Beautiful Home - Dishonest Sales Team

Buyer Beware! If you ever purchase a model home make sure the price you are paying is for a house that is "as is". We bought a model home in Vista Bella in San Antonio, TX and the builder did their best to avoid bringing the home up to new home specifications. Although the new home contract said the home included window screens, during the last days prior to closing they stated they couldn't and wouldn't be including window screens. Because we were ready to move into our new home we signed and addendum, however it still wasn't professional to decline to include window screens with a home. ...

In comparison to a custom home builder the quality of our Pulte home is poor. Walls aren't straight, tile is crooked, windows aren't level, and paint work is lousy. Perhaps all production builders have the same bad quality, but for this pricetag you should be able to expect better workmanship! I won't buy another Pulte house!

We still haven't had our 30 day walk through where we do have areas of concern. There will always be doubt due to how the buying and follow up processes have been executed. This probably will fall on death ears.

After closing I came home to my kids bathroom destroyed because the marble guys didn’t coordinate with construction, also everything that was written down before the final walk-through was not fixed, I still have over 15 issues they have not been fixed and it’s been two months since I closed

Many systems in the house are very good but poorly integrated. Very good HVAC, very good home controls, good lighting but the ceilings in the house have holes everywhere. None of the systems are aesthetically aligned, multiple access panels for service, each contractor did what they wanted without any overall management. Cleaners came in and ruined stained doors and trim by using bleach and water to sanitize home. Kitchen cabinets are not commercial. Installer drove nails through the side of cabinets, smeared putty all over finished surfaces, cabinet trim fell off, scratches everywhere, ...

We first looked at Pulte homes in early June with a wonderful individual, she had a great personality, was open, honest and a pleasure to work with. Almost immediately after signing our contract, she was moved to a different location and a new representative was going to take over. All seemed fine until the emails responses were delayed, the responses were not detailed and the ask of a simple question seemed like too much work. Once we started visiting the sites, we were OK with the process, things were going as scheduled. Then in November a change order came in that we owed 5k for a ...

Closed on home in March. Yard has still not been installed - issue is not due to COVID-19. This is a shame as we would not have poorly rated this experience prior to closing. We have been understanding about a window needing to be replaced and workers not being allowed in homes during the pandemic. However, yards are being installed consistently around the neighborhood as we watch and wait for the past 2 months.

Several years back when I moved to Atlanta I had great experience with Pulte. They built my new townhouse and I was included each step of the way, had a great finished product and great follow up. For this purchase/build, I purposely sought them out as this was to be my 'retirement' home (as in I didn't want to move again until I truly retire in a few years). But with all that has happened since I financed with Pulte, took ownership of the house and lived here for a few weeks I do not plan to A) stay here for the long haul or B) invest in another Pulte home. As always I am glad to work ...

My wife and I fell in love with the model home and went ahead with purchasing of the home. The Sales Associate that we worked with was awesome. The building experience was not bad either. We relocated from Chicago so could only come down a few times to review the progress on the home. Project Manager building home Was responsive as well. We had scheduled our final walk through 6 weeks in advance and had requested an early morning meeting as my wife had to leave for business trip right away and was going to be gone until closing. Pulte talks a lot about quality but the contractors they use for fit and finish are terrible. We closed on our house and there are still a lot of issues that Pulte has yet to fix. From missing siding, to poor caulking, uneven drywall, scratched appliances- you name it. I am confident that our framework was done correctly but from a fit and finish standpoint Pulte misses every mark.

The good - the build quality was generally good. It's been a month since I moved in and I see the quality and workmanship are comparatively good to homes that I had researched. The bad and the ugly - 1) I was cheated in the options package. I opted in for a smart home package which included among other things a smart garage door opener. This item along with the smart door lock were the only items which warranted the price quoted. I later learnt from neighbors that the smart garage door opener was standard and was installed even if we don't opt for the smart home package. I was never given ...

Just closed on a new Pulte home and the they tried their best to get me to close with most of the finish work sub standard. I spent lots of energy getting them to do a half decent job when they tried to pass off substandard work. Subs rush through the work and don't care a bit about getting things straight, flat, or aligned. Pulte will attempt to fix things if you complain but even then it's still minimal quality. Go for a base home and add things after closing. Any extras you pay for aren't worth it because the workmanship is so poor. Make sure you get everything in writing because ...

Hello, This is second time we are building a new home. This time it was from a big national builder-Pulte Homes. We liked their open concept plan and we think we got a good price for the house. But the build experience was bad. Lot of dried up drywall dust on the floor and windows, it was not cleaned up well especially on window frames. They had missed some key things we had purchased-no garage opening machine and keypads, flat panel tv package etc. The walk through and closing was all rushed because of issues with county inspections so we couldn't do a comprehensive check before closing. ...

This is my 3rd new house and the craftsmanship is disappointing, cheap materials, poor paint job, doors rub/warped. We have only been here a short time and now we are having appliance issues. The construction workers do not respect that someone is living here now, starting work before 7 am, parking in front of my house so guest can not, blocking my driveway. The supervisor was nice offering help after we moved in but he left with out introducing us to his replacement, abandoned us.

Competitive pricing and features from a market review, nice location. Excellent experience up until 8 weeks before closure. However, the closure and now 6 weeks post closure has been an exhausting experience, with the need for me to become a project manager of all the open issues in my home. We thought we were going to have a beautiful home built for us. We walked through the model and fell in love. Unfortunately, we ended up receiving a completely different product than what we were anticipating. We feel very mislead. We have many issues with our house. We are hoping everything can be fixed, but I'm not feeling too optimistic. I believe for the amount of money spent on this house, the craftsmanship and attention to detail should be close to perfect. I am not at all pleased with the quality or lack there of of this house.

This is our first time buying a Pulte Home, we've owned a DR Horton home. Pulte did offer everything that we were looking for in a home, which was the reason why we went with Pulte. But Pulte lacks that eye for detail in the workmanship of their homes. Poor caulking technique throughout the home, grout on the tile that was not cleaned up before we moved in, lack of detail in their sheet rock cutting. Follow up is poor to get the work completed. Would I purchase another Pulte home in the future if given an opportunity...probably not.

Pulte homes go up quick and look good from a distance. It’s clear that the work is rushed and vendors are under paid by Pulte. Pulte will fix anything you point out but it’s a job to find everything. Why should I have to??? The finish work and paint is rough at best. The home was dusty and needed to be cleaned. They delayed closing because work needed to be complete which puts you in a bind with your move in date and forces you to settle with many mistakes. It’s a quickly built home but it offers a poor value.
