Buyers remorse

I’m disappointed. The workmanship is below average. In my opinion they rushed to build my home so they can get it off inventory before the year ended. I have issues with the lawn, bugs and pest as well. They planted dead grass and trees and now the landscaper said there is a fungus in the grass. They should just replace it rather than telling me they fertilized it and just wait.

Issues with Pulte Home

Pulte does not standby their product. Response time to warranty issues related to heating, plumbing and appliances is slow. You can wait more than a week for an initial service visit and the repairs can take weeks to complete. Pulte does not seem to be concerned with the quality of the components they use to build the houses and they do not take any responsibility for the individual components such as the furnace, appliances, and windows, etc. The homeowner has to resolve any issues with these components directly with the manufacturers.

Drive way is cracking after 7 day of move in , most of the issues that we pointed out before the closing never got fix , tile floor is uneven, trim work is really poor , caulking in some areas looks like a 5 years old did it , you can see where on the walls where the paint was touch up , a lots of areas with a rough texture , we had a irrigation leak for almost a month , over spray in windows on the outside , trims in the house not painted right , overall a bunch of little stuff that will take my time out of work so I can be there for the bunch of vendors that will be going in and out my ...

Cheap Materials and Unclean

I would never build another home with Pulte. The people are nice and the paperwork processes were modern, but the home itself has the cheapest materials and fixtures, with little to no attention to detail. Uneven floors, lumpy yard, hacked cabinets, 40gal water tank for 4 bed, 3,000+ sq. ft. And after all the months of construction seems as if it was only broom swept.

We closed on our new home on Halloween, 10/31/19, after doing a walk through a few days prior. Closing on Pulte's schedule has turned out to be a mistake. We were assured that all open items would be addressed expeditiously. Although a few issues have been taken care of, the majority has not. So we are apparently no longer a priority as Pulte constructs new homes around us. Our excitement about moving into a new community in a brand new home has been dampened by Pulte's lack of professionalism and apparent disinterest in making things right. We have learned a valuable lesson should we ...

Not a happy customer... 1) Two days after negotiating and signing contract, Pulte lowered their base pricing by 10,000 and drastically reduced the pricing of all upgrades. This wiped out any of the concessions we received in negotiation. We could have backed out of the contract, lost our $5,000 deposit, re-signed a new contract with new pricing and still saved thousands. In no way did Pulte make us feel like we were valued at all as customers. We considered walking away. 2) Any concessions Pulte gives to use Pulte Mortgage are almost useless because Pulte Mortgage charges astronomical Loan ...

FL townhome - "sloppy" workmanship and quality control

Generally very poor finishes and workmanship. A few major faults - for example, one wall was bowed at the bottom and when it was cut open, the drywall was installed over a scrap piece of wood that fell on the floor. A wall in the bathroom that joins the shower stall is not straight. Our range had a fault at closing that made it inoperable and required it to be replaced that took almost two weeks to replace. Lots of minor finish issues - including bottom window frame leaks during heavy rain, tiles not flush in shower stall,

I am not sure if the closing was rushed, but if your home is not ready, I would suggest you do not move in and sign any paperwork! It has been almost two months and we still have people in and out of our home trying to finish everything that was not completed in time or done poorly. I thought Pulte took more pride in making quality homes and now we are finding everything in the home is done a the least cost possible. Not satisfied with Pulte at all!

Pulte Homes - tile fell off front of house only 33 days.

tile fell off front of house only 33 days. The General Contractor told me I have to get with insurance company for the damage. ONE TILE fell off in middle of roof! We are not happy. Insurance adjuster told me it was about a 15 minute job for $100 and our deductible is $1000. I asked GC if he has a person who could get and replace same tile. Have not heard back from Don about this. All other items have been taken care of-to be fair.

Never fully completed home after continued promises . Always had excuses because of it’s this contractors fault it’s that contractors fault. That shouldn’t be my problem as a home buyer. And I shouldn’t have to make 1000 phones calls to get it fixed after a problem has already been noted multiple times. Multipurpose things also had to be fixed or change because they were not what was selected at design center .

My wife and I had such high hopes when we started the process with Pulte and after closing and moving in we are extremely disappointed in the building team and the service provided. It seemed to be the epitome of bad service and very poor customer service. From the design center to the building team and management. The process throughout was more than frustrating. We took the time to walk through the designing stage and were given our upgrade options. We picked out several upgrades and signed off on a contract with the designer to then be told that an important option we signed off on could ...

C-Grade Subcontractors

Pulte homes are built using C-Grade Subcontractors at best, who are incentives-ed by quick turn over. Pulte Field managers advocate for the builders and reward poor quality work, and not work for the home owner. Much attention is paid to the model unit but not to the purchased homes. I would recommend hiring a private Project Manager and Inspection agency to oversee the construction.

The house looks nice but the workmanship is poor. Only a couple of days after moving in we found many issues with the house. Crushed ducting in the attic, air conditioner breaking, cabinets not installed correctly, appliances not installed properly, wiring done incorrectly, and poor job on the wood floors to name some of the issues. It has been evident the work was done without any regard to quality in mind. The builder did not follow through on several things we were told were going to get done. 3 main issues throughout the 19 month construction process...yes...19 months. 1.) Poor communication throughout the organization 2.) Poor timeliness in the building timeline 3.) Quality of workmanship was below average. If you're looking for a builder with a lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and blatant basic construction flaws, then Pulte is your company. A company that is clearly interested in THEIR bottom line. Worst buying experience I've ever had in my life.

We didn't get truthful information about the number of basements in the addition from the sales person and that is why I am giving a 1 star review on trustworthiness. I feel like this is basically a good home, but we can't get some of the last detail work completed which is why I am giving a 1 star review on responsiveness. I'm also frustrated because it's early June and one of the few sunny days we've had since we closed in April, but there are no landscapers working in the addition. At this rate it's going to be fall before we get sod and landscape.

Be very careful of doing a contingency with this company. They will start building the home prior to the contingency expiration. Get things in writing from your sales rep so that you have proof of what they tell you. Upgraded cabinets to a level 3 and they were not installed correctly. Placed hands on stair railing end piece, with some weight behind me and it broke (inside is pressed board). Paint used on walls is poor quality (1 wipe with a washcloth and it comes right off). Pulte does a poor job inspecting the quality of their installations. They prioritize speed and will accept risk if it results in a short cut.
