The construction area is constantly a mess. There is garbage thrown every where. The workers do not seem to care that there are people who have moved in and it is now a private residence. Even though this was brought to the attention of the Sales office NOTHING is done about it. The warranty department is poor. The knowledge base of the warranty department is extremely poor.

Unfortunately, I ignored the bad reviews I saw and I regret that now. From the sales process, to the building/construction process, to now my experience post-closing has been terrible. Given how much I paid for this home, the quality is not there and they know it and just don't care. When you point things out, they minimize them and act like it's completely normal to move into a brand new house with defects - or just ignore you. Even after upgrading most things, the materials are so cheap (quality not price). Getting them to fix the issues is a whole different story. They are not responsive ...

The Pulte sales team fails to admit and take responsibility for any wrong doings or mistakes that they've made. They will attempt to sweep their mistakes under the rug and fail to communicate their errors or find a solution. You will have to contact them many times in order to receive a response. However, Dustin, the construction manager, is great to work with! He spends quality time reviewing the construction process during each step of the home building process!

Our new home was built to a very poor level of quality. It looks like they used bargain bin/defective sheetrock and trim throughout. Cheapest possible appliances, carpet, cabinets, and paint. Wish I had gone with a different builder.

First, I believe this is a reputable builder nationally; however, my experience in San Antonio was awful. 1 out of 5 based on the following: The builder represented the house was ready. I sent my inspection crew as a result. The house in fact was nowhere near ready. A day later the builder wanted to close on the house and insisted on keeping the closing date, while ignoring the facts. We signed contract in July 2021 with expected closing date in April 2022. We finally closed at end of September 2022 with house not completely finished. Still waiting for some items to be finished. Had leak in ceiling still not repaired.

We started the home buying process of our current home in September 2021. Due to delays, the closing was completed by September 2022. In between we had bad experiences after another with the on-site supervisors. During closing day we learned that the Certificate of Occupancy hasn’t been issued, and therefore closing had to be postponed. Since we were staying at hotel and we needed a place to stay, the office advised us to stay at hotel and they will issue a reimbursement for expenses. Why did Pulte require me a disabled retired veteran to pay 17k dollars down payment to start my contract to build my home. My credit scores were above 800 during the buying process. Also Pulte only offered a 30 day closing option just to wait for the interest rate to rise.

Pulte homes is overpriced for the quality of materials they produce. From the faucets to the flooring it’s all very cheap. Downstairs was mixed with carpet and tile for the standard build they ran tile @ the front door (foyer)and then just laid one piece of carpet in front of the stairs and went back to tile for the kitchen and dining area and back to carpet again for the “living room” which isn’t a living room it looked horrible. Bad experience. Every phase of construction was completed (fixed) with the absolute worst sub contractors. Pulte’s Framing was so cheap that they do not even use a top plate (2x4) on most of the interior walls. I even had to inform the builder that trusses were sitting on load bearing walls that Did Not Have a Top Plate. This could’ve been fixed when I originally told them. But no, they decked the roof, and shingled before they decided to fix the truss setting on a loadbearing wall without a top plate. After pointing out a load-bearing beam was left floating it took 3 months of constant asking for the contractor to actually fix the issue and only fixed it the day before they started hanging drywall. We have been disappointed with the home buying process and workmanship in our home. We were hoping to be excited to take possession and that did not happen. Many times our concerns were dismissed. No urgency to get things corrected. For example, our doors on the lower level will not close, at all. The carpet in one area does not meet the baseboard which leaves a gap. Very disappointed. Apparently, there are no true craftsmen working for Pulte only the cheapest laborers. There are too many issues to mention them all. The finish on the walls looks terrible. There are runs, clumps, and drips everywhere. There were several places that were marked for repair by our construction manager that the workers ignored. They have extremely bad workmanship. The number of problems we found in the first month of ownership is just ridiculous. The fireplace did not work, clearly it was not even tested by the builder. The stove has issues with multiple burners not turning on promptly. The landscaping was not evened out so pools of water were building in the yard. There are huge gaps under the baseboards but we were told it is "within tolerances." We have reported all of these and more issues to warranty and nothing has been fixed. Myself went through three different site managers in a nine month. Period there was no accountability of the work being done on my house. There was no quality control. There is still being worked on my house. Two months after I had moved in and constantly trades not showing up, who are scheduled to show up.
