We had a rocky path with Pulte. They use good products and build a good home, but we have never seen such poor customer service especially with the amount of money we spent for our home. The cabinets have still not been finished and have many issues that have not been fixed after being in the house for two months. We have asked for a handful of punch list items to be completed and maybe half have been done. Now I can’t even get a hold of our construction manager. He no longer calls me back after multiple attempts to get a hold of him. I escalated it to his manager but that has had no impact as there is still no communication or at least a timeline for when we will see items completed. Painting vet poor job and kitchen cabinets need repair, closet door not hung correctly, missing shelf holders submitted tickets and no response. Also not seen street cleaner in a while and debris from high winds need cleaning and walkways need cleaning for resident need to use them

1 year to construct house. Sales team and design team has given tough time. More than 2 months, there are many issues not addressed yet which was noted during closing.

Our experience started strong with the sales and design center. It fell apart when the construction department took over for the actual work. We now understand why people pay more for “custom” built homes and if we build again that’s what we’d do. We’ve compared them to ours and their better quality and finish is undeniable. This is our second Pulte new home in five years, same area. We paid nearly double the price for an unbelievable decline in workmanship. Dustin and Nathan set high expectations for quality throughout the process and they fell well short. We closed 56 days ago and we’re still struggling to get the closing checklist items complete. Our final superintendent, Nathan, never came back after we closed choosing to not honor his word to complete the work. Warranty finally met with us yesterday so we’ll see what actually gets done. We expressed our concerns in comments and ratings on Pulte’s own survey. They haven’t contacted us which tells me their management team and CEO do not value the survey or customer feedback. Been in new home for one month now. They forced us to close by Oct 1 to hit their quota after we waited over a year for it to be finished. Now waiting weeks for someone to feed pond to all my issues that were not complete. My punch list. Everyone dark except these surveys

The house cost me almost half a million dollar however the quality of material and the job was very poor. The house was incomplete at the time of closing. From chipped tiles, incomplete flooring, bent and missing window screens, to poorly made cabinets, dirty work on the front yard and so many other things. I was promised that the outstanding items were going to be done within few days after closing. Good luck with that. More than a month past closing and I am still following up those pending items. Aside from all those bad things, there is a very good manager who has helped me a lot after taking over someone else who didn’t finish the job properly. Otherwise, I am very disappointed at Pulte. Quality of product very poor. Sadly with a spec home you don’t get a choice of products. The products used in the home are amongst the most cheaply produced (i.e kitchen cabinets, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures etc.)

My experience is not great . Lot of issues with the construction and poor job on the construction

still we are waiting for fix backyard door and backyard groung not fixed well (not safe for kids)so i want that fix it as soon as possible

There are many issues due to poor workmanship and also have had a very poor response to have them rectified. Been in the home over a month snd the issues and findings just keep on coming. Very disappointed!

Quality of the materials used are not good as well workmanship.

The quality of drywall, carpentry and attention to detail are not good. Also, after my walk through numerous items were supposed to be completed. A month and a half later I’m still waiting. Not enough management to oversee contractors. Electric was only service that was great. Disappointing once they have your money.

The whole building process started good, but it took Pulte 8 extra months to complete the project resulting me extra 16k out of pocket (interest rate, month to month lease). Our builder Josh, and Stephanie was unresponsive most of the time. They simply did not care. Also, who pays for 450k but get a thermostat that is not even wifi capable?

Poor quality and service

I closed on my Edgewater property on May 9. I am still waiting for the painters to paint the concrete wall that patch a hole in the garge and a baseboard in the kitchen and a slider to keep the guest bedroom closet door in place. I waited from 1-4 last Friday and one person came out and glued the house back on my house for the second time. The grab bars I was promised were never installed in my shower either. I am 81 years old. i have to go over to my daughters house to shower. This is ridiculous and unacceptable!!! My project manager has not contacted me either like the warranty dept. promised. ... More

Our sales rep Danny was great. Our framing and drywall inspections were fine. There was zero quality control after drywall was installed. Closing day was hectic with multiple major repairs being made. The “celebration” was a joke. It was spent identifying large and small issues around the house. Many have been resolved, but most are still pending. Damaged entry doors, broken flooring, scratched tubs and more touch up. We love the layout of the home and our lot.

Pulte title company was horrific at communications. Omar Wes and Maria kept me sane through this process and they were the only reason I continued to move forward with pulte. A lot of the issues I had were with the trades and the poor workman ship. I’m now in my home and see so many flaws. Whenever i reach out to Pulte warranty, they have an excuse for everything, which is unacceptable in a house that cost so much. My lights dim and flicker and their own electrician told me that my house was underpowered. My carpet is torn, baseboard missing paint, tons of drywall seems can be seen through paint, and an excessive amount of bulkiness in my carpet. ... More

Throughout our construction process we had many questions around Pultes set and missed timelines. During that process we were made to feel like we were in the wrong with unacceptable responses, if we even got one at all. Would not go through this process with Pulte again.

The sales and build process was outstanding. However the process to get construction issues corrected after close has been terrible. Our Customer Care Manager is more interested in making excuses or finding reasons why they should not address the problem than fixing what are overall minor problems.

Once you close on the property, I can't seem to have any luck getting hold of anyone for service request.

We decided to buy our first home with Pulte because we had heard really good things. But the experience has not been good. First there were hardly any flexibility on choosing different options. There was only 1 model home but pulte was offering 5 different designs. They did not had good digital experience to help make decisions. Very rigid timelines and no much flexibility on making changes. They were adamant on closing because they wanted to meet there timeliness so gave the house with so many open issues and now to resolve them I have to plead to get the attention. The standard answer is by end of spring which can be in June. But the same things are already been taken care of new houses that are been built. So it gives the impression that once they got the money, we are not priority anymore. Finally the quality of construction is below par. I am coming from old rental apartmebt and J could see they having better construction. The way the things are now going I am sure all the good will and brand value will soon be lost. Our sales rep at the beginning of the process of buying our home was fantastic. He was proactive in his communication, regularly checking in to provide updates about the progress of our home purchase and build. Our construction manager was responsive in a timely manner to our requests for updates. We understood the lack of proactive communication, because he expressed that he was extremely busy because he was the only Spanish-speaking employee in the area so had many Spanish-speaking clients he had to liaise with. Still, he was able to provide a timely response to any questions we had. As we approached closing, our contact with Pulte began to go downhill. We had several issues pop up at the last minute regarding the workmanship and quality of finishes in the home. It has been more than two months since closing and some of the pre-closing repair requests have not been addressed. The responses from the warranty department are not made in a timely manner. We have purchased other new construction homes in the past and have received much more prompt, professional service from those builders. Overall the house is beautiful but it was not delivered in the condition we contracted for. Closed on my home in March. Multiple issues with workmanship and missing items. Everyone says they are going to rectify the problem, but all I get is multiple lies and put off. My advice is not to close on the home until everything is satisfactory. They say they will come back to fix the problem but never do.
