The quality of the Lumber, paint grade and paint workmanship is poor. The hard wood floor started chipping within few weeks of moving into the home.

The joy of moving into our brand new "dream home" was short lived as we walked in to find pieces of insulation on the cooktop, dirty sinks and tub, dirty cabinets and windows. There was paint everywhere...on virtually every floor, outlet covers, towel bars, light sconces, etc. Caulking left a lot to be desired as well. Several doors rattle when closed and 1 door misses the strike plate entirely. The master bathroom plumbing backed up within the 1st couple of days (there was a spray paint cap in the drain line somewhere between the master bath and the clean-out). One man cannot take care of the requests at this complex along with 2 or 3 of your other condo complexes. It’s not humanly possible. The main concern of Pulte is build, sell and make money. You have no interest in all the people who have already bought a place. There are a lot of really nice people living here. Many are very disappointed in Pulte. When you call or email you are immediately told to go online to take care of your request. There is no personalization. They are all robots. While I believe that I have made a good investment here, I am disappointed that Pulte has not been honorable in addressing workmanship issues including scratched windows, squeaky floors, inferior paint job, dented appliances, etc. It has been my experience that Pulte waits to see if I notice these deficiencies rather than address them upfront. As I have pointed out the issues, I get pushback as if I’m being overly picky.

Issues identified during home inspections and Build Quality Check, are taking months even after closing is done. The fixes are still pending and needs constant followup to get it fixed and still pending. Keep scheduling every week, but then noone shows up and then the cycle repeats.

Seems they are using lowest bidder on the block for their electrical and Sheetrock. Our ceiling is wavy and will need to be replaced (all of it). This is beyond inconvenient as I’ll have to pack everything up again and clean endlessly. I have electrical issues and Buick’s County Electric is staying my dimming lights whenever I turn something on is “normal”. As I work in the business of construction I know better. Our sales person was outstanding, she was always available with great follow-up and continuous communication. This is in sharp contrast to our Customer Service Manager/Superintendent; It was a constant struggle to have him address builder defects and schedule remediation with subcontractors. He failed to follow up, did not return calls or emails and unlike our sales person, was not an advocate for us. Pulte builds a good home and there are bound to be issues, what makes a difference is how you address the problems after sale and they failed to perform.

Some of the up grades should have been standard like grab bars in bath & shower areas. The cabinet under kitchen sink & bath room vanity’s should have a standard floor in it , leave it up to the buyer how they would like it finished

I would like to see a much greater sense of communication between builder& buyer during construction, it would make for a better experience for new owners. Also after moving in I feel there should be a better response to the owners concerns regarding issues needing repair or attention. A timely response to either an owners phone message or an email message to address issues should be a priority.

The sales, closing and mortgage aspect were great. Getting the items on the punch list from the closing on November 2 and walk thru which happened about a month prior to closing as the date changed are still not completed after several emails and calls. The closet doors are just now getting painted and the wall is not square so I have a gap on the top. several tiles not repaired only a band aid patch placed that will wear off quickly. Hired a home inspector is worth it, although my issues are inside the house. I had a home inspector and he save me by pointing out bad work such as the problem with the roof (sloppy work), he saw the standard water and the bad landscape just to name a few. When the homeowner walks through, look at everything, ensure that your upgrade is quality and what you paid for (mine was not), ensure that the floors are free from having paint drip on them (I am still removing paint drip), ensure caulk is where it should be and no hole, ensure the landscape is done right and when using the sprinkler there ...

Design center ruined our bathroom and kitchen design . The lack of trust is an understatement , the GSM that handled the escalated issues with the design flaws and the designers mistakes did nothing. The blame game is bestowed on the buyer and not your design team as what your GSM tells the buyer . Pulte mortgage as the neighbors called it is a joke with the last minute games and delaying tactics . I can go on and on but what does this solve ? Pulte packs a lot of square footage into the price. The homes in our subdivision have good curb appeal. However the "Pulte Standard" means whatever is the cheapest and fastest. You will also get nickled and dimed to death. There also will be changes made without notice. We were told that we were not getting the entire lot sodded like the other homes, but only the front. . . this after we were under contract. We had an in ground sprinkler system in the contract which was included as an incentive. Then 3 months in Pulte pulled it stating they were not going to put sprinkler systems in. ...
