in the warranty

My family needed a quick move in ready home, and the original buyer of our home was unable to perform. We love most of the layout (would have nixed the 5th bedroom in favor of a loft or bonus room, and would have liked a tub in the master bath) and the builder was willing to make a few last minute cosmetic changes for us. That being said after moving in there is poor craftsmanship and quality everywhere. And Pulte is unbelievably cheap!!! CHEAP!!! Most of our lightbulbs burnt out within the first few weeks or never worked when we moved in. They dont finish the garage walls. They skimp on the insulation. The planning room had cheap ugly looking laminate instead of quartz to match the rest of the kitchen(we already ripped this out) There are barely any straight walls in the house. There are lots of paint touch ups and dry wall touch ups needed. There are lots of markings and quality issues with the laminate floor. Kitchen island countertop has multiple cracks and damages. Maybe we are more picky than most but I probably would not build with Pulte unless I could be there every step of the way to supervise and make sure its done right from the beginning. I appreciate Pulte wanting to give blind construction workers job opportunities but I think going forward they should at least hire people who can draw straight lines and count to 10. (excuse my sarcasm) . Pulte sales people were nice and helpful and made it easy to find a quick house, but for half a million dollars I expected much much better. ... More
