We did a walkthrough of the house even though it was not complete. The house was far from complete; we came up with 4 pages of items to be fixed. Not minor issues but major ones. We flew from NJ to FL to be disappointed with the house. Construction manager kept giving excuses as to why it was not complete.

It’sa good location and have nice floor plans/materials. When they were in a rush (all through 2021 and so far 2022) they made tons of obvious mistakes. It’s clear you’re not a priority. Make sure you get a comprehensive inspection, not just let them push you through a 10 minute “orientation”. My construction manager was abrasive and condescending, but I know that’s not true of all of them… (first one I had actually listened to us and treated us with respect). The beginning of the buying process started out well. The sales rep Raeleen was very helpful Finley and friendly. Putting down the earnest money was fairly easy because Porte ahead Pulte did pretty good online tools. Contracts we signed promises were made to have a home completion around February 2022 timeframe. When February rolled around it was obvious that the house was not going to be completed in the communicated/expected timeline. They missed the inbuilt pest control pipeline for my home. Even though they knew it before they did not inform me at all. Missed removing the test caps which ended up water outflow from my lawn and washer-dryer area. No proper installations, everything was made in hurry.

Do not close until everything is done

Once you close on your home they do not respond to your issues as they should. I’ve been here for 2 months and still waiting on simple things that I pointed out thru the walk through of the home. I would not recommend buying a new home from Pulte, and if you do, DO NOT close until they have completed your checklist, after that you are no longer a priority. Not happy, house is pretty but workmanship is sloppy.

Poor workmanship on half million $+ homes

We have been SHOCKED at the poor workmanship on our almost $600k home! We were cornered into signing off on celebration day that the house was satisfactorily completed. It was not but we were told it would be. Lies! Every contractor we’ve brought in since we closed in May has commented on the shotty work or the short cuts taken or the lack of attention to detail that they are seeing in our brand new home. It’s a sickening feeling to hear this over and over about what was supposed to be our dream home.

Disappointed in the purchase and receipt of the property.

Increase in the value of the property overnight, even with our verbal acceptance the day before, we were forced to accept the new price. Lack of support at closing when the appraisal established a lower value than the contracted value. Delay in responding to warranty calls, and always directing us to resolve directly with the manufacturers, not giving us any support with this. No action by the construction company to solve the problem that everyone in the condominium is facing with high water bills.

Be prepared to be a project manager if you decide to build here. We experienced multiple misrepresentations, poor communication, and very little accountability. We fully understand supply shortages and labor issues but the poor communication was fully within the team’s control. We constantly had to request updates and track product delays ourselves. They constantly weaponized our closing date whenever we attempted to hold them accountable for build errors, missing items, and damages to our home. I’m just glad it’s over and can put this experience with Melissa and Matt behind us.

I am dissatisfied with the overall buying experience. I was definitely being sold but not informed. When changes were made on my property, I was not notified. Once I moved into the home I was disappointed with the finished quality of the product. The construction crew that built my house did not care about having a quality finished product. Shortcuts were taken all over the house. They are putting too many houses up too quickly with poor craftsmanship.

Our closing was delayed majorly, and we were not even given a closing date until two days before closing. After closing, we are not getting any prompt responses for the issues we're facing. It has been two weeks since I raised an issue with warranty team without any helpful update until now. I'm not sure it pulte was good earlier, but I can't imagine other builders being worse than this.

Pulte is using sloppy contractors and generally doesn’t care about their customers post purchase. They installed lots of already brown, most dead sod that is not coming back to life and 2 weeks of daily watering and accused me of not watering enough despite my day 1 proof with photos and my water bill detailed usage graph, then their sod contractor came and literally yelled in my face and they are refusing to replace the dead sections they installed. Was very disappointed with the quality of construction. Warranty calls for walls and ceilings to be level within a quarter inch within 4 feet and many of them are beyond that threshold. Had to modify installations of appliances at our cost due to the fact the ceilings are way off level. Many walls are also bowed , not straight within the Warrenty threshold. Way too much covering up things and hoping this customer would be satisfied. Company should be called Just Good Enough

Plan on spending some time and money fixing all the things that are delivered just "good enough" by Pulte - floors went in first and weren't protected, gaps around outlets and switches, one coat of paint that is paper thin, and overall such a disappointment. Wouldn't recommend Pulte to anyone. Focus is on selling homes as fast as possible - no one cares about quality of product.

Closing date was constantly pushed back. Issues before and after move in have not been completed. Very stressful and upsetting experience. Not one issue has been fixed. These issues are still in progress ( almost all cabinet doors and draws need to be replaced, front door crack needs to be replaced, 5 trees fallen over need to be replaced, land water issue----that's just a few)

Installed dead grass for a new house and AC is not functional in one room

We were rushed to closing. We submitted third party inspection report before closing that grass is not healthy and need to be replaced. I was told it just needs some sun and would turn green soon after closing. I trusted and approved final walk. But the grass never turned green. When i requested in warranty they are currently pushing back to even add it in warranty

Great looking homes but not so great to live in

Pros: - Appearance and layout of home - Sales staff and build manager are responsive, informative and easy to work with - Base selection options (appliances, cabinets, flooring etc) were generally all decent quality - Builder's mortgage was competitive and great to work with (always shop around other loan estimates) Cons: - Horrendous impact sound insulation. If you have neighbors, especially upstairs/downstairs you WILL hear every footstep, door opening and cabinet closing they do. I can't emphasize enough how poor the sound insulation is, I would be more than happy to pay a higher sales ...

Pulte was not honest about deadlines, poor workmanship, many errors made ( like crooked outlets/ switch plates, unsatisfactory trim work, poor paint job, poor grout work (excess grout everywhere)). Over promised and under delivered.

We are very disappointed with our pulte purchase. During our pre-construction meeting we were showed by our project manager plygem fold out windows we were getting with the house. After we moved in, we discovered pulte switched out all of the windows without our knowledge. No email or phone call. The windows we received do not fold out. We asked pulte about replacing the windows and they refused. We also had no hot water when we moved in. We had to call an emergency plumber to get hot water.
