Disappointing experience

The built process started ok, the foundation was laid without letting me know, so by the time I learned about it, it was already laid so I missed the opportunity to see the first step. Then the whole process went as offered time wise but the materials and the workmanship has been poor, walls crooked and with lots of paint drippings and scratches, finishes with multiple problems, the cabinets in all kitchen and bathrooms of really poor quality and workmanship, crooked or scratched. There was a big bump on the border of the roof above the garage door that the PM didn't see either, that had to ...

We were happy initially with the support from Pulte and also quite happy with the house when we recieved it. However on the day of closing we have a list of things not done and even after one month they are stlili pending. i can say its sad to see this kind of customer service post sale

Do not close until all issues are resolved. We experienced a clogged sewer line from a worker's rag one week after moving in. Our AC is not working properly in June in Texas 1 month after closing. Punch list items are ignored, you'll need to handle them yourself.

Gorgeous neighborhood. Nice and quiet. Good sales staff. I kind of felt like I was being scammed by the mortgage company. The construction guy was a moron; he did not finished the final walk through list before closing. The majority of items are still unresolved a month later.

Not thrilled with everything for the price. One coat of paint on all the walls. Giant knot holes in wood of basement steps. Carpet racks poking through carpet. Construction seems very rushed. Not what I thought was going to get for the hefty price tag.

Pay very close attention to details when doing the final walk through of your home, making sure everything was finished correctly from the flooring all the way up to the ceiling. Make notes and make sure they follow through to correct any discrepancies.

3rd time Pulte customer and not Happy
- Theodore C.

3rd time building a Pulte home. This last home building experience was terrible. Workmanship was terrible and the materials used super cheap. Nothing was done on time. If you are not persistent nothing will get fixed. You hear the same complaints from the neighbors. No flexibility on adding options after the build is started. Example additional lighting when the electricians have not started wiring the house. I’m shocked Pulte would not reach out or try to accommodate a 3rd time customer. I would not recommend Pulte this time.

The individuals who work for Pulte are great and do their best to correct the poor quality of work done by the subcontractors they hire. We've been in our new house 60 days and we're still waiting on issues to be resolved. Very disappointed in the quality of work by their subcontractors. I would not buy another Pulte home.

The house is beautiful. Materials look great. There’s a lot of little things like loose door frames, dent on walls that were just painted over, there are paint drops from small to big through out the house, the finish on the cabinets have cosmetic flaws the caulking in the bathrooms are already cracked so there’s a lot of cosmetic issues that for the price of the home I would think this should not have been an issue.

Thank you for bringing the cosmetic issues to our attention so we can work to improve in that area. We will share this feedback with our leadership team and encourage you to reach out to us at socialcare@pultegroup.com if you have any additional comments or concerns. --Sarah

Neighbors are great! I am sad to say I am still waiting to be able to use my shower in the master bath. My builder was sent to another area in the process of finishing the issues with my home. He tried but couldn't get contractors out to finish the jobs. You for sure need to keep an eye on the work that's done inside. Like painting inside and out, floors and the doors. Don't take anyone's word it will be taken care of. Don't sign off on anything until it's done!

Horrible Construction Manager and sales rep

Since we are a first time home buyers, we wish we have known or did many things different while dealing with construction manager, he verbally promised to "take care" of the issues I had with the house on the closing day, during next week after the closing but their attitude changed as soon as the house is closed and was very unprofessional later on. had talked to warranty and they said I will have to note the issues down for the one year warranty one time fixes. Should have not closed until everything is fixed, big mistake.
Pulte Homes responded:
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. As first-time homebuyers, you deserved clear communication, professionalism, and follow-through on commitments, especially from your construction manager. It’s understandable how disappointing it is to feel the support changed once the closing was complete. If there's anything we can do to help your experience, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at customersupport@pultegroup.com. Thank you again. ^KH

My home was a “rush” job to close on 40-50 homes at one time. I’ve had nothing but frustration and aggravation from the day I moved in. The finishing is horrendous and I don’t even know where to begin. My white tile floors have residue from grout and tape that cannot be washed off. A crew was sent in to hand clean the mess but it did not solve the problem. I’m still waiting for the floors to be acid washed. That is only one of the issues. The grouting in the shower floor was so bad I actually cut my toe on it. The cabinets throughout need a facial lift because mitered edges are separating. ...

We have multiple issues with the house. First was the A/C which was blowing out cold air from the return. Found that the duct work was backwards. There is no water spickets on the sides or front of the house. So, how do we water the front lawn? The dishwasher does not work, my wife is very mad. there are several spots in the floor of the living room that are not level. Water accumulates in the floor by the back door because there must be a problem with the weather see around the back door to the deck must leak. My wife has been texting the builders rep many times. but he isn't responding. Oh ...

We initially loved our home buying experience -- although the home was finished two full months prior to the date they told us it would be. While for many people that would be a positive, we still had to sell our house so it was a little nerve wracking in that our plans were completely thrown out the window as we had to rush to sell our house. Throughout the building process we were continually told of "build quality" over and over again, yet when you finally move into the house and also sit in the community and watch the hired tradesmen building houses next door and around you, the build ...

I moved into my Pulte home about two months ago. Overall, the experience has been okay, but there have been several issues that I believe are worth mentioning: 1. Leaking shower – It took nearly two months to get this addressed, though it was eventually fixed. 2. Material quality – Some of the finishes feel quite cheap. For instance, the shower rods and towel bars keep coming loose. They’ve been fixed, but the poor installation quality makes this a recurring problem. 3. AC and hot water – Neither were working initially, but they were repaired fairly quickly. 4. Creaking stairs – The ...
