The build of The home seemed okay when we walked through it, but the actual finishing of the home was terrible. The painting was atrocious and the house was left a mess. Grout work and tile was done poorly. Front door threshold brick doesn’t come up to meet the actual threshold and needs to be redone. Crumbled cement corners. They have good intentions but are seemingly inept at providing good service after the sale due to cut rate vendors and poorly trained personnel. Too much sloppy workmanship. They utilize your home after it's sold as a model/sample for other prospective home buyers. The materials specified are somewhat inferior at times and quite a bit of the workmanship is far from superior.

We felt really good when we signed, but once building was started the work was rushed and we felt like we were nagging when we pointed out issues. Now that we're in the house we keep finding things that annoy us. Such as the slightest finger touching a wall will leave a mark because they used very cheap, flat paint.

Pulte’s trust factor is low. They tried to get us to accept broken, faulty, dangerous cabinets in the kitchen even though they were aware of the problem before I saw the house the first time. I have been in the house over a month, and they have just now replaced them. The yard in the back is nothing but weeds. The cabinets have no pulls on them even though they were not made to be used without them, the appliances are very low grade, and Pulte refused to replace the tub/ shower combo for my son who is disabled and a vet even though I was willing to wait for it and pay for it. Low quality with not attention to detail results in a subpar home. They do enough to “finish” the home, but every day I notice something new such (cracked and jagged tiles, crooked pulls, nicked hardware, dented cabinets, stained counters). Given these issues I do wonder about the things we can’t see. Requests for fixes result in a not covered under warranty/ not our responsibility response.

Pulte's lack of responsiveness and truthfulness

Pulte tried to ignore major structural deficiency, tried to force us, the customer, to accept poorly installed LVT floor, installed a garage door if less cost than what was shown at the time of contract signing, left a very dirty garage floor with ingrained dirt and refused to clean, and fraudulently claimed exterior grading and sod installation as weather delayed construction at the time of closing and still have not completed the work 6 weeks after closing. There are several other deficiencies that I do not want to include here for the lack of space and time.

During the mortgage application process we were asked to provide the same financial and personal information multiple times as Pulte lost or misplaced it. Pulte provided at least three different closing closet amounts and was unable to explain why the amounts charged / increased.- and were blindsided with additional cost at the actual closing . The priority is house is closed (or) not. They don't care about the buyers. what issues they will have (or) not ? Example: they will give u 0 wood like ties. They will not give you extra bricks, paint ...issues after reporting will be addressed later ..Quality of construction is also not upto the expectation...They can do much better.

Pulte would rather come back out to fix problems 3,4, and 5 times than do the job write the first time. They employ subpar contract laborers that are not skilled in their trades. We were told that everything past inspection, city code and inspectors have a really low bar.

We have been greatly disappointed by a number of issues. We were pressured to close on the house with outstanding issues as we were guaranteed that they would be fixed in a timely manner. I have very bad experience with Pulte . Before closing 3 days , we walk through house and we founded so many things which are not properly installed . Overall, it was a good time to buy a home which is why i did. Prices were rising and you needed to get in somewhere. Would I go with Pulte in the future? No, i'd try someone else out. I had to stay on top of them during the build process and when i mentioned issues, i was assured it would be taken care of. Houses are really built with very poor quality, there are lot of echo and you can hear through walls up stair/downstair, also even slow walk sound as a big bang noise. flush in a bathroom will create noise as if there was a big machine turned on and it is very lound rt below bathrooms (this is a big issue where we have work from home and in the meeting), this itself show how poor quality is.

Pulte gives very few choices and charges a premium for many things that we felt should be included in a house. Although I realize Pulte is not a custom builder, we were disappointed by the selections, workmanship, and quality of building materials.

They pushed/forced us to use Pulte mortgage even though we already had our own broker. We applied, but ended up using our broker as Pulte couldn't match. First, the following is not only based on my wife’s and my experience. After talking to neighbors, similar if not the same issues have been observed on many levels. The list below is not only our impression but was already recognized by the quality manager from Pulte. He wrote the list and I am just copying/pasting parts of it here. After our first walkthrough a lot of things got marked with tape with the explanation that it will be taken care of before move in day (that was expected, no complaint here!). Pulte creates too many homes that it cannot keep up with, thus the quality suffers. Finishings were poor such as painting was awfull, many places were missing paint entirely, choices of wood were poor as noticed during construction, final grading still is not complete after 2 months, window signs still in windows above garage, responsiveness is very slow often times months.
