Pulte Homes - Lots of punch list and pick up items were not completed prior

  • Eric D.

Lots of punch list and pick up items were not completed prior to closing and now after closing post 6 weeks they are still not even started. The design center should have had better pricing for the consumer to compare and contrast, and should have had more options. The side yard set backs are terrible and need to enhance the community property better.

The location is great but unfortunately the new home isn't without multiple problems that after 1.5months from move in are still "being evaluated for scheduled repair" It's extra stress and annoyance that takes away from the enjoyment of the move to our new house.

Lots of mistakes and over promises. I have been waiting a few months for only the minor items to be corrected with no resolve. Some mistakes are irreparable after the build and some will put a big burden on living in the house as they are corrected

sales office was great in dealing with them. The problem is with the closing crew and not following up on customer request or even returning phone calls, text messages, etc. If pulte values their customers they should hire more people to handle the job requirements or hire personnel that do not ignore your phone calls.

Experience with Pulte is pretty average. Some building materials feel cheap in comparison to our previous build. Obvious lack of craftsmanship and attention to detail by many of their vendors. Issues have been, or are being addressed, but they definitely drag their feet and some repairs were not completed as they should have been due to procrastination.

Frustrated

A week into moving into our new home I discovered a leak in my front window which has pieces of drywall falling as well as water marks on the wall underneath. Days later I had a new leak in my roof which came through my master bath as well as my kitchen ceiling. I have been reaching out to the warranty company for 3 1/2 weeks now to get my “roof inspection report” and get my home fixed. In addition, I am still waiting for repairs from pre closing to be completed and I continue to watch my sod die. I love my home but these past 6 weeks have been extremely frustrating.

Pulte Homes - We’re having to deal with issues that took several years to develop

  • Louis S.

We’re having to deal with issues that took several years to develop in our previous home, here in a couple months of living here. A prime example is stress cracks in the drywall near door openings. Also have a seal that’s come loose on the glass shower door which we NEVER had happen on our glass doors in our previous home. Also trim pieces in and outside the home not cut correctly and caulking cracking inside the home. Some of these issues have been addressed but not others. We have a bedroom door which won’t latch and I was expecting someone Friday, August 23, to fix it. A repair order had ...

No builder is going to give you a "perfect" experience. Pulte did a good job, but plenty of room for improvement. Construction-wise there are a LOT of small touches missed that collectively take away. Many of these things wouldn't really even cost anything except a few extra minutes of care (something that used to be called pride of workmanship which sadly is a lost art in our society). I will say that compared to DR Horton homes nearby, Pulte is head & shoulders above. Quite honestly, just that little bit extra customer service and care in the construction process would have been 5 ...

At our final walkthrough, we were told to watch for any issues that may need to be addressed within the first week after closing. We kept a list after moving in and reached out to the job site manager on day 6 to go over the needed repairs. He told us that he would have everything scheduled or repaired within 2 weeks. We have now been in our home for nearly 2 months and the only issue that has been partially addressed is the touch-ups on our cabinets. We still have nails on our roof, paint on our windows, cabinets that don't close properly, cracked hardwood floor boards, torn screens, etc. ...

The people whom I have interacted (both in Pulte Homes and Pulte Mortgage) were really great and helpful, Reg. Quality of materials, I am concerned. Mostly with the quality of inside doors ((the synthetic wood just peels off),) garage walls (plenty of room for insects between the dry wall and the floor), dish washer (which will never get dry), internet ports (just one at the corner of a two storeyed home) and door locks (none at the master bath room). I am not happy with the plan documentations either. Requested for a underground pipe layout plan of the backyard. But it was turned down, ...

My husband and I were super excited about the purchase of our new home. The sales consultant we worked with seemed very credible at first, however, we soon discovered that most of the information she provided was just a sales pitch. She misinformed us about a few different items related to the structure of the home and the percentage owed based on the options chosen. This information was never discussed, however, it seemed as if there was always a cover up on her end whenever it was brought up. She promised the house would be 100% ready at the time of the final walk through, she couldn't ...

The built process started ok, the foundation was laid without letting me know, so by the time I learned about it, it was already laid so I missed the opportunity to see the first step. Then the whole process went as offered time wise but the materials and the workmanship has been poor, walls crooked and with lots of paint drippings and scratches, finishes with multiple problems, the cabinets in all kitchen and bathrooms of really poor quality and workmanship, crooked or scratched.
