I recently had the displeasure of going with Pulte on my new home, and I must say, it was a nightmare from start to finish. The craftsmanship was subpar, with sloppy work evident in every corner. Once I moved in, I am dealing with a laundry list of issues, from crooked walls to leaky faucets. If you're considering building with Pulte, I highly recommend getting a thorough inspection from a third party before finalizing anything. Don't make the mistake I did of trusting their workmanship blindly.

Since the day of the house check list, where I detailed the defects in painting and finishing to the builder, many of the problems were not resolved until the day of closing and after closing they still did not resolve the problems. I had problems with irrigation that I had to resolve on my own. Many promises but nothing resolved. very disappointed with the company that built the house

Lot of quality issues and issues with workmanship. Even after the closing day there were lot of paints issues that were not fixed. I have talked with few others in community and their experience is similar. I driveway I understand it can’t be done because of winter time but they didn’t even remove the nails from driveway which caused 3 tire punctures and tire replacements for guests visiting the house. Cabinets not done properly and I am still waiting for them to fix after more than 45 days after closing. Overall not so great experience. They charge you a lot of money for simple upgrades ...

Love our community and home not impressed with quality

We love the Cardinal Point Community and lifestyle associated with it. Our home plan is perfect for us however the quality is not what it should be for the price paid. We have been told we can't request service unless it is something major so we are living with sticking doors, uneven paint, poor drywall finish (garage is atrocious), cracking driveway among other issues.

I have been in my home for a little over a month. Obviously I am going to find imperfections, but there are far too many things that pop up that just show laziness. Holes in drywall, nicks and dents in drywall, grout splattered and stuck to tiles/walls, chipped grout, cracked paint in almost every ceiling corner. I've had the project manager/customer service come out to inspect some of the issues, said they would have it taken care of in a couple weeks. it's been over 3 weeks and there is still no update.

We are happy with the quick response for any issues. Since Putle is the one of the popular builder, we had great expectations regarding the quality and finishing by the time we close the house. However, we were very disappointed with the poor finishing. We see a lot of paint patch works across the home, doors paint wearing off in two weeks, they fixed it but same repeated. Unclean finish of grouting in the bathroom tiles. Doors misalignments and so on. Carpet issues like, it came off in a week not happy.

Disappointed Build Quality

Sales team, design team and lending team were good. No real issues there. Quality of product is a different story. From quality of materials to work ethic of sub contractors, we had issues from the moment framing started. So many issues with walls not being squared that it’s become laughable at this point. Our original construction manager was disengaged and made constant excuses. Luckily we walked the the house weekly and took pictures so we stayed on top of him non stop but still had issues getting issues addressed. He was replaced with another manager and I will say he has been amazing. ...

The language of the sales person changes once you sign the contract, they never give you all the correct information to make informed decision. But the knowledge of sales person was good and helped us make great selections. Construction manger very rigid, he is just for passing information, only time he was responsive was when he wanted a rating of 10. Customer service team responds to issues as per their convenience. The whole home construction experience is designed as per Pulte convenience and not Customer convenience/satisfaction. At the end but the house was good the experience was bad.

Build quality of the home is not very great. Option selection process is not very informative, sales executives not always know the correct details and mis-guide in making selections. Design appointments are a disaster with no proper lighting and time to make selections. We have to make all the selections in one meeting and we are rushed into making decisions. Building process was decent overall but when it comes to fixing any open issues, the construction team does not respond and even when they do, they only fix the issues partially or improperly. Home is decent and the floor plans are good ...

We had 4 construction managers in our building process and only Tom our last manager had goodcommunications skills. I know each manager has many homes to handel but some questions would take less than a minute to reply.

Our sales person and final construction manager were very good. Otherwise I feel the level of effort and comunication was poor. The site, and every other home sites on the street were all trash dumps. With a dumpster less than two feet away the workers would just throw garbage, bottels, construction materials on the ground. No one seemed to care that the construction site looked liked a dump. The inside was the same with food, wrapers , bottles left over the house. On one visit to the house we had to duck flying birds trying to eat the leftovers. While I feel the structure is sound the ...

We had an awful experience with our sales person. Much confusion and back and forth. A lot of information that was provided was just incorrect or portrayed poorly. The one person who made it better was our building manager, Lily. She was one of the only competent, honest and reasonable people we worked with.

The homes are built so fast that there is limited quality assurance: heat pump not wired correctly, sewer line blocked by construction debris, lawn sprinkler control faulty, paint and drywall residue on floor tile, seal around front door has a gap that sunshine can be seen through and the list goes on.

Once they have your money they are very unresponsive and do not stand behind even their stated timeframes. As an example when you enter a ticket they will “get back to you within 24-48 hours”. Often it is weeks and sometimes not at all. As this is my second Pulte build I thought the first was “COVID related”. It is not. They don’t respect your time, or your property. Very disappointed with customer service and lack of care once the property is sold.

Felt very pressured to sign towards the end of the building process, along with a threat from management to seizure our home. Overall, process started very smoothly but turned very contentious when the end of the year approached and our home was rushed to be completed before December 31.

Susan was great in showing us all the community has to offer and would highly recommend her to anyone. We have always been a fan of Pulte and have been following their progression in the area for the last 10 years, so I am a bit disappointed to finally have a Pulte home and immediately have to address many albeit minor but many issues through the warranty process despite having the builder promise to address most of the issues prior to closing. The warranty process can be great if you can get someone to message or call you back. It takes longer for customer service to acknowledge your ...

I had initially worked with a hardworking Pulte team from the start to closing. They were very attentive and did what they could to get me to through my closing. Then closing happened and the quality of service began to taper off. The warranty team and the lack of customer attentiveness and professionalism specifically from my customer care manager has completely tainted my experience from great to terrible. I closed on Dec 1, 2023. It is January 25th and I have not been able to unpack my dishes, some major household furnitures, and quite frankly I have not enjoyed my new home because of ...

Our initial buying experience was great. The sales process was organized and simple. Due to turnover of the sales team, we fell through the cracks on many fronts. Our project manager Kristopher was great up to closing, however with issues that were not fixed prior to closing they have yet to be addressed, and now I am getting crickets. Very concerning, in not receiving any insight etc.

Though it is a good value for the price I paid, I had numerous challenges throughout the home buying process. The biggest issue is lack of communication and flexibility. I purchased the home which was backed out by another buyer and decided on few upgrades. Pulte is not at all flexible to make any changes to the structural upgrades though the construction has not even started. The second issue I faced is lack of communication and workmanship. I am ok to push the closing by pushing few weeks if Pulte needs extra time to deliver a quality product. But we need to be informed. In the end, we ...

We started the process very excited and optimistic, but after closing there were a lot of disappointments. The "upgrade"s we paid for, feel more like cheap downgrades due to poor material and workmanship. We paid extra for a recirculating pump on the water heater to have instant hot water; it was never delivered. We were promised a number of repairs and touch-ups will be made just prior to closing; after closing we found out many of those were never done... We were also given false information about various things like irrigation system, etc. only to find out it was all wrong.
