Workmanship leaves a lot to be desired.

My experience has not been positive. The workers left behind lots of messes. They left black fingerprints everywhere. The plumbing was severely blocked. My toilets backed up into the tub, sink, etc. The plumbing had to be worked on twice. The tree in the front had to be replaced more than once. The garage paint is peeling since I moved in. The carpet has paint drops left by the workers in every room. The nails were sticking up and had to be fixed. There's paint on the frosted window in the bathroom and I have been asked to clean it myself! The bathroom floors and shower have silicone ...

This was our first new build and it hasn’t been the easiest experience. We have been in the house almost two months and we are still waiting for items to be fixed. For the price we paid for our home, I would have expected the house be to be perfect and the highest quality - something it has not been. I feel as if once the house was bought, we have been forgotten about. Our neighbors are complaining about many of the same items as we are. We had expected issues to be fixed prior to closing and the same items have yet to be completed. I hope that Pulte will in the end fix our issues soon.

The closing got delayed for 4 months than the estimate on the purchase agreement, the builder paid for the rates extension at closing, however, the mortgage team did not set up my unit deep information correctly, and the title team refused to make any changes, although they are under the Pulte group, their cooperation was terrible, no one took responsibility for such mistakes

With Pulte, I never felt like a valued customer. The construction was several months delayed which made the home several ten thousand dollars more expensive. But, of course, they found reasons why everything was delayed. However, no one could explain why only my home was delayed and not the others on the same street. However, eventually, Pulte named the house completed. However, Pulte seems to have its own definition of 'quality.' Skewed walls, missing paint everywhere, defective cabinets, defective mirrors, nails coming out of doorframes, broken pavers, and farmland as yards, to name just ...

The quality of products such a engineered hardwood are awfully low. We had a few scratches and broken pieces on upgrade level 3. I have also found broken piece of hardwood glued together. The quality of upgrade 5 of the cabinets are also low. I paid for chef kitchen 10500$ The hood has a a bump and after two months hasn’t been replaced . I am not going to bore you with the minutia of my experience. We had over 35 items on our closeout punch list. I work in the construction field and the quality largely depends on the lottery of subcontractors you get for the house. At any point in time the Construction manager has up to 20 homes to keep track of. It felt like because we had committed to the house that you would not get the attention to get your home fixed. Alec is my CM and he means well. Having trouble with sub availability. I feel bad that pulte doesn’t offer him any help so these homes, which are very expensive, have the ...

My experience with Pulte was less than pleasureable as a 1st time homebuyer. In the beginning my sales agent offered and sold me upgrades & options that were not available for my model. My Pulte sales agent changed and my new agent was rude and basically threatened to cancel my contract, after I questioned changes. They made multiple changes to my options and did provide me any new choices and basically "I have no choice but sign change order or he could just give me earnesr money back, and sell my home to someone else for more money." The rep at the design center was snarky and ...

It was a bad experience , Pulte used bad quality of hardwood flooring , hardwood flooring installation not good , subfloor squeaking under carpet, subfloor so thin they should use thicker and stronger one like 3/4" or 1" plywood sheets instead of OSB , floor vibrating when we walk in some area ( maybe it's joist problem ) ,the furnace in wrong spot above the plumbing stack which should be connected to the kitchen and second floor bath , to solve this issue they connected the pipe to the basement drain !! now the plumbing stack used as a basement drain without trap and this issue cause a ...

Main Water shut-off Wall: Main Shut off the wall was never working. Scheduled with RT Moore on November '16 th. It requires a 4-hour window and has to break much drywall to fix it. I was wondering how the city inspection got passed with so many issues. Unsure if all builders are the same but Pulte does not share plans and designs and quality is lacking so, be ready for surprises and oopsies. The irrigation system zones are set up in a way that does not make sense, the sod was set on top of rocks, weed and construction debris. The yard is dramatically uneven. The floor tile is not flat and the wall tile on the backsplash and the showers is worse. It is difficult to trust the brand and when they don't share tests for energy star compliance, blue prints and other plans like the irrigation system layout makes me wonder if they don't share ...

The sales and financial experience with Pulte is awful! Starting from the purchase: we designed our home without knowing about other houses that fit our lifestyle better. Since moving in; we have heard nothing from our sales representative. The design center has no idea how to assist a new buyer. They are supposedly design consultants .. not sure where the consulting comes from. Do your research. They won’t help! Purchase a $700k home means nothing. Pulte finance .. do not use. Awful!! They are misleading and do not care about you as a buyer. The house .. however .. beautiful!

We closed on our home in late April of 2022. When we arrived at our new “dream” home it was dirty and much of the detail work was sloppy. Grout debris was on the bathroom tiles. The pool had dirt, nails and other debris in it. There was paint and stucco on the pavers, the washer and dryer was not secured or level, there were pieces of shoe molding that were missing and there was molding around the cabinets and a few other places that was missing as well. The sliding glass door tracks had stucco debris making operation of the doors very difficult. The floor casings were unsecured in a few ...

Our closing date was rushed according to our construction manager he had requested the date be moved out two weeks but Pulte asked him to keep it as is (in fairness we were moving from out of state so both sides had a need to close quickly). With the date being rushed we knew there would be some punch list items that they would need to come back and take care of. They asked us to give them 2-3 weeks to make it right. Well we are over a month now still with 25 items on the list one of those items includes over 50 areas of drywall and paint fixes that are required. We have had many of the ...

The beginning of the buying process started out well. The sales rep Raeleen was very helpful Finley and friendly. Putting down the earnest money was fairly easy because Porte ahead Pulte did pretty good online tools. Contracts we signed promises were made to have a home completion around February 2022 timeframe. When February rolled around it was obvious that the house was not going to be completed in the communicated/expected timeline. Once you close on your home they do not respond to your issues as they should. I’ve been here for 2 months and still waiting on simple things that I pointed out thru the walk through of the home. I would not recommend buying a new home from Pulte, and if you do, DO NOT close until they have completed your checklist, after that you are no longer a priority. Not happy, house is pretty but workmanship is sloppy.

We have been SHOCKED at the poor workmanship on our almost $600k home! We were cornered into signing off on celebration day that the house was satisfactorily completed. It was not but we were told it would be. Lies! Every contractor we’ve brought in since we closed in May has commented on the shotty work or the short cuts taken or the lack of attention to detail that they are seeing in our brand new home. It’s a sickening feeling to hear this over and over about what was supposed to be our dream home.

Pulte is using sloppy contractors and generally doesn’t care about their customers post purchase. They installed lots of already brown, most dead sod that is not coming back to life and 2 weeks of daily watering and accused me of not watering enough despite my day 1 proof with photos and my water bill detailed usage graph, then their sod contractor came and literally yelled in my face and they are refusing to replace the dead sections they installed. Was very disappointed with the quality of construction. Warranty calls for walls and ceilings to be level within a quarter inch within 4 feet and many of them are beyond that threshold. Had to modify installations of appliances at our cost due to the fact the ceilings are way off level. Many walls are also bowed , not straight within the Warrenty threshold.
