Pretty bad experience, poor service quality by the builder.

Poor Build quality and is way below from phase 1 homes. There were a lot of issue due at closing, promised to resolve and is now no one owns it and is a service requests that never gets resolved or taken care of. Service requests created 45 days ago are still not resolved. Matt the build manager, is very keen on hiding the issues at the walk, than having them resolved. Bricks around the home are stained different and do not match and the issue still exits and Matt promised to take care at the closing and now bears no responsibility. There were no highlights only one problem after the next

A lot of the angle cuts on boards in the roof structure were very poor. A lot of drywall screws were sunk to deep. They don’t tie all the corners together structurally resulting in cracks in more than 3/4 of the corners. Doors not hung properly allowing for visibility from outside a room.Defective patio door that they didn’t want to deal and passed it on to warranty which still hasn’t been fixed. Pre-sales and sales experience was good – responsive, knowledgeable staff Design choices were pretty clear and the team was quite helpful After that, things went down-hill quickly Communication during the build process is pretty non-existent. At points we were just told blatant lies. Expect the refrain “we’re better than the other construction companies”… doesn’t mean “good” – just less bad? We had a horrible experience with Pulte. They tried to make us close when the house was nowhere near being complete. Their quality of workmanship is horrible and subpar. We’ve had so many issues in the house. We honestly would probably never build with Pulte again and this is $1 million house. I can imagine what they do for less expensive homes.

Would never build with Pulte again!!

The number of problems that we have had in our home have been too many to count. Not only do we have some rather large problems, such as cabinets being gouged, doorbell never working, gas leaking from fireplace, etc, but getting these issues fixed seems to be nearly impossible.

Multiple issues were identified prior to the closing and now 5 weeks after closing, 80% of them are still outstanding. Multiple emails and phone calls have been made attempting to resolve these matters. Poor craftsmanship across the board. Very disappointed and frustrated. I expected more from Pulte.

Substandard House for a hefty price tag

The house is built very substandard, from the materials chosen to the workmanship. The house is completely out of square, we have had multiple failures, The worst is the contractors poured thinset down the toilet blocking the pipes, (Still not fixed a month later), so that bathroom can not be used. I would NEVER purchase a home from Pulte again!

Information withheld prior to purchase. Some poor quality materials. Landscaping is horrible - trees are dead after only two-three months in the ground! Cheapest grass in Florida.

At the beginning of the build everyone was OK. Once we signed and moved in we have had very bad response for issues in the home.

Make sure you inspect every aspect of your home build. We found numerous things wrong ( including beer cans in our walls). We found out that the flooring company Pulte uses has a D- rating. Once you sign the walk through papers you will not have much luck getting things repaired in a timely manner.

Poor Work Quality, Cannot Trust Them

For the price I paid for my brand new Pulte home, I could have bought a used house and still do the fixes that I'm doing on this one. Poor work/finish quality, even after the walk through they missed to fixed stuff (holes on walls, cracked door frames, very bad painted doors. "Construction Managers", and i put them on quote because they are more of Project Managers, they just coordinate for other vendors to do stuff, and they don't even verify the quality or the completeness of the job. Would never build with Pulte again

The only bright spot was Tim the construction manager. He was fantastic to work with and a real professional. The subs used in our development were the worst I have seen. (This is our 3rd build - plus one rebuild after hurricanes. Paint on the floors, walls not level and/or straight, paver contractor was horrible, electrical problems throughout the house and more. I would never build with them again, nor would I recommend Pulte or their sister companies to anyone.

Final product was not in good shape. Entire countertop has to be replaced due to chips and wrong cutouts around cabinets. New HVAC installed in the wrong place, TWICE. One HVAC sounds like it is blowing up when it starts and stops. Upgraded ceiling fan in family room installed 15 feet in the air with pull chains. Seriously? Pulte mortgage continued to hound us for documents when we hadn't even sold both our homes. Work order placed for 10 various items on Oct 3rd. Have reached out countless times with no response. Quality of workmanship is absolutely horrible! Responsiveness to getting the repairs done on the punch list is terrible. I've never experienced such a terrible new home purchase. I would not recommend Pulte Homes.

We love the house location and design. The problem we have with Pulte is that it is the most unethical company I have ever done business with. If we brought up any issues during construction we were always told that is the way it's supposed to be. We were lied to repeatedly during the construction process. If you truly cared about my opinion I believe you should have listened during the construction process.

Builder expense trumps quality and customer satisfaction

Overall it is clear that the builder expense trumps quality and customer experience. Examples include garage door wasn’t working. It was determined it was due to electrical line to sensor being damaged in wall. Solution was to run new line outside of the wall and leave it hanging. Garage light and opener are more than an arms length away from door- solution was leave it cause it would be expensive to fix. Not a lot of respect for the buyer, workmanship issue unresolved

Pulte decides when the buyer has a walk through, even if the buyer isn't available. There is no recourse or anyone to receive your requests to simply attend your own buyer walk through. Pulte will change your inspection dates to meet their schedule. Now I have a workmanship issue and no one from Pulte customer care will respond. Go ahead, try to find people from Pulte on the internet. Imagine if you have a problem. You can't find anyone to call. They'll call you every day when you are buying, but can't return a call for poor workmanship.

Disappointing Experience

Very few options for Palmetto Series. Unwilling to budge on anything from cookie cutter plans. Construction Manager was dismissive towards women. He did not listen to concerns until escalated to upper management. Construction defects were grudgingly completed. The various trades did sloppy work. Cheap quality materials.
